OPTIONAL - Of the following, which is your preference when it comes to being matched with teams; chatty, indifferent, or quiet? - Timezone so you can be matched to those close to yours?
VOTING
For those signing up or who have already signed up, email aicgguildmaster@proton.me with your 10 favorite themes in a ranked list from 1 to 10!
Points will be assigned based on ranking. 1st place receives 10 points, 2nd receives 9 points, 3rd place receives 8 points, etc. Theme winners will be determined by total point count after the deadline!
I don't understand?
I'm not in the event but I want to vote.
Have a non-binding, only for whimsy strawpoll
Will the results be shared before the deadline? How will I know what theme I might be assigned?
I'll keep a tally of the results of the votes and post the likely winning themes here, updated roughly ever 24 hours, alongside the total number of sign ups.
As of now at 24 sign ups, with 20 having sent in their votes, we would have the following five themes:
- Bloodborne-esque. Or forbidden knowledge and outer worldy horror
- Mecha
- Final Journeys
- An entire team made up members who are all different flavors of chuunibyou
- Space Idols and Musicians (Ex: Macross, Interstella 5555, Alien Stage, Etc.)
- Psychological Horror
- An Empire in Decline
Current phase

Begins when it's 9/20 anywhere in the world
Ranked Voting is now open! Theme ideas will be collected over the next two days, after which a full list will be compiled and posted here. Voting is open to anyone who joins the event! Three weeks will be given for our teams to assemble, with each entrant making a bot in line with their team's theme. Starting on the 20th of September, the Guild will open and /aicg/'s Spacer's Guild will make their debut!
FAQ?
What is Guild?
Botmakers from the thread sign up (by emailing the host), get shuffled into random teams, and each team gets a theme. Everyone then has ~3 weeks to work together and each make a character card fitting their team's theme, all released together on Sept 20th. Guild 2 just means it's the second time it's being run. The "Spacer's Guild" stuff is pure flavor — per the host's own FAQ, they wanted to do sci-fi Ceres this time, but your card can be fantasy, modern, whatever.
How themes work
Right now anyone can reply to the anchor with theme ideas (that's the "space pirates, chuunis, time travelers" posts — there's 45 ideas so far, full list in the FAQ linked at the bottom of the rentry). Then people who joined vote, and the winning themes get randomly assigned to teams. Each team member also gets a party role (tank/DPS/healer/wildcard) as an optional extra prompt. Themes that DON'T win open up for public submissions, so anyone can make a card for those without ever signing up.
How voting works
Each entrant will send in their 10 favorite themes in a ranked list, with the 1st choice being their most desired theme of choice and their 10th being their least desired theme of choice. Points will be attributed according to rank, with the 1st choice of theme being awarded 10 points, the 2nd choice being awarded 9 points, 3rd choice being awarded 8 points, etc. The highest scoring themes will be assigned until we run out of teams to assign them to!
Can I change my votes?
Yes! It's all malleable until the deadline, and your votes won't be locked in until entries and voting close.
Who is Ceres?
Not a person — a character card. She's the event mascot/secretary, made by the host. That cardview link literally is her card. The host likes making images of her, hence the bikini talk.
Do I need to care?
Only if you want to make bots. As someone just chatting with them, all this means for you is that in about a month a batch of new themed cards gets dumped for free. Sit back and enjoy the harvest.
Please direct all other questions to the Fleet's aide-de-camp, Ceres. Or Grâvis, station adjutant operating on behalf of MerCore, ensuring compliance with the galaxy's Mercenary Grants Charter.
