Apollo & Diana
Two drifters from god-knows-where. Diana used to consider messing with Apollo to be her job, and Apollo is none too pleased. The two were, unfortunately, bound together by methods unknown for two whole years; Diana couldn't go more than 20 feet away from Apollo without being physically restrained by some odd force and pulled toward wherever he was going. The two still have an extremely bad reputation, mostly thanks to Diana, and Apollo is trying his best to get rid of it.
Apollo and Diana's names are derived from Diana making puns when they first found each other. Because Diana thought herself to be dead and Apollo seemed to be some kind of ____
that she could recall, she found the names fitting and dubbed the pair without asking Apollo first. He has begrudgingly accepted the monikers (they're better than "those two assholes," after all) but would still prefer some more dignified names.
Their relationship is a tenuous one. It used to be very strong, back when Apollo was mindlessly indulging in the same kind of misdemeanors that Diana still revels in, but has since fallen on hard times as their life goals have diverged. The two are somewhat protective of each other, if only for familiarity's sake, but Apollo has been much less sweet on Diana lately and she's taking it poorly.
Now that Diana has broken the Destiny Bond that once tied them together, the two are rarely seen together and neither likes talking about the other. Apollo tends to react with disappointment or subdued anger if Diana is mentioned, while Diana will quickly resort to violence.

Apollo isn't his real name. He has no idea what his real name is. In fact, he doesn't really know anything about himself. He knows that, deep down, he wants to make trouble. He wants to cause problems and soak in peoples' reactions to his actions. He doesn't know why, and he dislikes the idea, but this impulse is quite possibly the most familiar thing to Apollo.
The second most familiar thing to Apollo is his former partner, Diana, whom he'd spent his entire life with. Or, well, his entire Pokemon life with. He knows he wasn't always a Pokemon, but can't for the life of him discern why or how. But, since as far back as Apollo can remember, he's been tied to Diana. Or, he was, anyways... until Diana fought him one-on-one and broke that Bond herself.
Now that he's free, and no longer a Torchic, Apollo has been left to find himself without the one person he used to define himself by. He's had to grapple with an unnatural evolution, his former friend trying to kill him (twice, apparently), his toxic reputation and finally having an old pair of limbs back for the first time in ages... all at once.
That toxic reputation, by some unfortunate miracle, has stuck to Apollo like glue no matter what he does. Apollo has managed to make a name for himself as both a laughingstock and a threat during his time as a Torchic. He's that one snappy kid with bad self control. He was that one creepy bird with a haunted shadow. He's many different things to many different people, but almost none of them are positive... and, frankly, Apollo's sick of it.
Without a useless nightmare holding him back, Apollo is now aiming to better himself and dedicate his life to fighting the very evil he and Diana once helped proliferate across the City. He's ready to turn over a new leaf, and leave a legacy of helping others and caring for his neighbors. He wants to be someone his ____
can be proud of... and, now, he finally has the chance to do it.

---|---|---|
Counter | Tutored | N/A |
Destiny Bond | Natural Move | N/A |
Teleport | Experience | The only real way Diana can cheese the 20-foot limit. Can teleport her anywhere... but she always brings Apollo along when she does. Not an Escape Orb; can't teleport out of Mystery Dungeons while in one. |
Psychic | Experience | Shorthand for psychic abilities in general. This attack is essentially Diana putting her all into a proper psychic-typed move, whereas regular use of the move would probably entail variable telekinesis. |

Diana can succinctly be described as a problem. She's convinced herself of that much, and nobody's volunteered themselves to argue against it.
She doesn't know or care who she used to be. All that matters is who she is now, and who she is now is... well, she's a technicolor nightmare, and as far as she's concerned she's from your scariest dreams. Her constant sardonics and penchant for morbid jokes once helped save her in situations where her very lacking skills would otherwise have left her dead... but now that her skills are less lacking, she seems to have retained the habit regardless.
Diana's combat abilities were once subpar, especially for her species, but they have undergone a meteoric improvement as of late. She was once very uncoordinated, cursed with a very poor moveset and glaring defensive deficiencies that made sure that any fight she got into didn't last long... for her, anyways.
Nowadays, however, she is finally beginning to live up to the reputation her species once had. Able to go toe-to-toe with most opponents and even beat a few infamously stronger ones, Diana's fighting is fast and fleeting. She tends to hit and run, knowing her frailty will land her on the ground very quickly if she doesn't, focusing on being a glass cannon first and actual strategy second. The only reason she's mostly able to hold her own when caught in a hand-to-hand battle is because she isn't half bad at dodging. Although, even now, as her power is growing with consistent training and constant use, the Deoxys is convinced that her fighting abilities-- which she still considers subpar-- are what made her into a half-Ghost. Surely, if she's a Ghost-type, she must be dead... and Diana's so certain of her death being combat-related that she's never even questioned the theory as anything but a fact.
None of that really matters, though. Diana's in the here and now, and she's trying her very best to love it. The Deoxys has a penchant for bullying, going out of her way to upset others just for the fun of it, and derives genuine joy from any kind of mischief or even actual harm. The main thing she knows how to do is be a problem, and focusing on honing her main skill has helped Diana keep her sense of identity stable... even as her body has attempted tried its best to make that impossible.
Diana's form is extremely fluid to the point of being unstable: sometimes she'll be immaterial and floaty, other times she'll be as solid as any regular old mon. One day she'll be slim and standard with tentacles for arms, another she'll be thick as a brick and punching you with actual fists. She's unable to levitate like actual ghosts, but being a Deoxys allows her to fly in a manner similar enough to levitation that nobody has really been able to tell the difference. Her phasing capabilites, too, make her really live up to her secondary typing. If she lived someplace more peaceful, she'd probably spend her days randomly haunting houses to see how people react.
Despite breaking her Bond with Apollo through some simple sleuthing and learning how to pull off a Destiny Bond of her own, Diana's not convinced that she's completely free from Apollo just yet. She's convinced that giant tower in the middle of The City has to do with all of this, and she's trying to train her combat skills to take it on, even though she believes it's something of a fool's errand.
Diana actively avoids any kind of authority that would prevent her from trying to climb the Neverending Tower to its top, the Guard and other guilds included, even more so now that she knows Apollo will likely be trying to join them.

Artfags
#1
Double Trouble, me, 6/16/25. 1MP for both.
Torchic png included for your convenience; it doesn't count as a separate drawing. I'm also not counting Diana's alternate form sprites (because they're just edits) or sketches (because they're technically unfinished and really just an extension of the first artfag), but those were also made around this time; 6/16/25-6/19/25.
#2
ABSOLUTE CINEMA, Bell-Anon, 6/20/25. 1MP for Apollo.
#3
12am Pose Practice, me, 6/22/25. 1MP for Apollo.
#4
12am Diana Heart, me, 6/22/25. 1MP for Diana.
#5
PMD: Synthetic Apocalypse Roster Portraits, (mostly) me, 6/23/25. 15 different portraits (3 borrowed from the PMD portrait repository and not edited; Bell's normal form, Wyze, and Corrin), all edited to be unique to the character. Took 6 hours of nonstop work and several sprites had to be completely redone from their original "base." Therefore, I'm counting this as an artfag. 8 points total, one for each portrait I had to draw more than 50% of.
All four of Diana's forms, Mimi, Mega X, Lushian, and Apollo were all more than 50% redone. Valentine was bordering so I left her out.
#6, 7, & 8
All of Diana's alternate full-arts, me, uploaded 6/25/25. All three can be found in her alternate form rentry further up this page. 3PP for Diana.
#9
Double Trouble Dos, me, 7/7/25. 1MP for Apollo.
I'm not counting Diana here because I just superimposed the completely redone Apollo onto her old fullbody.
