I saw an L2D of a girl getting whipped/stripped/manhandled. How do I do that?

Obtain 1 copy of that girl's costume (banners) and check the Glupy Diner pack once you unlock it - chances are she'll be there as Fated Guest. Start dating her, unlock her special interaction, and go wild. Nebris (Newbie Pass) and Morpeah (Event Mission) are you starter wives.

Who do I take from the Infinite Reroll?

The tutorial reroll has a limited pool. Celia and Eleaneer are popular options, but you can choose any 5★ you like the looks of.
You get to recruit the girls you didn't chose (+a dupe for the girl you did choose) for free from the pub later anyway.

Celia (left) is a chainer/debuffer for (endgame) PvE boss fights and raids. The main value in recruiting her now is for her Field Skill, which is a great QoL to have: Activate Lathel or Zenith's [Search] ability first, then use Celia's [Absorb] to instantly gather all weekly finds of a map.
Eleaneer is an 11/10 sexo alternative if you'd rather have an extra (Phys) DPS or just want all of her glorious boobage on your homescreen. She mainly excels in PvP (the only non-limited 2SP dispel in the game at +3), but also comes in very handy in some of the later story packs (taunt/counter mobs).

For Equipment the value is Kry's UR Swords > Eleaneer's SR Bow (if you took her)/Wiggle's UR Bomb > Justia's SR Sword.
Don't waste hours trying to get Celia + Kry's Swords or any such perfect roll, it's all just minor stuff. Any of the above will help you.
Infinite

How to "True Reroll"?

Rerolling isn't worth it in this game. You get ~300+ free draw tickets every month, and every girl has her uses.
If you still really want to do it: Play Story Pack 1 until you get your first few starter pulls, collect draw tickets from active events/codes, and pull on a pickup banner you like.
✔️Got the rate-up girl or a double/triple 5★ hit in those starter pulls? Keep (link account).
❌Didn't get the rate-up girl or any double/triple 5★ hits? Restart.

Newglutti Tips

  1. Autobattle works for early story, not beyond that. Position, Buff, Attack.
  2. UREX/gear banners are for rank chasers, or if the unit is (you)r wife. UREX gear offers a ~10% damage boost compared to crafted URIVs (free). You'll also get some UREXs for free every month.
Feel free to give gear banners a shot if she's your wife or she is crazy good, but burning all your newglutti pulls on these is a good way to brick.
  3. You get a daily free pull on every banner. Rather than +5ing a new unit on Day 1 you might want to wait and see what the free pulls give you first.
  4. Use your monthly selective enhancement (Gold Thread Shop) to max out core supports like Liberta/Refi before you spend it on a DPS unit.
  5. Tears of Goddess are rare. Don't spend them on 3/4★ units that are not Arines/Elpis/Student Samay, on DPS increases for non-DPS units (Olstein/Celia), or on Tanks & Fixed Damage dealers unless you are into PvP (Alec/Justia/Lecliss/Glacia etc).
  6. Join a GUILD after clearing Main Story SP3. You get a daily 50.000 gold for checking in, which is a huge deal for a new player.
  7. If you like the game and can afford it: The $4.29 MEGA package gives you five 5★ costumes, 100+ pulls, a few good gear sets, and half a year's worth of materials. It is a value that you won't see in BD2 or any gacha ever again, and is available from the in-game shop/webshop for 3 days after you start. You'll get a notification before it expires.
  8. In Event Battles, you don't need to deploy the Event Costumes to get the extra currency. Just owning a copy of that costume will give the boost.

Teambuilding 101

BD2 is all about Buffers and Gear. Pair your 2 strongest (AoE) DPS with Elpis/B-Helena (if magic) or Arines/Liberta (if physical), give said DPS your best gear, and make sure that your buffers always go first in the skill order.

Any remaining slots in your party are flex. These can be units to reposition enemies with their push skills (make your AoEs hit more mobs), extra DPS to clean up leftover mobs, a crowd-control unit like Olstein/Lucrezia (Silence), or an extra buffer/vulnerability applier.
Tanks in this game are for PvP. If you do need to dodge something in PvE Andrew (4★ taunt/dodge tank) or Rou will usually suffice since you can just restart the turn if a crucial dodge fails. Units like Apostle Olivier and Pool Justia (free from the Summer Knight pack) also have fixed 100% dodges.

Physical or Magical?
Physical is what the game starts you out with and currently has the highest potential at endgame once well-invested.
Magic one-shots everything until you reach that point with its superior free/welfare DPS units and buffers.
Early on it will be easier to build a strong magic team than a strong physical team.

How to Clear Content?

Most PvE content can be oneshot with a buffed and geared up AoE DPS. Use push skills as needed and position well to make AoEs connect.

When you run into HP bloat and cannot oneshot you need to improve your characters (gear/dupes) and/or play by the Elements System. This means using an elemental buffer (Refi/Diana) + 1-2 DPS of a stronger element than the mobs you're facing. Elements are your standard Fire>Wind>Water>Fire, with Light and Dark being strong and weak vs. each other.

Besides playing by Elements a lot of battles can be cheesed by using a Silencer (Olstein/Lucrezia), stalling until death time buffs (BVMorpeah summons), a buffed/shielded up Apostle Blade (grid-wide counters), or using the "Continue" function (if the boss is within killing range).
You can also borrow 3 units per game mode, up to 3x per day from a friend. There's always solutions.

Starter Teams

General PvE Template: Buffer>Pusher or Flex>AoE DPS (mob clearer)>DPS>Flex

The game starts you with Physical, so your very first team will likely look something like this:
PhysLineup

You likely won't use this for very long, since new players have access to several free +5 mages who will just delete stuff and carry a lot of the game for you. One of your first goals should be to complete all Costume Missions for your free +5 Dalvi and Eclipse (see "Events" at the bottom of the Homescreen), and to +5 B-Helena through the special tickets you get from the Newbie Pass (Recommend Select Draw).

StarterLineup
B-Helena, Elpis, Eclipse and Dalvi, a very accessible and solid early magic team.

Whether you play Magic or still prefer Physical, you can swap out units for stronger buffers or DPS as you obtain them.

Gear/Levels

BD2 Power Scaling

Gear (on DPS) = Using Buffers > Dupes > Potential (Bonding) > BURST > Engraving (Awakening) > Levels

Levels are an easy boost for your characters early on. Dispatch to Slime Island on days where it has 2x 2x active, and push LV80 on your strongest DPS.
Once you reach the endgame (UR gear grind) you can stop doing Slime Island and just dispatch for crafting materials (or gold as needed) - the game will passively give you enough slimes to L100 everyone.

GEAR however is the single most impactful factor in the game besides buffers.

  1. Start by having Fred/Layla craft a Blue (R) IV set for your main DPS units. Upgrade the pieces to +9, optionally refine them just a couple times so they are no longer below Grade 12~14.
  2. The next stop is UR Gear. Bulk craft/dismantle N-grade Swords/Armors to quickly level your crafter and unlock UR.
Don't forget to upgrade Fred's/Layla's skill every time the Crafting XP bar is full. The 3★ Skill Books are sold by the vendors in some packs; 4★ Skill Books come from the Tower of Pride. You can oneshot pretty much all 6 Pride floors there with 1-2 buffed up AoE DPS.

Once you have unlocked UR Crafting your goal is to aim for UR III and ideally UR IV gear.
Priority: Venomous Touch > Gloves/Weapon > Double DEF or Double MRES Armors/Helmets.
Gear can be freely swapped between characters, so with 4-6 Venomous Touches, 2 MATK/CDMG Staffs, 2 ATK/CDMG Swords, 2 (non-crit) Phys gloves and 2 Magic gloves you can already get very far.

Below are the most commonly crafted pieces. Ones not shown here are situational (for specific characters or PvP):
Crafting

TIPS:

  • Accessories (Venom. Touch), Armors and Helmets are NOT class-specific - any unit can equip these. As such, try to get 3x Crit.DMG rolls on your first few URIV Venom.Touches and double DEF/MRES Armors/Helmets. This way your mages can survive and still do their damage vs physical bosses, and vice versa.
  • Weapons and Gloves however are class-specific (phys or magic), so generally people put the ATK% and MATK% rolls on these. %Percentage rolls beat flat values in 90% of the cases.
  • Scroll down on the BD2Wiki Homepage, and bulk redeem the codes for a Free URIII Venomous Touch. The 3-day MEGA package ($4.29) comes with two full UR III sets.

Where to get UR Materials?

  • Ancient Crystals (ACs): Event Shop, Towers (esp.Pride), and Last Night - you get mailed ACs daily based on your recorded highest score.
  • Crafting Materials: Daily pass missions/events, and sweeping up the weekly "finds" on the town & battle maps of Story Packs 7, 8, 9, 13, 16, 17, as well as Story Packs 1, 2, and Firechip Pack). Tip: Use Lathel's or Zenith's Search ability first and follow up with Liberta/Celia's Absorb to also succ up the hidden finds on a map.
For more crafting materials daily dispatch to HG7VH (Lizardman Altar-Very Hard) for Ores / HG9VH (Mountain Keeper's Shelter-Very Hard) for Wood. These are also the 2 Hunting Grounds you'll use for the rest of the game.
  • Ability Pills: Event Shop. If you need more beyond that you can also buy them from any pack vendor for gold. Tip: Complete any 1 purple/bulletin board quest in that pack first for a week long -10% discount.
  • Gold: Join a guild for the daily check-in (50.000), recruit Olstein (SP4 Pub) for his cat dispatches, improve your Last Night score, and get the limited golds from the event shop+other shops. You can supplement this by activating Teresse's field skill and running into the monsters on battle maps while her skill is active, selling food ingredients to shops, or dispatching to Goblin Ruins VH on days where it has double rewards active.
Engraving/Potential/BURST
  1. Engraving/Awakening (Character>Info>Engraving) is DPS boost for endgame players who have finished everything else. Skip this for now.
When you do get around to it focus on good PvE DPS units and/or tanks if you plan to PvP.
  2. Potential (Character>Costume>Upgrade) enhances the costume's skills and gives hefty stat boosts on top.
You can only "equip" the stat boosts of one costume at a time (Char>Info>Bonding), but skill nodes and minor stat boosts are applied permanently.
Focus on unlocking skill nodes that reduce a costume's cooldown or SP cost on owned good costumes: buffers first, good DPS next.

If you recently started AND own Bunny Loen or Sacred Justia:

  1. Damage per Target+ and Skill Range+ on either of those units.
    In all other cases/afterwards:
  2. -SP Cost on owned Buffers/Supports (B-Helena, B.Refi etc)>DPS.
  3. -Skill Cooldowns on units like Diana, Curse Celia, DJVenaka, Maid Lia etc.
  4. +Skill Range on buffers like on Bride Refi, Diana, MCTeresse>DPS like Loen, Venaka, Maid Liatris
  5. +% (Self)-Buff Values on buffers like Liberta and B-Helena, Diana>DPS like NH.Nebris
  6. +Vulnerability/Augmentation on those units: Track Levia, GRafina, WDVenaka, Y.Blade
  7. Damage (%) increments on good DPS.

What Bond Stats do I want?
-Elemental Damage+ in content where elemental matchups matter (Fiend Hunts/Guild Raids, H/VH Packs, Tower stages you are stuck on).
-In general PvE (or if Diana is on your team in type advantage content) use whatever gives the most (M)ATK and CDMG.
-Anything that only has Defensive stats (HP/DEF/MRES) and/or Crit.Rate is for PvP.

  1. BURST (Character>Costume>Upgrade) is an overdrive mechanic: you can spend extra SP to power up a costume/skill for that turn.
As with potential, focus on unlocking the burst potential of owned good buffers>DPS first. The more commonly used a costume is, the higher its value. Eventually you'll want to unlock BURST on everyone, but this is a very long-term goal.

Burst is primarily designed for endgame players (raids), but can also some in clutch if you are still clearing the one-time PvE content (eg burst on units like Sacred Justia or B-Helena). The materials come from the game's various shops.

Units, Banners & Pulling

Several costumes can be recruited for free from the Pub, Newbie Pass, Welfare Missions, Events like the monthly Character Pass, and Shops.
For everything else it's gacha time.

BD2 has costume and gear banners. Both have separate pity trackers, and pity persists between banners.
Costume banners are where it's at, as freely crafted URIVs are almost as good as pickup UREXs.
Costumes can be enhanced with dupes; gear cannot.

You get a free daily pull on every banner, and 10 pulls cashback the first 5 times you obtain the rate-up costume. Pity is 10 pulls for a random 4★, and 100 pulls for a 5★ (50/50 between the banner target or random 5★).
Every time you pull on a banner you also obtain a banner-specific Draw Point. 200 of these points exchange to the banner target (Hard Pity).
Unused draw points are collected after the banner ends and converted into a global currency you can exchange for costumes in the shop.

Q: PULL or SAVE?
Pull moderately, and pull HARD when good units are up.
June and December~January are the game's anniversaries and most stacked months in the game. The game has lots of generous events around that time, but even so you want to start saving up at least a month in advance.

Who to Pull/Build

The girls you like the most, since that is what gachas are about. Especially this one: mostly every girl has her use.
If Meta the priorities are: (dupes on) buffers/supporters, Limited units and good DPS/Chainers.
See the Tier List for reference. Anything in S or up is a costume you can safely invest in.

With casual play the game gives you a daily pull on every banner + ~300 pulls and five guaranteed 5★ costumes every month. It is designed so that you can get at least 1 copy of every girl as they appear. This single copy is enough to unlock her dating content (if any) and L2D+cutscene.

Aim to +5 all good buffers/support units you can, and work your way up to having at least 2 good DPS units per element.
Most costumes give their -SP reduction at +1, so try get at least 2 copies of each costume.

Pulling Strategy & Limiteds

You get a free daily pull on every banner, so a popular strategy is pull to +3 and then wait to see what the free daily pulls give you.
On the final day of a banner you can then push that unit to +4 and optionally finish the costume (+5) with the Powder Shop copy afterwards.
This does not work for Limited units; you need to pull for the desired dupe level while their banners are active.

Limited units rerun every year, around the time where their banner first launched (eg Bunny Eclipse in Winter).
Collab limiteds sometimes appear or rerun as well, but these offer no staying power in the meta and are purely preference pulls.

SHOPS: What do I buy?

Event Shop

The UR gear piece is great for new accounts, as its guaranteed SSS rolls puts it on par with a URIII+ piece in quality.
Especially UR Event Weapons, Gloves or Double Crit. DMG accessories will be massive boosts for your DPS units and thus account.
When buying UR Gear remember that you also need 27 gear tokens to fully upgrade it (=2700 event currency, so total 5700).

  1. UR Piece + 27 gear tokens

If you started too late to clean out the current shop (or if the UR is shit):

  1. 3x Tears of Goddess → Ancient Crystals → Draw Tickets
  2. Newglutti growth materials (4★ Rank-Up Stars, Red Slimes, Gold) & Ability Pills as needed.
  3. Essences/Refining Crystals as needed
  4. Dump the rest into Refining Powders until the event ends. You'll thank me later.
    Event Shop

Powder Shop (Mileage)

This is where you can buy 1 copy of any non-limited costume that just concluded its run.
Most players stop rolling on (non-limited) units at +4 since the final copy doesn't give any tickets cashback. They then +5 her with this powder shop copy.

  1. Whichever COSTUME(s) you like / are good. Nothing else. When in doubt ask in /bd2g/.
    Powder Shop

Golden Colosseum Shop

Wind and Light are the best value for the Property Selective Tickets, followed by Dark. Fire and Water are the worst options.
You get 100 Colosseum entries per week. 10 wins per week in this mode ensures you can buy the essentials.

  1. 2x 5★ Property Select Draw Ticket
  2. Ancient Crystals → Draw Tickets → Limited Gold/Powders/Elixirs.
  3. If you are into decorating your Chibi Avatar (Square), MyRoom or ID Card: this is one of the few place in the game to obtain Deco Coins.
    GCShop

Gold Thread Shop

You get Gold Threads every time you obtain a copy of a unit that is already +5. This is slow at first, but as soon as you have your 4★ units maxed out it will start to go up. The system is designed so that you can afford at least the monthly selector even as a non-spender.

  1. Monthly Selective Enhancement (1600).
The only guaranteed way to force a costume dupe outside of its banner (200 points exchange). Typically used to elevate supports/buffers>DPS.
  2. The random costume (1600) may sometimes also be worth it, or be worth it even more in some cases. Ask in /bd2g/ if not sure.
  3. Spenders/veterans can also grab the Tears, Property Draw Ticket, Draw Tickets or Powders.
    GT Shop

Mirror Wars Shops (PvP)

  1. Monthly 5★ Costume (18000 tokens)

If you can afford it:

  1. Refining Powders (NOT crystals)
  2. Gold

Get the costume if it is a good (ask in bd2g if not sure). If it is shit (or you don't need it), get the powders/gold and skip the rest.
18000 tokens seems steep, but there is a trick to it. Assemble an offense/defense team and let your 40 free runs play out manually the first time you do Mirror Wars after the weekly reset on Monday.
On all subsequent days you can then set the cocktail consumption to 40 and burn them all in a single one-tap.

Evil Castle Shop (Tower)

Tokens are mailed to you daily based on your recorded score in the 6-floor Tower of Pride. This comes from how many of the 6 floors you cleared first, and how many floors you perfect cleared second.

  1. 4★ Ability S. Books as needed. This is the only place in the game to get them.
  2. Monthly Essences & Scrolls as needed.
  3. Refining Powders > Gold

A perfect clear (100k score per floor) requires you to clear each floor battle in one turn, do 1Mil+ damage with a single hit (nukers like SERafina/Loen/Yuri/Bustia), have all units at Full HP from start to end (heal before going into the tower!), and playing by the floor's rules (eg use 4 Fire units on F1). You can look up guides on Youtube once you have the necessary units/gear to perfect clear ToP1-6.

Guild Shop

You get deeds based on score thresholds your guild reaches during the monthly Guild Raid, and another batch of tokens based on your guild's rank after the season ends. Buying out the essentials costs 8000 tokens (11000 if you also want the essences)

  1. Tear → Elixers → Draw Tickets

If you are in a guild that prints a good amount of tokens:

  1. Essences
  2. Scrolls as needed
  3. Refining Powders / save for next month's items.
    Guild Shop

Pub Recruitment/Contracts

You can recruit a copy of several useful 3-5★ costumes for free via the Pub system.
The Newbie Pass gives you a lot of the required Recruitment Contracts, but outside of that they are a rare resource. Most people trade their 3★ and 4★ Contracts into 5★ ones (Shop>Items) since you'll automatically max out all 3★ and 4★ units while pulling on banners anyway.

Most of the important recruits like Diana and Liberta) are fixed: they will show up in the pub of their story pack after you cleared it on Normal, and will stay there until you recruit them. Chance % recruits however appear randomly and swap out every 2h. Each pub unit can only be recruited once; after you have recruited them they will be removed from the pool.

TIP: If there's a specific Chance % 5★ unit you want clear out the 3★ characters in the pub, it'll increase the chance of that 5★ appearing.

Q : Which Pub 5★ do I recruit first?

  1. Diana (Fixed/SP10 pub)
-Free daily gems or other important goodies (Rice) via her dispatch ability.
  2. Olstein (Fixed/SP4 pub)
-Gold generator for newgluttis via his dispatch ability. Can also cheese a lot of PvE content for you with his 3x3 AoE Silence.
  3. Dark Saintess Liberta (Fixed/SP15 Pub)
-BIS Physical buffer. Needs min. +3 to replace your free Arines, so this copy helps.
-Has Absorb for fast map clearing.
  4. Mamonir (Chance %)
-The latest meta chainer. 8chains over a large area with great damage across multiple turns, for only 3SP total.
  5. Liatris (Fixed/SP8 pub)
-Somewhat lower priority due to the welfare units you get, but still very good to get past that pesky 1st Floor in Tower of Pride and unlock the rest of the tower.
  6. Celia (Chance %)
-Map-wide absorb and a core chainer for endgame PvE content (raids).

Other worthwhile recruits include WDVenaka, Apostle Blade, Rou (SP4/Fixed), Refi, Granadair and Palette.
These are no immediate priority, you can get them when you have a second spare 5★ Contract.
Check the Pub List to see which units have a pub copy available - keep this in mind when pulling on their banners!

Try to keep 1 spare 5★ Contract on you after recruiting Diana!

This way you can recruit new Story 5★ units as they appear and get 10 Draw Tickets during her banner.

The Select Draw Banners

There are a number of permanent banners in the game that allow players to quickly build their roster or force (dupes of) desired units.
Remember that every spook will pay itself back some day through its rerun banner, where you can cash in 10 tickets for every owned copy.

[Newgluttis] Recommend Select Draw

This is a prefixed pool of 12 costumes. You get 12 tickets from the Newbie Pass; 5 more are available from the $4.29 MEGA package.
You can access this selection anytime so long as you have a ticket ("Use" from inventory). The MEGA package however is only available for 3 days after your first login, and will not rerun once it expires.

RecommendSelect
Most guides will tell you to +5 B-Helena/H-Lathel and +4 Diana. You get 1 free copy of Diana from Story Pack 10, so with the $4.29 package you can max out exactly all 3 units.

Personally I think there is more merit in +5ing B-Helena and +4ing Diana (you +5 her with the free story copy), and then putting the remaining tickets to other units. H-Lathel is still okay, but is a situational buffer more than anything these days. With the great welfare mages that you can now obtain (Event Missions) you're bound to get more value out of a +2 or +4 Track Suit Levia.

If you've already got those, another good idea is to get at least 1 copy of Zenith, G.Rafina, Glutton Refi and Loen. WDVenaka is in the pub, but you can always grab this copy to inch closer to her maxed buff value (+3). Seir/Ventana/Rubia are too niche and are not recommended.

[Limited] 1-Pick Select Draw

Simply put, this lets you to re-create a pickup banner for any past (non-limited unit) of choice. The selected unit gets the same (very slightly better) 1.5% rate as during her actual pickup banner. The target girl can be swapped out any time, but you can only swap 10 times total.
In all other aspects it is a regular pickup banner: you can get spooked by random units, but also have access to the 200 pulls (draw points) hard pity.

This banner is great for users who want to force +4~5 on high value costumes like Dark Saint Liberta/Bride Refi, or really want a specific Fated Guest/unit. This banner only runs during the game's (mini)anniversary events, which tend to give out lots of purple tickets to use on this or the 12pick draw.
1PickDraw

[Permanent] 12-Pick Select Draw

The game's standard banner. You slot in 12 costumes of choice, and every 5★ you obtain while pulling will be one of the selected costumes.
The one exception is the guaranteed 5★ on every 100th pull, which still has a 50% chance to be a random spook.

This is a great banner to slowly raise your roster over time, as it greatly reduces the chance of undesired spooks. Similar to the 1-pick draw it will use purple tickets before it consumes the more valuable red tickets or diamonds.

Note that the 12-Pick does not have a hard pity system: draw points can only exchange to powders. It's just RNG pulls with no fixed goal.
You can toss purple tickets at it as you obtain them (unless you're close to an anni month, in which it may be better to save for the 1-Pick), but only spend red tickets on this sporadically (if you feel lucky). The best way to obtain/elevate a unit will always be through its rerun banner.
Don't use the 12-Pick to try and force that last copy to +5 on a unit.

Tips:

  • Slot in buffers, supporters, at least 2 Carry DPS/Nukers, and aim for 1 copy (+0) on each Utility unit over time.
You can refer to this tier list to get an idea of who are good units to slot in. Focus on units in S or above.
  • Diana and B-Helena are free +5 costumes after the 2.0anni (Newbie Pass tickets) and are not listed. Of course, you can slot them in if you used your Newbie Pass Tickets on other units. Keep in mind that you get 1 Diana from SP10, and 1 Liberta from SP15.
  • Owning 1 copy of a costume will allow you to start elevating it with the monthly GT shop selector.
  • Some units like New Hire Nebris and Sylvia are heavy investment - they can only truly shine if you own their other costumes at certain dupe levels. If you are new I recommend looking to single-costume friendly alternatives for that element for now, like Starlight Guardian Tyr for Wind.
  • Keep in mind that you get 1 copy of certain costumes for free from the pub, so units like Dark Saintess Liberta, Glutton Refi and SERafina can be removed at +4 and finished with the pub copy.

[Limited] 12-Pick "Golden Hand" Select Draw

A paid version of the regular 12-pick select draw, this once-per-account banner guarantees 3 5★ costumes of the 12 you slot in for $17.
The 5★ costumes are randomly selected from the 12 you wishlisted, and you cannot reroll for a different outcome. It is available during the game's anniversaries.

[Limited] Special Infinite Draw

Special Draw
A paid version of the Infinite Reroll from the Tutorial, featuring every (non-limited) unit released before the current patch. It is available 1-2x per year.
There is no limit on the amount of rerolls you can do, and you can even quit midway to continue rolling another day.
You can get multiple 5★ in one 10-pull, so with enough patience you can roll for 3 good 5★ costumes for $17 - a true "Golden Hand".

Spending Tips (F2P/Casual)

Get the 3-days MEGA Package ($4.29) even if you don't plan to spend on this game ever. Five 5★ costumes, 100+ pulls, 2 UR III gear sets, and 6+ months worth of material farming for less than 5 bucks, it's a value you won't see in BD2 ever again. This package is only available for 3days after you start the game, and it won't rerun.

The next best options are the RENEW Special Dash Packages, the Monthly Dia Packs, and generally any time-limited packages or passes with terms like "MEGA", "ANNIVERSARY" or "DELUXE" in the name.
See the Value per pack Reference.

TIP: If you want to spend do it during the game's (mini) anniversaries (Mar/June/Dec) - these have by far the best deals of the year.

The Webshop

BD2 also has a Webshop.
The webshop has periodical freebies like a -20% coupon or free in-game goodies, but what really makes it good is that it allows you to easily change your region to Japan and its way cheaper Yen currency. This makes for example a prestige skin cost $45 max instead of $60.
The developers have repeatedly reminded people that the region change option exists, and even increased the amount of times you can do it to 3x.

The webshop is great for casual spenders or those who don't have a Google JP Payment Profile or high Playstore level to benefit from.
NOTE: When using the JP/Yen option you may need to use a VPN set to Japan to complete checkout depending on the chosen payment option. Even just a free one like Tunnelbear, Mudfish will do it - just activate the VPN, refresh the web store front page, and then finalize your purchase.

Webshop mileage expires after 30days, so it is good to start with your single biggest planned purchase first (use the -20% coupon here), and then use up mileage on cheaper stuff after.

Other FAQ

How F2P friendly is this game?

A casual F2P account generates 300+ free pulls per month (more during Annis). This excludes the daily free banner pulls.
Without spending a single ticket you are also guaranteed five 5★ costumes per month (2x Gold Colosseum, 1x Tower of Salvation, 1x PvP Shop, 1x monthly Character Pass), some UREX tickets, and 8 Tears of Goddess.

Is there any content that is unobtainable as a free player?

There are cosmetic-only paid skins that are obtainable through a gacha or can be bought directly, as well as 1 paid battle pass.
Everything else is freely obtainable.

Do I buy the regular Season Pass (Battle Pass) for 1000 Dias?

Yes, always. You can buy it with Free Dias, and it yields ~16 pulls profit on top of the other goodies.
TIP: Buy it once you reached LV17. That way you'll finish the pass in one go and skip the increased EXP requirements for Lv17-20.

What are Good Units?

Buffers dominate this game and enable your DPS.
Supporters, big AoE DPS units, and non-collab Limiteds are (usually) always safe investments.

When is the Daily Reset?

00:00 UTC. On patch days the servers go down for maintenance 10mins prior (23:50 UTC).
All Ranked Content closes earlier: FH/GR/Gold Colosseum at 15:00 UTC on Wednesday, and Mirror Wars at 15:00 UTC on Sunday.

What Elements do I use my Property Draw Tickets on?

Wind=Light>Dark>Fire/Water.

Can I buy an account?

Up to you. I don't think there is a point to it because game shits on free pulls and past collab units (not meta) get reruns.
Note that accounts that have illegally generated currency on them or used chargebacks do get caught in sweeps, so if you do buy one be smart.

[Search] What weekly maps do I sweep?

The town and battle areas of Main Story SP 7 (Fury), 8 (Rhapsody), 13 (Song) ,16 (Alliance) and 17 (Trials) for Iron Ores, SP 9 (Iron Mask) for Wood, Firechip for both, and lastly Main Story SP1 & 2 for bonus ores/woods.
TIP: You can 'pin' these maps in the pack select menu for easy access. Finds reset once per week; search charges reset daily.

How to get more Refining Powders?

burn your rice on HG7VH or HG9VH dispatches (LizardAltar/Mountain) and do your weekly search/absorb sweeps in the above maps.
Craft N Mercenary Weapons/Armors in sets of 2000, with upgrades set to +6, max attempts/gold, and "auto dismantle" toggled.
This gives you 18k powders for 406k gold+6k ores or wood with the least amount of ability pills used.

You can also +6 and dismantle UR I/II gears you get while crafting for URIVs, but this is expensive. It shouldn't be your main source for powders.

What can I do with UREX dupes?

If you are into PvP you can keep a copy of Morpeah's and Granhildr's UREX for separate rolls. In all other cases +6 and dismantle.

What Refinement Grade do I settle on?

Any R18 Refinement on URIV gear is a good budget stopping point. Anything more is for rank chasers.
When refining the priority is always Venomous Touch>Gloves>UREX Gear/Weapons. Armors/Helmets don't need to be R18 unless you PvP.

How to boost my Last Night score?

Obtain at least 1 copy of (ideally +5) Bride Refi, Onsen Liberta and Miko Granadair for massive damage gains.
The rest is slotting in other buffers>chainers>the best DPS you have at the end of your lineup.
If you are new, slotting in the Nebris you get from the Newbie Pass and PoV Lathel (free +2 from clearing SP7 on all 3 difficulties) last in the load order will do a lot for you.
Besides that work on your Support Bonus: Crafting full SRIII +6 sets for every owned unit that isn't participating in the attack lineup is a great and cheap way to get lots of damage for free. Keep in mind gear rolls don't matter for support bonus, so just give them whatever you've got.

Why is the game named "Brown Dust"?

Koreans love to use cool sounding English names and terms for their games.
The idea was that it refers to the dust that is kicked up by armies marching to battle, but it played out a bit different.

I asked a question and now people are trying to lick me. Is this normal?
