how to use a clipping mask (using ibispaint)

- put the mask under the image you want to clip
- go on the image and press the "clipping" button
- adjust as needed
- then save as transparent png
︎
how to mask a gif (using bloggif)
- you have to select a gif and a shape
- SELECT TRANSPARENT as the "glitter"
- then you go on create my gif frame and download without watermark
NOTE: it will trim your gif shorter so dont pick "long" gifs, idk if theres a way to fix that tbh

how to mask a gif (and make the mask move) (using alight motion) - turn your gif into a video by using ezgif or whatever converter (you can use a separate free video editor like capcut to extend the gif/video before importing it)
- create your project in alight motion and make the background transparent
- put your clipping mask below the video layer
- tap the video layer and press the 3 dots on the corner and press "create clipping mask" (or follow this tutorial)
- apply the rotation motion to the mask (you can watch this tutorial)
- then export it into an image sequence
- save the .zip file
*i prefer to save it into my google drive to then download the zip file onto my laptop and do the rest of the steps there - extract your images from the zip file into a separate folder
- go to ezgif and press make a gif
- select all your images in the folder to upload
- wait until all images are uploaded to adjust the time between each image (preferably 1/100 of a second)
- then create gif!
- you can now go and optimize it to make the file smaller, speed up if the gif is too slow, and/or resize if it's too big
- and then save your gif!
*psst you can pirate the premium vers here if you use an android device and hate the watermark. clear warning that this is a little risky since yk, pirating is illegal*
*you can apply this tutorial for a bunch of other things like moving text with easing, using an image instead of a gif, etc
