Envy and Fumus have been deep in love since August 2021, although their relationship is widely considered unhealthy and imbalanced, it is portrayed as mutually affectionate. Envy serves as the God's entity of divine ecstasy and presents an intense devotion, emotional dependence, and unwavering loyalty towards Fumus. It is known his whole reason of existence is to satisfy the God's sexual needs as a way to alleviate his emotions; even so, the angel is genuinely in love with him. Though he is not exactly related to the subordinates, he likes to refer to them as brothers, as they were created around the same time: only Envy being slightly younger.
Envy does not bother to hide his extreme religious fanaticism, he shows an inability to recognize or question Fumus' wrongdoings, firmly believing that Fumus genuinely loves him back; he borders on obsession, this influences his judgment and sense of self-worth. He shows strong jealousy when witnessing his brothers being abused the same way he does, even if he knows they do not enjoy it. He wishes to be Fumus' only victim: because of his blind jealousy, he's unaware that he might be the favourite one.
