📚 How to install .ipa files
This page shows you how to install .ipa files.
Note:
- .ipa files are files used to install apps for iOS, so you won't be able to install these files on Android.
Please read:
- For every method youll have to repeat it every 7 days, if you don't your app/s will stop working, unless you have an Apple Developer subscription, if you do have one, your apps will last a year.
- Unless you have an Apple Developer subscription, you can only install 3 sideloaded apps / games at a time. If you want to install more apps at a time and you don't have a Apple Dev subscription, you can use WBRemoveThreeAppLimit or Trollstore. Go here to learn how to use it.

1. How to install .ipa files: Using Sideloadly
Note
If you want to install a .IPA file using Sideloadly you will need a computer and an official Apple USB to plug into your computer.
- Download & install Sideloadly on your Windows PC or Mac. Also make sure to install iTunes and iCloud from Apples website, not the Microsoft Store!
- Once Sideloadly is installed, connect your iOS Device to your machine.
- Drag the IPA file into sideloadly.
- Enter your Apple ID email and press “Start”.
- Then you will be asked to enter your Apple ID password. Go ahead and type your password.
- Wait for Sideloadly to finish installing the IPA. Once complete, you will now need to go to Settings > General > Profiles & Device Management to Trust the email address you entered in Sideloadly.
After that, you should be able to go to your Home Screen and open the newly installed app.
2. How to Install .ipa files: Using InstallOnAir
This method only works with signed apps.
If you don’t want to download anything, you can use this free online web service InstallOnAir.
You just need to upload your IPA file to the Installonair website and generate a sharable download link which you and others can download the IPA from.
3. How to install .ipa files: Using AltStore
Altstore is a very convinient option for the installation of ipa files. Once set-up you won't need to connect your Apple device to your PC again, it contains different repos containing apps for you to install, it allows you to install ipa files from your device, supports JIT and so much more!
Because Altstore has already made an installation guidee, that is easy to follow, it is unnecessary for MediaSavvy to make one.
