A Special Addition to Let the Date Begin
You stand on the sidelines trying to keep yourself from leaving the ballroom in disgust.
None of this fits what you expected for the weekend. You came intending to bring positive changes into your life, but you stand near a wall in the ballroom rubbing your shoulder where someone roughly shoved you out of the way. Some woman even less fortunate than yourself has already fallen to the floor, probably also pushed by overly eager imps.
You wonder why you haven't left already. You wonder how you even made it this far. You look around the ballroom sadly before you remember.
You lay eyes on him and you remember. One man caught your attention the very first night and never let it go. You endured every maddening moment because you hoped that you might get paired with him. True enough, that possibility hasn't disappeared, but...
You begin to take steps forward. You wore your cute flats and a very comfortable, sensible skirt, long and flowing. You feels the light material rub your legs and you keep moving.
The floor has cleared for the most part. Other than waiters and other weekend workers, most of the participants already sit at their tables. You have a clear view of the fact that your first choice has seated himself at a table where he sits alone, meanwhile you see a man sitting at the table where you, most likely, should sit.
