hi everyone! starting this off really slow... but... nonetheless. i'm noriaki, but some of you know me as --

@rorononi > @roron > @iosys > @noriya > @femtanyl > @femoid
(and then finally when i moved) @bleach

first of all. thank you all so much! when i first got retrospring, i was really deep into the rentrypin community -- it gave me a sense of belonging i haven't felt in so long. for a duration of the time / somewhere after i got into rentry, i was a hikikomori. i couldn't go to physical school because i felt left out or different the whole time and i genuinely could not make friends due to the fact that i had just moved to japan from the bahamas and a lot of people don't take too kindly to foreigners (even though i'm a kwota.)

i first got into retrospring for fanfic requests -- i don't remember why, but then i saw that people could do all kind of neat stuff! themes, ask games, making friends !! i believe my first mutual was nemesis (defeatist), someone who probably won't be back in time to see just how much of an impact they managed to make on me, or also even what's going to come of the site as of its deletion.

sleet was one of my very next mutuals ! they were mutuals with nemesis at the time, and i always liked seeing their posts. it didn't take much to become mutuals with people on retrospring, which was something i really loved because it was wildly unlike twitter where i'd have to gradually follow and interact with people (who i would be unable to find anyways) and you didn't need to constantly post or belong to a subtwt to make friends! i loved that so much -- retrospring helped me feel less alone and gave me something to look forward to when i got home from school (when i began going again) as well as something i could show to my friends once i started getting to know them. i met a lot of really cool friends that i still hold dear to my heart through retrospring as well, and i'm very grateful for it! thank you all again ^_^

back / me
