Background

Unlike his sister Kosshi, Motomu is naturally curious, welcoming the chance to attend the Moon Academy. This might not be his home yet, but it might be in the future. He's trying to stay optimistic, although the recent events make it more difficult.

His appearance might sometimes make it difficult to approach him. In the presence of his sister, he also tries to mimic her sense of manners, which makes him appear similarly cold and unsociable at first glance. However, that's just a façade, and once you get through it, he's surprisingly friendly and excitable, eager to talk and play.

He's more forthcoming about their past than his sister; however, there are things he was sworn to keep secret. Despite being an offspring of the Kaguya and Hyuga, unlike his sister and his appearance, their bloodline limits never activated in him. As such, the clan always viewed him as a failure, and let him remain in his sister's shadow. When his own bloodline limit arose, and three Truth-Seeking Orbs appeared around him, his parents kept it secret, hiding him away until they found a suitable tool to seal them.

Jade Orb Seals are formed of malleable green light infused with divine energy, and as such, they are one of the few materials able to come into contact with them without being annihilated. They completely encase his Orbs, reshaping to match whatever shape they take, and slowly self repairing if somehow damaged. They can be unlocked by flowing a chakra through them in a special way by a Byakugan user, which only Motomu's mother and sister know. Divine and Cursed Arts users could also alter and damage them in a way that could release the Orbs. Motomu himself, is unable to unseal them.

Since the sealing, Motomu was able to safely practice with the Orbs, although their effect is now much more limited. On attack, they serve as just blunt instruments, and as a defensive instrument, they work as a shield, but can be more easily pushed back. Still, they're a useful tool, and the main element of Motomu's skill set. He supplements it with quick elemental attacks, especially at longer range. His natural alignment to all elements lets him exploit various elements' interactions, and Ying & Yang release granted him a natural talent at nullifying ninjutsu.

Not long before entering the Academy, he was attacked by a mysterious masked woman, who somehow learned the truth of his Bloodline Limit. Only the intervention from his mother and sister saved him, and still, the masked woman managed to steal one of his three Orbs, and vowed to return for the rest.
