Witch & Lillies
Synopsis:
The bonds between girls will be the key to adventure!
Witch and Lilies is a unique RPG that combines immersive dungeon crawler elements with a romantic relationship sim! Form a party of five from a selection of ten unique job classes, and conquer the labyrinth left behind by the witch of world creation, all while nurturing the relationships between the girls.
Recommendation:
Witch & Lillies is a very ambitious indie DRPG with a heavy yuri theme. Girls power up by falling in love with each other, party members can go on dates and also get into jealous love triangles and all that while exploring a cursed dungeon with horrific monstrous enemies turned by the witch.
As of August 2025 this game is still in Early Access. It is entirely completable, with all its story finished, but the devs want to make adjustments, add more classes and improve that game overall. It could be said that Witch & Lillies still lacks polish, but it certainly has a lot of meat on its bones as is. The dungeon exploration is just as cruel and challenging as the Wizardry titles of old, but with a few moderen QoL additions to make it more digestable.
The story is sparse, yet interesting enough. You form your adventure party with the power of a fairy you saved and create a group of lesbians to conquer the pillar dungeon in the center of the city. It is a seebed for evil witches, adventurer girls turned monstrous and countless traps. You have a rival party leader who wants to obtain glory before you can and over time many secrets of the dungeon will be revealed.
Why would an adventurer brave these unknown horros though? Because it is said that if one conquers the dungeon, they will be granted a wish.
Yuri content:
As every party mechanic revolves around girls loving girls, it is an all around yuri experience. However, the nature of the game is that your party members have generated personality types that interact with each other. These are not handcrafted romances, they are more parameters that determine how the girls will act with each other. Most of the variety comes from the many classes and designs interacting with different personalities. The dates are rather limited and automated, making it hard to influence who dates who beyond using them in the same party.
Still the power of yuri helps you succeed your quest and that is always good.

Fire Emblem: Engage
Synopsis:
In a war against the Fell Dragon, four kingdoms worked together with heroes from other worlds to seal away this great evil. One-thousand years later, this seal has weakened and the Fell Dragon is about to reawaken. As a Divine Dragon, use rich strategies and robust customization to meet your destiny—to collect 12 Emblem Rings and bring peace back to the Continent of Elyos.
Recommendation:
Fire Emblem Engage rode the high of Fire Emblem Three Houses and came out soon after. While it is universally agreed upon that it had major improvements on the combat system and level design, it is also known as the Fire Emblem with one of the worst stories.
In essence it's an ensemble game featuring many of the protagonists of previous FE titles. These 12 Ring Bearers (emblem ring holders) are essential to the plot, but their portrayal differs a lot from their own games. For the protagonists with a selectable gender the devs just picked one, which means there is a female Corrin, but a male Byleth. This is also the first time Byleth gets to have a personality, so it's extra unfortunate that they made him a guy.
As mentioned, the combat is vastly more interesting than in prior games of the Fire Emblem renaissance, which makes it at least worth playing even if the story is groanworthy. The characters interactions and Supports, as well as the romance are equally wieghed down by the writing, but at least same sex romance is ubiquitous, a good lesson they learned from FE:3H.
Yuri content:
Alear ("lovingly" dubbed Toothpaste by the community for her hair) is the new main protagonist, who has the ability to romance the new party members after unlocking the Pact Ring. She can romance other women, although with the context of the plot this is a bit more complicated than usual, so there is no marriage per se. There is also no romance between the characters outside of that. Alear is the only character capable of romancing someone due to her Pact Ring. So it's a one & done situation. Pick wisely.
The English version of the game censored a lot, like making one of the romances platonic, because the girl looks like a child or making a bunch of other romantic S supports more ambiguous. If you can read Japanese, maybe get the JP version for the full experience (No, the story isn't just bad because of the translation, it actually sucks in JP too, but at least it's not censoring random things). Alternatively you can also get the English Uncensor Patch here (again, this is just fixing the translation to be accurate to the JP version).

Keylocker
Synopsis:
In a silent world where music is outlawed, play as a singer to shatter the strings of fate and sing the melody of freedom in this unforgiving Turn Based Rhythm JRPG.
Keylocker is a Cyberpunk turn based rhythm JRPG inspired by the Mario&Luigi RPG series and Chrono Trigger, in which you play as the singer and songwriter, B0B0. Fuel your moves with the electric power of music in this unforgiving planet by using real-time execution of moves in rhythm game style! Battle the authorities, unlock the secrets of Saturn, play on your own bands' concerts and hack into the network to bring an end to this corrupt system, for better or worse.
Recommendation:
The game excells at presentation and atmosphere, with somewhat quirky writing that revels in Cyberpunk themes and crass humor. Gameplay is refreshing and very customisable, just like music should be. There is so much lore, dialogue and text that it feels like half a Visual Novel sometimes, but when you discover secrets in a natural way just by being curious it's the best.
There's a significant amount of optional party members/companions to find and join the band, of which a lot are actually romancable now, depending on your choices and path of course. The initial line-up of lovers was a bit sparse, but since then there has been a major free update that added a bunch more.
Yuri content:
A big chunk of love interests for B0B0 are female and while romance isn't always easy to achieve, if you commit to it then it can be quite amazing. The denizens of Saturn are all unique and odd, but you still have a lot of the usual tropes among the lovers, like the punk girl or the upper class lady. Just try to avoid getting too close to male characters, lest you accidentally end up with them.

Gales of Nayeli
Synopsis:
Follow Nayeli as she travels across Iuven on her way to face the tyrant, Bloodlust. Along the way, she will meet victims of Bloodlust’s reign lead the last charge against a darkness that echoes across time and space.
Recommendation:
Gales of Nayeli is a Grid-Based Strategy RPG featuring 40+ playable characters. It's an SRPG in the vein of Fire Emblem and might even have started out as a romhack for the series, but became its own thing. It's gameplay is not revolutionary, but it shows the refined experience of a well established genre and it takes some ideas from the more creative romhacks and gives you good customisation of units. The pixel art animations are quite good too.
On the writing side it is slightly better than the average SRPG fare and the character interactions and supports are quite fun, sometimes even moving. The romances are particularly cute, even if the game lacks a lot of supports that are supposed to get patched in over time.
Yuri content:
There are several possible yuri pairings to the point where you can make most of your active units lesbian pairings. Nayeli herself has many romance options, two of them other women. You choose her love interest relatively early in the game (around halfway through) and then it is integrated into the story, similar to a route in a Visual Novel. However, the plot is more focused on other things, so the romance gets sidelined a lot.
As is standard for FE-likes, there are ending slides in the epilogue that summarize what happened to the pairings after the story, which gives some insight on the yuri marriages.

After I Met That Catgirl, My Questlist Got Too Long!
Synopsis:
While on a patrol mission, Vera sees a thunderbolt hit the Elder Tree in the forest. Curious about the mysterious phenomenon - the sky is clear, after all - she approaches the location.
...wait, what is a catgirl doing there? And why does she claim to come from another world called 'London'? Everybody knows the world is called Morpheya.
Recommendation:
CatQuestlist is one of the more unique RPGmaker games, with its own unique mechanics, artstyle and world map. It features a lot of cool ideas you rarely see and has 5 distinct routes that actually change the story path a lot. It is most definitely an underrated gem.
While the gameplay is adaptable to the player's skill level, making it an easy entry for newcomers (also helped by its great New Game+ feature that immediately sets you on another love interest's route and skips the tutorial quests), it also has some heavy story themes that may not be easy to stomach for everyone. Overall the game is full of humor and genuine emotions though, which is what really matters. The story has some great twists and nothing may be exactly as it seems in Morpheya.
If you want a suggestion in which order to play the routes, it would be Tea > Sunny/Reniel > Celia > Lyra.
Yuri content:
Both the romances and sexual content are entirely yuri focused. While not all of the girls are lesbians, the game does only focus on that aspect of their sexuality. There are also both lesbian and het quest characters in the side-content, so it's a mixed world in that regard.
WARNINGS:
-If you want to stick to the purest yuri experience, do not play Lyra's route (or get the "bad" ending). It is not necessary to understand or enjoy the game.
-Though again, ALL sexual content in the game is yuri only, there is one OPTIONAL sex scene with Sunny where she can suggest to use a potion to become a futanari. Just say no and they will just cuddle and not do it, because the game actually cares about the player's preferences.

UsoNatsu
Synopsis:
“Love can so easily turn people into liars.”
On a hill overlooking the sea is Minatocho’s Aoba Dai-ichi High School. One night, 2nd year student, Tachibana Kaoru is completely heartbroken by her middle school homeroom teacher, Shimotsuki Mirei. That scene is also seen by Minagi Shiori, a model student who is also in Kaoru’s class. In state of despondence, Kaoru opens up to Shiori about her past with Mirei.
After listening intently to Kaoru’s story, Shiori, with a mysterious air about her, poses a question.
“Instead of forgetting someone you cared about… do you think it’s possible to simply overwrite those memories with different ones?”
“I’m not sure if it’s truly possible or not, but I might have to try something like that if I’m going to get over her.”
Recommendation:
UsoNatsu - The Summer Romance that Bloomed from a Lie is one of the most high quality yuri visual novel of the 2020s. Art, animated CGs, music and writing are all top notch. It's decent length and focused cast make it rather memorable.
At the center of the story is a complicated square of relationships that sometimes strays into love trianlge territory, but ultimately it is about Kaoru and Shiori's blooming romance that develops from their initial attempt to forget about those who mattered most to them and left them behind in one way or another. For one its the expression of her lesbian feelings, for the other it is seeking the comfort of an equal. Adding to the emotion of the story is the superb voice acting of the entire cast.
The game initially had some performance issues on some systems due to its engine, but patches have mostly fixed that. Some people's computers might still experience stutter for the animated CGs though.
Since the initial release a canon voice drama has been made available for DLC, with complete subtitles. It is worth getting after completing the game if you want more UsoNatsu!
Yuri content:
All the girls/women in this story are attracted to women and seek relationships, although the tangle of feelings makes a lot of their situations complicated. Without spoiling too much, several romances can bloom in this story.

Starlight Vega
Synopsis:
After moving into her grandfather’s old house, Aria and her best friend Melody accidentally unleash the flirtatious demon, Lyria, who spent the past fifty years in a stone. They are faced with the truth that magic is real and that there is a parallel world full of demons that has been separated from the human realm centuries ago.
Unfortunately Lyria was bound to Aria via a soul stone the moment she was freed, which causes her to feel intense pain if she makes too much physical distance from her. So she has no choice but to stick with the human girls and together they have to find a way to separate their soul bond and send Lyria back home to her own world where Queen Scherza awaits with even greater troubles.
Recommendation:
Starlight Vega might be razzarts' best work by far. The writing is the most fleshed out and interesting out of all their works and it has the same signature writing hook that makes you want to see more of the game's particular world.
The choice tree is actually quite complex and getting the harem ending is only possible after beating all three routes (and even then it is hard to get). The game has plenty of choice based bad endings and some surprising flexibility in entering certain routes.
The game has a mediocre amount of CGs. The artstyle’s quality is subjective, but it also has a definitive ‘indie’ feel to it. The sprites are basic, but serviceable. There is no voice acting (whether that is a pro or a con is personal preference).
Yuri content:
The VN tackles same-sex relationships like they are normal for demons, so there is no conflict on that side (Aria being human is more of a challenge to be honest). With Melody there is more of a history as they are childhood friends and their love is more conventionally based on human society.
All three heroines are unique and have their own routes, so there is a lot to explore with them. The story justifies its harem ending pretty quickly by having some triangle dynamics in other routes too that make clear Aria is a bit indecisive and capable of loving several girls at once. That is not to say she isn’t loyal and exclusive once she actually enters a route. You can play the game entirely with a laser focus on each heroine.

Lonely Yuri
Synopsis:
First with a kiss... the girl is etched in the protagonist's mind. It was the first year in high school. The budding of summer. Fusa Konno met a shut-in girl named Seri. Persecuted by her yearning eyes, her heart gradually opened.
Recommendation:
Lonely Yuri was originally released in 2011 by Yoru no Hitsuji and is considered an indie classic. In many ways it conforms to the indie tropes of the time, with sparse art, photographs used as background images and text on the screen rather than dialogue boxes. The vibe is thus very similar to old VNs like Seabed. Unlike Seabed however, Lonely Yuri is a story about healing and changing perspective. Its narrative is entirely confined to the two protagonists, Fusa and Seri, never straying from their small bubble and relationship.
The writing is what draws the player in, but beyond that it has not much else. Do not expect voice acting or intricate BGMs or complex choices with consequences. Just the pure yuri between two lonely girls.
Yuri content:
It's the entire focus of the story of course, but in more detail the honor student Fusa who feels trapped in her current circumstances in life and the hikkikomori who is somehow also an extrovert, Seri, seem completely at ods personality wise. Yet both of them habor their own particular loneliness that they need to overcome by changing the way they lead their lives. Fusa meets Seri by coincidence, but once they connect there is no force that can pull them apart again. It is a very sweet, if slightly melancholic love story.

Highway Blossoms
Synopsis:
Highway Blossoms is a short yuri story set in the American Southwest. After an old gold rush miner's journal is discovered, a nationwide craze begins as would-be prospectors try to solve the cryptic clues it contains and discover the miner's hidden treasure. Amber, couldn't care less. Wandering the Midwest in an inherited motorhome, she mourns the loss of her grandfather, totally unaware of the hunt taking place around her. It's not until she meets Marina, a young hitchhiker wandering through the deserts of New Mexico, that things start to look up.
Recommendation:
The first major Studio Elan supported work, Highway Blossoms was a milestone in non-Japanese yuri visual novels. With a good reception and unique ideas it stood out right away back when it released. These days it may seem rather simplistic, but it carries that old indie charm. Since then there has even been a Reamaster and a major story DLC.
HB has its controversial points and caused a lot of discussion in the yuri community too, but the actual divisive parts are very minor and the outcry seems almost laughable in retrospect. It's a short and heartfelt story that deals both with the heavy and comedic tones equally well and with a pretty unique setting and theme at that. Not many yuri stories will take place in New Mexico and deal with a modern day treasure hunts, especially before the time of influencers on the internet making such things daily occurances.
Like a lot of VNs at the time, HB has sexual content, although very little of it. Whether one plays the 18+ release or the all ages version makes nearly no difference on the plot. The Next Exit DLC is a direct continuation of the main plot and adds a bit more context and closure for our main couple and the comic relief trio.
Yuri content:
Amber and Marina's romance is a slowburn, but relatively by the books. Their unique circumstances and goals in the story don't change that it feels like a roadtrip comedy movie with a romantic focus. Amber being experienced with her sexuality, while Marina has never dated women before leads to some interesting chemistry as well.

Synergia
Synopsis:
Cila, a veteran cop with a sour outlook and anger issues expects nothing more from life besides the smell of ozone, blinding neon lights and the ever-present manhole steam. At least, until a shady friend replaces her broken-down housedroid as a favor. Advanced, more efficient and remarkably perceptive, unit M.A.R.A. begins to penetrate Cila's toughened exterior and possibly even heal her new owner's old wounds – if Cila can decipher the recurring nightmare the process brings. Soon Cila and Mara forge a unique if sometimes uneasy bond.
Unbeknownst to Cila, just as her life begins to find its new normal, the technological giant Velta Labs gets wind of Mara's existence and takes a mysterious interest in the android. A war unlike any before it is brewing on the horizon, its players are silently being selected and one android's fate may spell the difference between peace, war, the blossoming of a new religion, or a technological singularity beyond comprehension.
Recommendation:
RadiArt's Synergia is an ambitious cyberpunk story in a original setting that goes deep into the associated topics of transhumanism, post-apocalyptic world and politics and of course: Yuri between humans and robot girls. It is short but incredibly impactful. It's impossible to discuss the plot more without getting into spoilers, but let's say there are many twists and the two endings are leaving room for more. The free Sunrise patch/DLC that came out years later added some much needed closure.
The game has an extremely uniqe Cyberpunk/anime style and plenty of CGs to go around. The character designs are very unique and the presentation style takes some time getting used to. The character sprites are standard, but the portraits sometimes are a considerably odd representation. Thankfully there are options to change colors of text boxes and make a lot of visual and sound adjustments to make the game less straining on the eyes.
Yuri content:
The story revolves around the developing relationship between Cila and Mara, but nothing is quite as it seems. The game is more concerned with its world-building and plot than the romance most of the time, but their relationship is still very cute. Unlike in most Yuri VNs, Cila and Mara face more complications than just being same-sex lovers. There is a lot of focus on how relationships between humans and androids can truly work out and Cila is considered more of a deviant for being able to fall in love with a machine than being into women (but yes, Cila is a lesbian).

Wanting Wings, Faraway Feathers
Synopsis:
At Seiyou Girls' academy, there are rumors of an angel. Roommates Hina, Rin, and Fumi all have completely different personalities, but they all experienced 1 strange event: They all once saw an angel in their youth. They gradually begin to suspect that one of their roommates might be that angel.
Recommendation:
Wanting Wings (and Faraway Feathers) is a bundle of two incredibly sweet yuri VNs. BaseSon't first forray into yuri finally got an English release in 2020 on MangaGamer and a rerelease in 2023 on Steam. The sequel being directly included into the game is a great choice as combined together they have a decent length.
The story is a heartwarming tale at its core, with lots of romcom shenanigans swirling around it. Its most outstanding feature is the several pairings you follow between the 3-4 main characters across the games. They are ordered in routes, but all must be completed to finish the story. The voice acting is pretty good and enhances every scene too.
The sexual content is abundant in this one, all exclusively lesbian of course. Steam features the all-ages version, but there is a free 18+ patch.
Yuri content:
The romance and sex are all very explicit and genuine. Every pairing is fundamentally possible and explored, so if you don't like changing the relationships up every route and seeing different combinatiions or if you dislike the idea of polyamory, this game may not be for you. Otherwise this is saccharine yuri at its best with tasteful sexual content sprinkled across.

Letters From a Rainy Day - Oceans and Lace -
Synopsis:
'Letters From a Rainy Day -Oceans and Lace-' is a yuri adventure game based on the theme of love between girls at a girls' school in Kamakura, Japan.
One blackmail letter leads two strangers to start dating, and their relationship slowly changes.
Recommendation:
Letters From a Rainy Day is the first installment in a supposed series of yuri VNs, although to this day it is still the only title released. It is completely standalone of course, so it is enjoable on its own. With gorgeous art and powerful voice acting, this VN really captures the turbulent emotions of two girls' dramatic romance.
The central plot point is about the blackmail letter that forces Mikoto to confess to Shiori and ask her out. Shiori is completely unaware of why this is happening and believes the confession to be genuine and despite her confusion ends up accepting. Mikoto suspecting Shiori to be her blackmailer is cold and angry, but what is this odd discrepancy between the cute, innocent girl and these underhanded methods?
There are several side-characters that enrich the cast, but a lot of them are here to set up the supposed sequels.
Yuri content:
It's a sweet and sour romance that Mikoto and Shiori experience. One-sided feelings at first, blocked by a mystery and a threat. Although Shiori did not originally expect to date Mikoto, she always had an interest in her from a distance. So her innocent affection meets Mikoto's chagrinned resignation at every turn. But true feelings cannot be stopped from blooming eventually, even with such a unfavorable beginning.

A Summer's End: Hong Kong 1986
Synopsis:
A Summer’s End - Hong Kong 1986 is a visual novel game. Follow the story of Michelle and Sam, and how their chance meeting evolves into a deeper relationship. Set in vibrant Hong Kong in the year 1986, it is an original story about love, family, and culture.
A Summer's End - Hong Kong 1986 is about seeking identity and meaning in a rapidly changing world where conflicting worldviews and cultures collide. Inspired by Hong Kong cinema, 80s anime, city pop, and contemporary Asian literature, A Summer’s End - Hong Kong 1986 is an homage to the past and a visual delight for fans of retro art and fashion.
Recommendation:
Among the most highly rated yuri Visual Novels ever released, Summer's End is one of the most hard hitting works for its historical accuracy and meaningful assessment of the lesbian experience in a hostile cultural environment, while also just being a good love story. It oozes style, has great visuals, an unprecedented amount of CGs and art for its comparatively short length and has a really captivating moody soundtrack.
There is an all ages version that can be upgraded with a free Adult Patch that adds sexual content.
Even though the stoey is around 8 hours long, it is an experience any yuri fan should not miss.
Yuri content:
Michelle's and Sam's gravitational pull towards each other that drags them through all kinds of emotions is a sight to behold. Their relationship is grounded, yet fantastic. Swimming in the neon lights of 80s Hong Kong, love can find all new beautiful hues. The struggle with family, identity and acceptance that surrounds them does not break this incredible romance.

Chasing Tails ~A Promise in the Snow~
Synopsis:
Trying to get away from trouble, June moves to a small town... to find even more trouble! Oh my, why do these embarrassing situations just keep on happening?!
It appears June's new house is haunted! And if that wasn't bad enough, seems like she's being pursued by a female stalker! The strange girl is sure looking good, but what about her intentions? And what's up with those strange dreams June started seeing since she moved in? And, most importantly, are there fox-girls involved?!
Recommendation:
Chasing Tails is a short and exciting horror-comedy romp focused around the poster child of girlfailures, June. The game features good art, 4 different endings, some surprisingly scary scenes and a lot of sexual content (if you get the 18+ patch). The story doesn't take itself too seriously most of the time and is rather horny, but it still has some depth especially in the relationship between the characters the lore of the forest. You can actually feel the unfathomable cold of winter seeping out of the screen.
The voice acting in the game is decent, but sparse (strangely focused on the sex scenes, I wonder why...).
Yuri content:
June has two love interests, Rin and Kumi. While Rin is the typical tsundere, she is also horny as hell. Kumi is the innocent fox girl who is promised in the snow. Either way, this is a yuri romcom, so the romance is quite in your face and the sexual content comes easy.

Ne no kami - The Princess Knights of Kyoto Part 1 & 2
Synopsis:
Ne no kami Part 1:
A strange earthquake in Kyoto’s northern district; televised broadcasts of “paganist” cultists behaving abnormally; and spotting of “oni”-like beings spreading across all of Japan. Over time, people’s interest shifted back to the day-by-day goings on in the news, and their idle chatter. Those events were no longer worth discussing. Up until now, Ren has been living her life as a normal high school student. She suddenly reunites with Shinonome, her childhood friend from years ago, and is told– “Ren. As of today, I’m going to have you abandon this town… and your life.” Since reuniting with Shinonome, Ren is thrust onto the stage of “reality,” and the veil hiding the “truth” of this world is lifted. And — the girls’ lives are played with by the fate thrust upon them.
Ne no Kami Part 2:
Kyoto is shrouded in silence.
While the Ayakashi change course and prepare themselves for invasion, a sudden turn of events has Len drawing her sword against Shinonome. Despite her pleas, Len pays no heed to the words of her childhood friend.
"...As soon as I kill you, I'll make sure Ruka joins you."
Behind the scenes, conspiracy and truth swirl together but what will become of the princess knights and their beloved princesses? Find out in the concluding chapter of Ne no Kami - The Two Princess Knights of Kyoto Part 2!
Recommendation:
Ne no Kami is a series focused on supernatural combat, conspiracies, onmiyouji, oni and of course lesbians. It's a high quality story with great CGs, good music and memorable characters... and also voiced sex scenes. While the all ages version certainly holds up on its own, it can't be denied that this is an eroge which wants the reader to see the sexual content too.
The story is split into two major parts and a bonus chapter that delivers some form of closure, but it should be mentioned that Part 2 does not in fact resolve the whole plot. A sequel was clearly intended but never released. Instead the studio has focused on other ventures, like the equally high quality Watamari - A match made in heaven) that takes place in the same universe as Ne no Kami. In fact there is an entire connected universe for this series. Sacrament of the Zodiac coming first and even before that we got the earliest entries that were also called Ne No Kami which can be considered a prequel, focused on kitsune shrine maidens.
Yuri content:
There are two major pairings in both games, which even have some crossover in terms of sexual content, but romantically speaking there is a clear divsion. Len and Uzume are childhood friends and the backbone of the yuri in the story. A sweet and strong romantic pair. Shinonome and Ruka are the flipside, a complicated couple with some issues. Regardless, the romance and drama that unfolds for these couples is captivating.

You’re entering your junior year of college. Your first two years went by quickly— You were an average college student, living an average college life. However, after almost getting hit by a car, you meet a mysterious woman who says you’ll die if you don’t find your soulmate soon! Now you have to juggle school, work, and your impending doom?!
Fate works in mysterious ways. You bump into your childhood best friend who you haven’t seen in years. Your friend’s sister takes a keen interest in you. The senior you occasionally bump into helps you get an internship. And even the CEO at your new job seems to have her eyes on you…
Who will be your soulmate, and who holds a hidden vendetta against you? In this twisted, passionate game of emotions, what will come to light? Love, possessiveness, manipulation, and obsession swirl together… Will you discover the truth behind it all?
Recommendation:
Love Curse is a high quality yuri Visual Novel and the first work of developer Xso. And what an impressive first release! It has high quality art, good voice acting (Chinese), several routes and a good general mystery. The only manko one could give it is that some routes and endings feel rushed.
While the synopsis and themes make the game seem quite sinister, outside of the bad endings it is not really that dark or demented. That's right, the game features good and bad ending for every route, but there is just one true ending.
Yuri content:
From childhood friend to a CEO, Selene is fated to meet lots of love interests. Some more obssessed with her than others. Ultimately all roads lead to romance, toxic or otherwise. The story technically focuses on an overarching narrative, so it's suggested to go through all romance routes.

The Chrono Jotter
Synopsis:
Many years ago, the popular high-school student Ann Sakura went missing in mysterious circumstances. Despite her uncountable efforts to find her, Ran Ibuki never lost hope of holding the girl in her arms once again. Now, an old and dilapidated school in the middle of the forest is giving her that chance, but not at a low cost…
In The Chrono Jotter, Ran will find herself trapped in a chilling game of death and life as she fights to bring Ann back. The students in the school used to be slaughtered and, still, no one knows the identity of the murderer! To get out alive, Ran will be forced to solve this mystery. Fortunately, this place seems to have awakened a very convenient power within Ibuki: now, she’s able to go back in time every time someone dies.
Follow Ran in her travels to the past and help her find out the truth by gathering decisive clues. But what’s more important: don’t let anyone know about your little secret — after all, the one who slaughters can also tremble like a victim.
Recommendation:
The Chrono Jotter is a dark, stylistically moody and surprisingly surreal visual novel about how far people will go for love. The mystery is of course at the center of the tale, but what makes Chrono Jotter work are the great character interactions. Finding your footing in the bizarre school can be unnerving and the story certainly leans into horror at times, but overall it is more about uncovering the truth with logic. There is some mild gore though, so be warned.
The way time travel is integrated into the story allows for some neat twists and in the search for Ran's girlfriend she will need any advantage she can get...
It's worth mentioning that the initial version of the game had a mediocre machine translation, but has been update in the year after with a proper English translation. If you find bad reviews or negatvie talk about the translation, it is probably for the old version pre-patch.
Yuri content:
With our protagonist searching for her literal girlfriend there is little doubt this is a yuri game of course, but there are actually more side-couples/romantic feelings between other girls you can encounter throughout the game.

Mizuchi 白蛇心傳
Synopsis:
"Is there a true path to happiness?"
Abruptly finding herself at the bottom of a snake pit, an impoverished girl named Linh is bound and helpless for a crime she did not commit. Left to the mercy of the village snake god, a mysterious entity appears before her, offering to save her in exchange for her soul.
Finding herself in a new reality, she is torn between staying with the beautiful temptress, Ai, who had rescued her from death, and the resourceful wanderer, Jinhai, who promises to set her free.
Who is the real savior? Will Linh discover the strength to change her own fate? Journey with Linh as she is forced to question her understanding of life, happiness, and what it means to be human. Each decision matters in this tale about identity, friendship, love and loss.
Recommendation:
Based on both Japanese and Chinese mythology, Mizuchi turns a fairy tale into a yuri visual novel full of both goofy and deep scenes that culminate in a really good romance. It takes a very fantastical story and inserts it into a more mundane everyday life. While I wouldn't call it purely slice-of-life, it certainly feels like it.
The center of the conflict are the snake lady Ai and the famous monk Jinhai. Ai harbors hatred for humans, but offers Linh salavation in exchange for her soul. Jinhai is a former monk who promises to save Linh from her predicament. Despite being at odds, this triangle keeps growing closer and finds an entirely new reason to be at odds.
The 15+ patch for Steam adds some descriptive sexual content, but the actual art is never explicit. itch doesn't need the patch.
Yuri content:
Whether you prefer Ai or Jinhai, Linh cannot help but find love with one of her enigmatic companions. Both are postured as saviors, so is it too unreasonable to fall for those special women?

A Little Lily Princess
Synopsis:
Based on the classic novel A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett. A life simulation game of romance and friendship between girls.
In British-controlled India, Sara Crewe was raised like a princess by her doting Papa, always given the best of everything. Now that she is old enough, she must be sent away to boarding school in a foreign land, relying on her love of books and fairytales to help her make friends.
But not all smiles can be trusted, and fortune can turn cold and hard at any moment. What would happen to a little princess if she lost everything?
Recommendation:
A Little Lily Princess takes a classic novel and turns it into a yuri flavored visual novel. If you like the book, you certainly will like the VN. But even if you never heard of A Little Princess before, this VN is extremely good on its own. While the sim aspect of it is basically just a fancy way to pick events and routes (the stats you raise simply are used as a ressource to select the character you want to get closer to), it does immerse you into Sara's life at the boarding school.
It is a sweet and sour story of classism, turbulent changes in life and the heavy reality of Victorian England. Sara Crewe is an endearing young protagonist, pure and unspoiled, but resilient and kind. This game focuses a lot more on her developing relationships with those around her, classmates, maids and servant girls alike.
The game can be really emotionally hard hitting in the second half, exceptionally effective in the way it makes the player feel for Sara.
Yuri content:
The game features 6 endings, based on the 6 girls Sara can get close to. All but 1 are romantically framed, although another one has a rather mixed feeling for certain reasons. The romance is sweet at first and emotionally poignant later. Most end with explicit kisses and dating, in spite of the difficulties of same-sex relationships in that society.

Yumeutsutsu Re:Master
Synopsis:
Yumeutsutsu Re:Master is a girls-love adventure game set in a small japanese game studio. The story is set in the town of Koenji, not far from the imperial capital of Tokyo, where a small game studio called Eureka Soft has set up shop.
The heroine Ai, a country girl, joins her sister Kokoro who works there, after receiving a mysterious email from the studio head. There she meets the quirky all-girl (and a dog) cast: the big sisterly head of the studio, her actual sister who is giving her the cold shoulder, the maid/voice talent, the "tiny dinosaur" scenario writer, the uniformed artist, and Banako, the dog and vice-president. Ai starts learning about game making as she slowly pieces together the mysteries of her colleagues.
Ai's world will expand bit by bit, as the game production begins.
Recommendation:
Re:master is a high production value yuri visual novel with several different routes which alos each feature several endings. It's a long experience with lots of variety. As with most Kogado games, this one really goes places. Straight into absurdity or emotional on the flip of a coin!
Though the premise seems innocent and basic, things can get quite weird in this story of love and game making. A neat feature is that game within the game being yuri as well. Seeing developers work out the kinks of a game is interesting, although the actual focus on game production is mostly secondary.
The visuals are a treat, the voice acting is professional and memorable and the overall package is quite meaty. This is a game that can go around 30 hours at full completion.
Warning: This VN contains an incest route. It is optional.
There is also a spin-off game called Yumeutsutsu Re:Idol, which focuses on an alternate plotline where Ai is forced to become an idol. Unfortunately it has never been translated.
Yuri content:
Each heroine is fleshed out well and very compatible with Ai (yes even her sister) and the romance tends to not go as first expected in most cases. There are sweet and fluffy routes, but also some that will leave you with mixed emotions. Ultimately it is a full on yuri extravaganza.

Synopsis:
Yumeutstsu Re:After is a collection of after stories for the main routes in the main game, which can be treated as either epilogues or alternate timelines depending on circumstances.
Yumeutsutsu Re:Unification

Recommendation:
If you felt like the main game was not giving you enough yuri or if you just really need more of certain pairings, this sequel provides. If you thought the main game took some weird turns, Kogado will manage to surprise you yet.
The quality of the main game is kept intact, though Re:After is somewhat shorter. You select your after stories directly this time, so there is no common route, which makes sense as these are all mutually exclusive AUs.
Warning: The incest is still present!
DOUBLE warning: There is in fact bestiality with the female dog. You have been warned.
Yuri content:
The after stories go a lot further with the relationships of the main pairings and even delve more into the game within the game's main pairing.

Nurse Love Syndrome
Synopsis:
The story follows Sawai Kaori who almost died in a traffic accident at the age of 10 but was revived by hospital staff. Ever since then, Kaori became determined to take up ‘nursing’ as her means of saying thanks to the doctors who rescued her. And so at the age of 21, she begins her journey as a nurse…
Recommendation:
A Kogado yuri duology that goes absolutely off the hinges? Again? Miracles really do happen twice.
Nurse Love Syndrome is a story about nurses in love. It gives you several couples to follow, which can take you to the sweetest heights. It also has many different endings dependent on what missteps you take. One wrong turn and you will end up with sheer insanity.
It has cute art, great voice acting and a decent play time, especially if you explore all possibilities... against your better judgement.
Yuri content:
A rarity in the yuri genre, a story about all adult pairings. As expected of aspiring nurses these couple can heal your heart, mend your depression and give you a saccharine overdose. Just ignore the kidnapping, brainwashing and other optional traumata.

・Nurse Love Addiction
Synopsis:
Follow Asuka Osachi, a ditzy girl training to become a nurse at Teito Nursing School.
Experience her story with her classmates as they discover love, medicine, and adulthood.
Recommendation:
So you made it through Syndrome and still came back for more? This must be your thing then.
While this is technically the second game in the series, it is fairly standalone and can even be played first. Despite a slight artstyle shift, Addiction carries all of the positives from Syndrome. Good art, music, voice acting and variability in pairings and outcomes.
Yes, the unhinged routes and endings are back, although in a way Addiction has a lot more grounded narratives.
Yuri content:
Nurses. Adiults. Yuri. A holy trinity of saccharine love. The new cast are all a bit more mature than Syndrome's, but the love goes the paces... just try to keep the lovers actually alive.

Renai Bakudan
Synopsis:
Having just dealt with the roughest time in her life, Juri Kido's luck is finally turning around. At the invitation of her best friend, Juri moves to the small, coastal town of Akiyama; leaving behind the big city of Tokyo for good. But what Juri doesn’t know is just what kind of place this cozy locale really is...
Because Akiyama is not only home to a massive red-light district, but also houses the biggest, hottest, and weirdest love hotel in the world; HOTEL BAKUDAN!
After meeting seven beautiful ladies and scoring a job at the hotel, Juri knows that this is the golden opportunity she's been searching for. With so much sex, drama and romance at every turn, Juri has no doubt that living in Akiyama is going to change her life. Just what awaits her on these sunny shores?
Welcome to HOTEL BAKUDAN. We hope you enjoy your stay!
Recommendation:
Fun, unhinged, horny. The three pillars of Renai Bakudan. It's a visual novel full of wacky characters, but with a lot of heart. The art, choices and music are all extremely memorable and that's what matters when you want a bombastic eroge like this.
With more than 7 love interests and routes to explore, quite a few different love hotel rooms to go through, the game is packed with content, so anyone can get something out of it. It's also nice to have a uncompromisingly lesbian and experienced protagonist in an eroge.
Renai Bakudan is a sequel to LOVE BAKUDAN, taking place in the very same crazy love hotel. Renai is completely enjoyable on its own and sort of feels like an updated version of LOVE BAKUDAN despite featuring different casts. If you want more from the same world and writers there is also GOOD LUCK BABY! of course, which is a non-sexual, but equally comedic and colorful yuri VN about saving the world. Mostly.
Yuri content:
It's a yuri eroge with a bunch of love interests, need I say more? Well I could clarify that despite the plentiful horny content, the romance is still a strong focus of the VN and should not be discounted. We are talking serious cutesy and wholesome shit like marriage.

Lady in Mystery
Synopsis:
Seoul, Korea, AC 1786.
'Heesoo,' who used to be an ordinary girl, is living in this city as a detective, hiding her identity and even her gender.
5 years ago, she lost her family under false accusations and ran away, disguising herself as a man. She and her servant have been pretending to be noblemen, hiding their true identities.
But her life is about to be thrown into chaos because of this noble girl 'Juhee,' who just showed up in front of her out of nowhere...
Recommendation:
Lady in Mystery is one of the best yuri visual novel ever created. That is the first thing people should know.
The second is that its translation is subpar. It is still rated highly despite that fact. If this is a dealbreaker for someone it is completely understandable, but I still encourage everyone to still give it an honest shot.
The story is one of mystery, crime, tragedy and love. A grounded historical Korean setting that truly captures the atmosphere of a historical drama, mixed with the nuances of a detective novel. The main route and four routes all engage with the central mystery and their individual mysteries, which are all intriguing and well written. Shocking twists maybe, but always perfectly deducable and logical once they are figured out.
It is important to note that the full picture can only truly be gained by beating every route in the game. This is a long VN, averaging around the 30 hour mark even for veteran players (should they go for the all route completion that is). It has many bad endings and gag endings that are strewn about the narrative, giving your choices some weight. Many of these outcomes are heartwrenching or dark and should not be taken lightly. This is not a romcom, it is a serious detective drama.
Yuri content:
The four heroines are all complex and have their own circumstances in this historical setting that make same-sex love hard to deal with, even if our protagonist is masquerading as a man. It is possible to not pursue any of these romantic paths, but that ending is not going to be fulfilling either. Perhaps, despite the hardships, the embrace of true love can soothe the spirit of vengeance in the end.

Samurai of Hyuga
Synopsis:
Samurai of Hyuga is a brutal, heart-pounding interactive tale. Prepare to enter the land of silk and steel, where fantasy clashes against grim reality, and where the good guys don't always win in the end. It's a harsh world with tough choices at every turn. Good thing you're the toughest ronin around.
A bodyguard, an assassin, a savior. Become all those things and more! Will you be able to change your ways and protect those around you? Or will you succumb to your bloodthirst and become the ultimate manslayer? Will you find love, or lust? Will you adopt a code of honor, or do whatever it takes to win? Can your spirit survive against your own demons?
Recommendation:
Samurai of Hyuga is a series of currently 5 books that also have add-ons with dozens of side-stories. Safe to say this is an immense undertaking that took many years to release. And guess what, it's not even done! So if you are not willing to start an on-going franchise, turn away now.
Something these books excell at, beyond the crass humor and cool fights, are the variety of choices and their continuity. Things are always feeling just right for whatever you choose, as if the narrative had always been meant to go that way. Except choices you made in book one to still bite you in the back by book four though.
If weeb fantasy appeals to you and you have an interest in sexual themes and cool battles then SoH really is a dream come true.
Yuri content:
Many different love interests and the protagonist is not even limited to one romance at a time. If you want your lady ronin to be a harem protagonist, then so be it. Some love interests don't get as many scenes as others, so expect long gaps between focus at times. With some rather explicit erotic content in latter books, the fact that it adapts to your choice of gender and sexuality is all the more important.

If It Please the Court
Synopsis:
"Seduce and surveil as a sexy royal spy! Gather intel, or gamble on love in 18th-century Versailles. Who will catch your eye: a spymistress, a poet, or a traitor to the king?
You've been recruited from the slums of Paris into the Secret du Roi, Louis XV's league of covert emissaries and spies. As a spy for the court, you now have the power to change your life–and tip an unstable country toward transformation.
It's one thing to lie for a living, but your love life demands honesty. And women all over Versailles are ready to lure your heart. Will it be the spymistress with a lifetime of secrets, the poet languishing in the shadow of the queen, or the double agent haunting your every move? No matter who you pursue, you'll have to survive a rival's hostile ambitions, and see that the Crown doesn't crush yours.
Love and loyalty is all that will be left when this house of cards falls. Who will you protect to ensure a better future, and who will you sacrifice? When your mask falls away, will anyone trust the person underneath?
Recommendation:
Do you like spy thrillers and historical dramas? This is the game for you. And as a cherry on top it is entirely sapphic, meaning unlike most CYOAs it truly does only focus on lesbian(ish) relationships.
Where it excells in character drama, the actual plot and intrigue of the story is more... basic. That doesn't distract from what this is really about, the unapologetically gay romantic entanglements and dance.
Yuri content:
Your choices of lovers are as varied as they are dramatically dangerous. Risk it all for love or make it a deal that neither of you can refuse. Regardless, this is a story about ladies who love ladies.

Wayhaven Chronicles
Synopsis:
Your first case as a detective is forcing you to open your eyes to a world bigger than you thought. But maybe it's better to keep them closed. Knowing too much doesn’t help anyone sleep at night! Seems the supernatural didn’t get the memo that nothing exciting ever happens in the little town of Wayhaven.
Experience the big and small moments with a host of characters throughout this exciting twist on the usual supernatural tale—a story which will take you through heart-pounding romance, smile-filled friendships, and shiver-inducing drama.
Recommendation:
The Wayhaven books are basically a perfect introduction to CYOA. They are not too long, not too oppressive, but still have some depth and interesting romance paths as well as an actual plot. Although the synopsis states differently, it really feels less like a detective series and more like a fun urban fantasy romp.
There are three books overall.
Yuri content:
There are several great choices and some not so smart choices (are you really going back to yourt ex?), but as is the nature of most CoG CYOA you can choose to make the love interests all female. Whole Wayhaven is more on the morbidly comedic side, the romance is one of its stronger focuses and quite lovely.

Vampire The Masquerade: Night Road
Synopsis:
The elders have entrusted you, an elite vampire courier, to deliver their secrets. Can you outrun the hunters, the other drivers, and the rising sun?
It’s a new Dark Age for the dead. When the Second Inquisition's vampire hunters hacked phone lines and computer networks to expose and destroy vampires all over the world, the elders turned to undead couriers like you. For ten years, you’ve raced across the desert between cities, delivering vital information and supplies. But when an old friend reappears with a plan to disrupt the blood trade across the American Southwest, everything you’ve built starts crashing down.
Recommendation:
Are you afraid of the dark? Well more importantly, are you afraid of being dragged into the intricacies of the World of Darkness franchise? If yes, this game will definitely make you nervous, because it is the perfect gateway drug into the Vampire the Masquerade side of said universe. On the upside, you absolutely don't need any prior knowledge about that universe, as this story works entirely standalone and explains its mechanics quite well. On the other hand it very deeply cuts into the lore of this universe and will be extra entertaining for seasoned veterans.
Regardless, Marquis' writing is exceptional and this story just works on so many levels. It is probably the best VTM story that has ever been written outside the confines of the tabletop experience with your friends. The main plot is a grand web of mysteries and the variety on how you can approach both the plot and your character definition is excellent. Be whatever vampire clan you want and use whatever powers suit you best. Make big choices and small choices that will actually come back to bite you. Romance is perhaps not Marquis' strong suit, but it is a nice bonus.
There are two DLCs that add more vampire clans to choose from and more abilities to obtain.
Yuri content:
Your romance options are limited and unlike most CoG CYOAs character sexes tend to be defined (outside of the protagonist). So the female love interests are limited to what you are given. That might actually be a positive despending on the reader's perspective.

Werewolf The Apocalypse: The Book of Hungry Names
Synopsis:
You and your shattered werewolf pack must save the living Earth with Rage and spirit! In this interactive novel with hundreds of choices, can you defeat a Wyrm Spirit that manifests as a lie that you want to believe?
Shapeshifter. Mystic. Hero. Monster. You are a werewolf, and you are all these things. Werewolves are the living earth's last guardians, created by Gaia, given the gift of shifting between human and wolf forms, and called to stop humanity from destroying the world.
But you have failed.
Recommendation:
We can't get off Kyle Marquis' wild ride yet! BoHN is another story from the World of Darkness, this time focused on the werewolf side of the universe. This is without a doubt a magnum opus if I have ever read one. It far suprasses Night Road, which was already excellent. Just like with that game, you do not need to have any prior knowledge of Werewolf and it's lore, because this game will tell you all you need.
The plot is amazing, the reactivity of your choices and abilities is phenomenal, the characters are layered and fascinating and the endings feel truly earned. An all around must play in my opinion and one of the longest standalone CYOAs to date. There are several DLCs that add more tribes and gifts to choose from as well.
Yuri content:
The romance is once again not the focus of this story, but it feels quite natural. There are two female love interests and as of last patch even a poly romance option if you just can't decide. Don't play it for the romance, but definitely do go for it.

Fallen Hero Rebirth/Fallen Hero Retribution
Synopsis:
Become the greatest telepathic villain Los Diablos has ever known! Once you were famous; soon you will be infamous. That is, unless your old friends in the Rangers stop you first. Juggle different identities and preserve your secrets as you build new alliances and try to forget the friendships you've left behind.
How Far Will You Fall Down the Path Of Villainy?
Recommendation:
So warning ahead of time, Fallen Hero is not finished yet. The first (Rebirth) and second (Retribution) game are out, but we're still waiting for Revelations. So if you are not willing to end on a cliffhanger, perhaps wait a while before starting this story. If you are brave enough to believe in an eventual conclusion... definitely pick up Fallen Hero.
Despite the entire premise of becoming a major villain, how you go about this is entirely up to you. The protagonist's backstory is mostly set, which is rare for CYOAs, but you can influence the nuances and especially the present. Ultimately you can be a ruthless monster or a conflicted anti-hero. You can cooperate with the heroes, use them or completely oppose them. The most fun comes from the double identity play, but some of the plans, powers and lore in this are just spectacular and exciting.
Yuri content:
The romance is held back by a LOT, nay, a metric ton of trauma, so it will not be easy or quick. But that makes it all the more worthwhile. Even though it is not a romance focused story, somehow it excells more at its romance than many romance focused CYOAs.

Cyberpunk 2077
Synopsis:
Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure RPG set in the megalopolis of Night City, where you play as a cyberpunk mercenary wrapped up in a do-or-die fight for survival. Customize your character and playstyle as you take on jobs, build a reputation, and unlock upgrades. The relationships you forge and the choices you make will shape the story and the world around you.
Legends are made here. What will yours be?
Recommendation:
Cyberpunk 2077 had one of the most disastrous game launches in recent history, but it is a success story nonthless, because CDProjekt didn't drop the game, they kept patching, improving and revamping the experience until it became a beloved masterpiece to many. It's a story of going from the very bottom to the very top. Quite fitting.
After its major combat and skill tree overhaul Cyberpunk truly is an insanely fun game with dozens of builds and possibilities. But what makes the game stand out most is it story, its characters and the world, I think on that most people would agree. Night City is large, sprawling, full of missions and things to do, similar to a GTA game, but with writing and depth that make side-quests actually feel memorable and relevant.
Our protagonist, nicknamed V, is a blank canvas for the player to draw on in a way. You choose from three major backgrounds which will decide your backstory dialogue and choices across the game (Corporate, Street Kid, Nomad), but how your V behaves or chooses is up to you at nearly every turn. Choices can have heavy effects on how you play missions or how characters treat you, but the main story is still mostly railroaded. Some things will change depending on your approach, but the true effect of your choices mostly comes in at the very end of the story.
Every single line in the game is voice acted marvelously, most interactions have proper cutscenes or in-game equivalents and the general production value rivals movies. The sheer amount of great music on the radio stations means you will probably never experience a quiet moment unless you force yourself to meditate with the monks.
Gun fights, boxing matches, car races, sneaking, bartering, infiltration, romantic dates... V can do it all. Will you be violent and aggressive or try to keep collateral to a minimum as you reach your goals? The game does not judge you no matter how you act. But be aware that some characters can die permanently.
Cyberpunk got one major expansion DLC, Phantom Liberty. This may well be some of the best content in the entire game and adds a good 20 hours to the experience. It is 100% worth the asking price and if you don't get it in a bundle with the main game, it is highly recommended to buy the DLC. It is a spy thriller in the heart of a lawless zone of Night City, that will bring V to her absolute breaking point, but also holds major upgrades and an entirely new ending for the main game.
Yuri content:
For yuri lovers Cyberpunk offers only one major romance. Luckily that romance is with Judy, the best romance option! Not only that, Judy is a lesbian who is exclusively into female V. The romance is very in depth and even features a fully mocapped sex scene, but outside of her early plot involvement, side-story and optional dates, V is generally busier with the main quest than with her girlfriend. This is still an action game, not a romance novel, so be aware of that.
Aside from Judy, there are a couple of one-night stands V can have with several women, but these are not really important.
But what if you really, really want to romance the usually male V exclusive Panem? What if you somehow got it in your head that there should be more female romance options in general? Maybe the modding community has already found solutions for your insatiable needs!

The Horizon franchise is one of Sony's modern Playstation darlings and for good reason. A gorgeous, breathing world, endless exploration, a unique and powerful story, fun combat and incredible soundtrack. It has all the marks of the best open world franchises.
As the mid chapter of the trilogy, Forbidden West picks up right at the end of the first game, Horizon Zero Dawn. There is no way around it, this game should only be played after finishing the first. While the first game had no romance to speak of though and thus is not relevant to the recommendation list, Forbidden West has improved a lot on its predecessor in many ways, including the way it deals with romance and connections.
So if you are willing to give Zero Dawn a chance to prepare for Forbidden West you will definitely, surely, get something out of this series.
The skill trees have been greatly expanded, the world is even bigger than Zero Dawn's and there is just a whole lot more to do. Side-quests can take you to new locations and naturally integrate into the main progression. This time around you gather a crew of loyal companions that will help Aloy solve the current crisis and stop the blights that plague the world ever since the events of Zero Dawn. This group of initiated companions will help Aloy in a variety of ways from their main base as she tries to stop a vicious civil war, restore GAIA's components to save nature and fight a new unknown threat from beyond the stars...
Yuri content:
As alluded to previously, Forbidden West is more confident in how it handles romance as a theme. There are several couples in the main story and you even have a lesbian companion who has a wife in her home tribe that she wishes to save by helping Aloy. In this world same-sex romance is mostly not an issue so you can come across many such couples in the overworld and some side-quests. A major plot point of the game revolves around the lesbian tryst between major characters and the fallout of that old flame.
But things get really interesting in the Burning Shores expansion specifically where Aloy will meet a tough huntress named Seyka that she is undeniably attracted to. How far they go is up to the player for now and with the third game still not being in reach any future relationships are uncertain, but the devs are clearly committed to making Aloy attracted to women.

Haven
Synopsis:
Yu and Kay have escaped to a forgotten planet, leaving everything they knew behind.
Play two lovers at the same time as they settle into an unknown world. Explore the planet looking for parts and material to fix your ship and make it a cosy home. Enjoy moments of everyday life as a relatable couple while cooking meals, crafting and collecting precious resources to make it to the next day.
Fight against those trying to tear you apart by synchronizing actions in combat, finding the perfect timing and rhythm, while controlling both characters and battling to keep them and their relationship alive.
In this unexpected RPG adventure, explore the beautifully eerie and unstable planet while enjoying the thrilling soundtrack of renowned musician, DANGER.
Recommendation:
Haven is a beautiful game about love and trials, in equal parts cozy and dramatic. You can spend hours drifting through the world and exploring to the atmopsheric soundtrack, clearing the area of its Rust corruption and listening to Yu and Kay's banter. Only occasionally will you be interrupted by the active time combat against the more vicious creatures of this unknown world.
Finding secret locations, trinkets, new types of food and camping in the wilds: All of those things will lead to new events between the couple and immerse you more in their relationship. Haven is wholly unique in that it truly focuses all on being a couple rather than leading up to some romance or only having it as a side-mechanic. Their chemistry is great and their interactions always entertaining.
The very reason Kay and Yu are stranged here is because they refused to let their society decide who they could love. This is true for all versions of them too. And yes, there are variations. At the beginning of the game the player can choose the gender of both Kay and Yu. Thus allowing this to be a het, yuri or BL experience. The voice actress for female Kay is doing really well and makes the change seamless, despite being a latter addition. Some dialogue specific to the sexes has also been adjusted (e.g. the topic of periods etc.).
Yuri content:
It is up to you to keep this love alive no matter what, but from the beginning of the story Kay and Yu are a dedicated couple. They have their highs and lows, agreements and disagreements, but their love is genuine. In their society every aspect of life is dictated by the government, including who is your most compatible partner. Yu's mother for example is married a woman who was chosen for her and made it work. But Yu does not want to marry the man that was chosen for her, she wants to be with Kay. And Kay was assigned to a female biologist simply because their field of study alligns, but she woo'd Yu herself and fled to this distant planet with her, sacrificing her old life without question.

Kitsune Tails
Synopsis:
Play as a young female kitsune, one of Inari's fox-eared and bushy-tailed messengers, and embark on a hero's journey that begins while delivering your first message. Go on a date with a kindly sorceress who came to your aid in a time of need. Explore the complicated relationship with your childhood friend turned antagonist and uncover her reasons for sealing your love interest inside an elemental prison. Unlock powers that manifest as cute outfits to help you run, jump, and dash across a land inspired by Japanese mythology in Kitsune Tails, the follow up to Super Bernie World.
Recommendation:
Kitsune Tails is a highly polished platformer in the vein of Super Mario that can really push the player's skill to their limits, while also offering an easy barrier of entry with the lower difficulty and infinite respawns for those who can't face the challenge. A huge selection of worlds, interesting gimmicks and power ups keep the game fresh throughout its runtime. The pixel art is cute and expressive, while never getting in the way of platforming precision.
The game features a "hub" of sorts with the main village in which you can talk to NPCs, engage in minigames and buy power ups with coins. There are a few minor side-quests related to the village too. The wandering shop also allows you to buy items on the world map at times.
Overall it is a game anybody can complete, but only few can master. Especially the bonus worlds will challenge any platformer pro for sure.
Yuri content:
The main love triangle of this game is established from the very start and all sides have their own feelings and reasons for why they are in this situation, but not all may turn out as expected. Saving the "princess" is only the first layer. Regardless, there is explicit love and romance in the game.

Bad End Theater
Synopsis:
welcome to BAD END THEATER!
select your protagonist and explore a variety of terrible fates!
the decisions you make in one story will affect the others. you can toggle these behaviors to open up new paths! unfortunately, every path leads to a bad ending...
can you find a way to save this unlucky cast?
Recommendation:
nomnomnami is a well known name in the indie yuri scene. She has created several short yuri VNs, recognizable by her unique artstyle, her hatred for capitalization of words and the quirky yet heartfelt writing. BAD END THEATER is a deceptively simple game that does not seem to follow her usual kinetic VN style nor be particularly yuri. The latter is definitely not the case, because the longer you play the more obvious the yuri becomes.
The writing in this game is mostly comedically dark, but can sometimes become genuinely unnerving despite the cutesy character art. It is by no means a horror game though and while figuring out all the possible branching paths to collect your bad endings can be a little challenging, it is overall a cozy experience that isn't much more intense than playing a visual novel.
It's an experience anyone can enjoy and it will stick with you long after you finish it.
Yuri content:
It's not much of a spoiler to say that the Maiden and the Overlord quickly develop crushes on each other and are involved in some good old tragic yuri. However, perhaps if you beat the odds and overcome the 40+ bad endings, beyond Tragedy something better may lie.
Without spoiling too much, the entire game is very much about the lesbian experience. You have to reject the bad ending that others set for you to find that happiness.

Potionomics
Synopsis:
After the untimely death of her uncle, a penniless witch named Sylvia finds herself thrust into the role of potion proprietor. It's all up to her to carry on her uncle's legacy and keep his potion shop afloat. Thankfully, she won't have to go it alone. With help from some new friends, Sylvia must hone her negotiation skills, outsell her craftiest competitors, and make her shop THE number-one potion destination in Rafta. It’s all about mastering the finer points of Potionomics!
Recommendation:
Potionomics is a game that does dozens of different things at once and does all of them well enough that they perfectly flow into each other. It is a raising sim, a dating sim, a capitalism sim and a card battler. It's a beautiful chaotic mess that somehow just works. You forge bonds with characters so that you can get advantages and better haggling decks and more ingredients, but in the process ysou grow attached to the whole cast and begin with love them in all their quirky and exaggerated ways.
Presentation is a strong suit of the game, with its slightly cartoony, almost Pixar-esque designs. But the 2D art is also extremely appealing. Every UI element and function is lovingly crafted. The music is whimsical and fitting and the voice acting which got added with a major update is shockingly good. Of course you always have the option to turn the voices off again if you so desire, but I would consider it perfectly cast.
The goal of the game is to pay off Sylvia's debt, which she unfortinately inherited from her dead uncle, and become the greatest potion shop in Rafta. To that end she has to prepare for big potion competitions each week and present her concoctions. Some people considered the game too hard, but with the major update also came a difficulty selection. Now there is an easy mode that makes the game approachable for anyone and also a hard mode that challenges economic sim veterans. Add to that the new endless mode and you can fulfill all your goals even long after the end of the main story.
The DLC adds a new service for Sylvia to use, including a new (familiar) character to bond with and thus also a new haggling deck archetype. As said character is male it will not be a relevant romance option though. The DLC is by no means a must have, but if you just want more content for this great game, it's not bad.
Yuri content:
Sylvia can romance almost all her acquaintances, male, female or other (with a few exceptions). There are many wonderful women in her life, some business partners, some rivals. Every character also has a perfectly normal friendship route of course. Additionally the major update added the choice between just having one lover or being able to romance as many characters as you like in one playthrough. This option is selected at the beginning of the game. If you pick one love Sylvia will automatically reject potential lovers if she is already dating someone. The harem mode has no restrictions, however the writing also doesn't really acknowledge Sylvia's polyamory.

Stardew Valley
Synopsis:
You've inherited your grandfather's old farm plot in Stardew Valley. Armed with hand-me-down tools and a few coins, you set out to begin your new life. Can you learn to live off the land and turn these overgrown fields into a thriving home? It won't be easy. Ever since Joja Corporation came to town, the old ways of life have all but disappeared. The community center, once the town's most vibrant hub of activity, now lies in shambles. But the valley seems full of opportunity. With a little dedication, you might just be the one to restore Stardew Valley to greatness!
Recommendation:
Stardew Valley is the quintessential pixel farming sim that all other pixal farming sims try to emulate. While its principals and presentation are very basic, it somewhat revolutionized the genre at the time. What it does best is to just add on itself over and over, giving lots of varied and engaging content, where farming is just a small aspect in the overall package. It also has in depth dating mechanics for the town's bachelorettes which have become iconic in their own way.
Whether you like exploration, combat, resource gathering, dating, town building, farming, fishing or archeology: This game has it in spades (and with spades). With its up to 8 player co-op it also can turn into a fun collaborative effort that is rare for the farming sim genre.
Unlike with other games where modding is just a fun add-on, Stardew Valley in particular thrives on mods. It is made from the ground up to be easily moddable and has stayed relevant and popular due to the constant slew of mods made by the very passionate community. It might be a good idea to look into some of the most popular content expansion mods to raise your 100 hour playthrough to 300 real quick!
Of course for the purposes of this list, here is a recommendation for some yuri relevant mods.
Yuri content:
The base game has 6 bachelorettes to date and eventually marry (without gender restrictions). This may seem a paltry amount for a game this large, but once again, modding is your friend. To get into romantic relationships the player has to give gifts, go on hangouts and raise the affection with the iconic 10 heart affetion meter (a staple that has been copied aplenty since). The bachelorettes have their own small storylines that are also slightly affected by how far you have advanced on other charavters personal quests and stories. There is some post-marriage content too, but mostly in events or festivals.
You can have children with your spouse (adoption for same-sex couples), but only 2 and they never grow older than toddlers.

Harvest Moon: Winds of Anthos
Synopsis:
The land of Anthos was a peaceful and harmonious land watched over by the Harvest Goddess and the Harvest Sprites, who protected the inhabitants of Anthos from natural disasters such as storms, earthquakes, and the like.
However, one day many years ago, Anthos experienced a severe volcanic eruption that threatened life on Anthos itself, and the Harvest Goddess and Harvest Sprites had to use all of their remaining power to keep the people and animals of Anthos safe. This left the different villages across the land blocked off from each other. Some unfortunate souls even got trapped outside their villages, and were unable to return...
Believing that the separated villages and people would one day be reconnected, the Harvest Goddess sent out a bottle with a letter and a magic key, then fell into a deep sleep...
Now, 10 years later, you have found the SOS the Harvest Goddess sent to the world in the form of a message in a bottle! With the help of your wacky inventor friend Doc Jr. and many others, it’ll be up to you to revive the Harvest Goddess and the Harvest Sprites, as well as reconnect all of the villages of Anthos with each other!
Recommendation:
Winds of Anthos is the first Natsume made Harvest Moon title that has seen reasonable praise and favorability. One might say they finally learned how to make a decent farming sim. It features all the staples of older Harvest Moon games, although with a lighter focus on mechanics and more on exploration. Many additions are hidden behind DLC unfortunately. The scale of the world is impressive though and I would definitely recommend the DLC that adds a camping function for your travels.
Like most modern farming sims the game includes plenty of side activities, a customisable (somewhat at least) protagonist and of course a dating mechanic. The artstyle has become more distinct and the music is nice enough. An overall very above average package.
Yuri content:
Five bachelorettes await, all same-sex marriable of course. Characterisation is something Winds of Anthos actually excells at and the romances are rather cute. You can also have children with your partners and engage with the child in various ways. The parents aspect is another thing the game has hugely improved in comparison to its predecssors.

My Time At Sandrock
Synopsis:
Just like My Time at Portia, My Time at Sandrock takes place in a wholesome post-apocalyptic world 330 years after the Day of Calamity destroyed most modern technologies.
After accepting a job offer to become Sandrock’s newest Builder, you’ll arrive in the wild and rugged city-state, where it’s up to you and your trusty tools to restore the community to its former glory. Gather resources to build machines, befriend locals, and defend Sandrock from monsters — all while saving the town from economic ruin!
Recommendation:
Made by the same devs that released the highly praised My Time at Portia, My Time At Sandrock is a substantial upgrade in every regard. It's a smooth and fun action game and famring sim at the same time. Exploration, combat, dating and economical rise are all extremely well executed. While the hyper-deformed human designs can be a bit... off-putting, the cartoony artstyle makes the world far more memorable, especially when it comes to the more absurd elements like the mutated animal races and so on.
Overall the game has an endless amount of things to do, has a decent plot, great atmosphere and is certainly a gem in the oversaturated farming sim genre, if for its good combat mechanics and action or its approach to building and expansion, which is focuses far more on than farming. It also features co-op which is a rare mechanic for this genre.
There are several DLCs, but the one that is absolutely essential is the Love Chronicles expansion, which greatly adds to the romance aspect of four of the love interests. If you buy the game you absolutely should get this DLC too. However, it might be preferable to hold off on installing it until you are already starting the romances with characters proper as the expansion goes a bit overboard on the intimacy with the characters right away.
Yuri content:
There are no gender restrictions on romances and everything is voice acted and well integrated into the plot. Romance is not as heavy a focus as in other farming sims (unless you date the characters from the romance expansion), but its notable nontheless. Very cute too. Being able to explore the world with your partner is also nice.
The game is still getting new content, so there will most definitely be more romance additions down the line.

A Wonderful Life:

Grand Bazaar:
Searching for a peaceful farm life, a fresh mountain breeze, and your own market stall? Look no further than the friendly community of Zephyr Town! Here you’ll grow crops and raise animals, get to know the locals, and sell your wares at the town's bazaar to restore it to its former glory.
Recommendation:
Let's get this out of the way, when Natsume and Marvelous stopped making Harvest Moon games together, Natsume kept the IP name, while Marvelous kept the rights to the actual games. Thus the series was rebranded Story of Seasons, while Natsume started making new Harvest Moon games on their own. Most Story of Seasons games are remakes/remasters of older Harvest Moon games, the exception being Pioneers of Olive Town. These games do see new additions that separate them from the older games, most importantly same-sex marriage being added.
These are the original quintessential farming sims, but even as remakes they show their age. They are classic, but outdated in many ways. That doesn't mean they aren't good games. Ironically the least critically liked game is the all new original, Olive Town.
Unless you are just really intent on going through the entire series on modern systems, I would recommend just playing the latest one. Fans argue about which of the games is the best, but usually it comes down to childhood nostalgia. And for that I actually recommend playing the original games with same-sex love mods. Otherwise Grand Bazaar is just the most polished and well made Story of Seasons experience right now. Graphically, mechanically and improvement wise it is the best.
But you honestly can't go wrong with any of these titles. If you crave farming sims this is the place to be.
Yuri content:
Thanks to the remakes adding same-sex marriage as an option all the female bachelorettes that used to be het exlcusive are now romancable by a female player. The games do properly acknowledge this and not just use male protag's script. Beyond that there are even some new love interests added for the remakes, which could be an incentive for old players to replay them.

Cute Bite
Synopsis:
For a vampire's loyal servant, a human kept alive beyond a natural lifespan by the power and magic of vampire blood, life is a matter of simple obedience... until misfortune befalls the vampire lord. To preserve your existence, you must awaken a new vampire mistress and re-establish the blood bond.
Unfortunately, during those long years asleep in a coffin, your vampire mistress shrank to child-size form! She has no memories, no magic, and a tendency to bite anything she can lay her hands on. In this condition, she won't be able to perform the blood bond!
Recommendation:
Cute Bite is a classic raising sim inspired game with similarities to the Princess Maker series. It's a bit smaller in scale and the fact that you try to raise an existing ancient vampire lady back to full power changes the dynamics a little. You play both as the lady's loyal Servant and as the vampire mistress herself, trying to get an education, form bonds, work jobs to make some coin and evade the dangerous vampire hunters in this modern small town.
Despite the oldschool look of the historical town, this is a modern world in which the young lady can learn how to use computers just as easily as classical dance and economics. Whatever you choose to train in and which people you befriend has major effects on how the vampire mistress will grow up. At some points you can make major decisions that affect her personality and relationship to the servant as well.
Whether you ruthlessly suck victims dry of their blood, become a highly competent artest, thief, philantrop or accountant, ultimately you will get one of the dozens of endings. A playthrough takes maybe about 4 hours and you can skip already read text, so each run should go a bit faster. Stat juggling is a bit obtuse in this game so it's not an easy entry for gaming newcomers, but it has a lot of variety so it should keep raising sim enthusiast entertained.
Yuri content:
Not all endings result in romance, but all romance is yuri. Pursuing one of the teachers or NPCs at work requires investment, but most of them will eventually lead to love. And once the mistress returns to her adult form that love can be sealed with a blood bond (or not if that is something you don't desire). Even if you don't romance one of the major NPCs the lady will always be a lesbian who might enjoy free love with many mortal women.
If you play your cards right and uncover a certain truth, the lady and her servant may also get romantic with each other.

Degrees of Lewdity
Synopsis:
You enter Bailey's office. "I know why you're here," she says, running a hand through her dark hair. "You want me to release you from my protection, so you'll be an independent citizen. I could do that. But there's a problem. You've been living under my roof without giving anything in return. You owe me. Until you pay me back, I'm not letting you go."
She lifts an envelope from her desk and thumbs through the contents. You glimpse your name. She smiles as she hides your identification documents in her jacket. "£100 should do. To start with. I don't care how you get it. Knock on doors and ask for work. Rent yourself as a footstool. Steal it even. Just have it a week from now. Or I'll find a way to extract value from you."
You return to your tiny bedroom and wonder what to do.
Recommendation:
Degrees of Lewdity is a highly immersive interactive sandbox game in which you play an orphan that freshly turned 18 and now has to deal with a debt to the orphange owner, Bailey. Your main incentive is to pay the money every week, no matter what methods you have to use to obtain it. The consequences of failure are grim.
That is the basic set-up, but the open world of this game is immense and you can play a hundred different ways. Whether you become an entrepreneur through selling produce from your garden and the farmlands, become a famous stripper or sell your body, search for historical artifacts to sell to the museum, become a famous chef, become a model or completely abandon civilisation to live with a wolf pack or get stockholm syndrome for your harpy wife... the choice is in your hands.
The main theme of the game is trauma and assault though, which should be kept in mind. The more alluring you become the more the thousands of rapists in this town want to go after you. Self-defense is hard and safe roads even rarer to find. Especially in the early game, earning money and keeping yourself unsullied are hard to balance. The temple may seem like a safe refuge, but something dark and unholy slumbers beneath this town and the nuns are very unconventional about dealing with it...
For the sake of customising each player's experience the game starts with a lot of selectable settings. You can toggle nearly everything, including the gender of the population (an all-female world is completely viable) and of major NPCs. The game is too hard? Play on Soft mode, even if you will not get achievements that way. You do not like bestiality? Turn all the animals in the game into monster-girls who can speak, but are still treated like animals. Tentacles, parasites, sex toys, pregnancy: All optional.
Now to explain the website and which mode to pick. If you go to dolmods you will see several options, the first of course being the Vanilla game. This is the standard DoL experience and there is nothing wrong with that. But the character sprites are pretty lacking. And there are some things that feel a bit tedious? Well here is a recommendation: Play Degreees of Lewdity Plus. This is the base game with a bunch of additions and even more things to toggle. Much more content and convenience. And to spruce up the game's visuals, you can select a specific version of DolPlus. DolPlus + Goose + Mysterious. Goose changes the sprites to be a beautiful anime pixel art style (see pictures below for reference) and Mysterious mod changes the sex animations and sprites to be less awful.
The only way to play mods is through this selection. You cannot mix and mash them unless you are given the option directly like on DolPlus with art extensions.
Yuri content:
As you can completely customise every aspect of the game, you can of course play a girl and have all love interests (and rapists) in the game be female too. Both the dialogue and sex mechanics will adjust themselves completely, so it will never feel out of place. There are 8 major love interests, ranging from your orphanage friend in the same situation, to a devout temple girl and even a wolf pack leader.
There are many consensual sexual encounters with generic NPCs too and you are totally capable of becoming the town bicycle to get your way and enjoy it.
With some of the optional content, you can even unlock Pregnancy for same sex pairings. It's considered a silly mode, because you can become pregnant from handholding with your partner, but it's a way to make children without any male parts.

Crush Crush
Synopsis:
Welcome to Crush Crush – the Idle Dating Sim! Begin your quest to win the hearts of your town's lovely ladies… after a few disastrous intros! Impress the girls by building your stats, unlocking jobs, and earning promotions. Woo them with romantic dates, thoughtful gifts, and a tickle fight or two! Work your way up from Frenemy to Lover, and unlock tons of amazing content along the way.
Recommendation:
Like all idle games, Crush Crush is not a game you can blast through in a weekend. It's something you occasionally open up every few days to unlock new things or level up a relationship. You go on dates, pay for gifts and pick what to use your time slots on. This is a streamlined idea of a dating sim of old which barely requires effort.
On the upside, the game has a lot of varied girls to date and a lot of art to go with it. Your self-insert avatar, lovingly refered to as Marshmallow, can be whatevert gender you choose. The girls will do everything in their power not to use any gendered terms for that reason. If that seems lazy and non-immersive to you the game is definitely not for you. In general this can only be recommended as a time killer that gives you some laughs and a bit of sexy art. And it is free after all.
A lot of the girls can be unlocked with the in-game currency (diamonds) which you acrue through daily gifts and also from completing levels on a girl's affection bar. There are also daily stamps you can collect to unlock girls/outfits/pin-up art for free. There is honestly not reason to spend money on diamons if you are patient.
What you might want to spend money on though is the 18+ "DLC" which unlocks all the sexual content in the game. The "Panda Pass" actually unlocks sexual content in all Sad Panda games you might own now or in the future. Like Hush Hush, which is a more proper dating sim with the same characters from Crush Crush. Unfortunately in that game you can't even select your gender for you own peace of mind, you are just genderless/maximum self-insert.
Yuri content:
Even if you might find the gender select badly integrated, all of the girls are by defailt bisexual. A lot of them will refer to their escapades with women they dated or had sex with and some of them are actively mingling with your harem. Karma and Sutra are literally lovers from the start who get into a poly relationships with the player. Lake and Sawyer are friends with benefits who are such close friends that they don't really see each other as girlfriends. Nova is still grieving for her dead ex-girlfriend. The variety of the datable girls leads to many such more explicitly yuri scenarios.

Crusader Kings 3
Synopsis:
Your legacy awaits. Choose your noble house and lead your dynasty to greatness in a Middle Ages epic that spans generations. War is but one of many tools to establish your reign, as real strategy requires expert diplomatic skill, mastery of your realm, and true cunning. Crusader Kings III continues the popular series made by Paradox Development Studio, featuring the widely acclaimed marriage of immersive grand strategy and deep, dramatic medieval roleplaying.
Recommendation:
Let's get the misconceptions out of the way immediately: Despite the title of the game you don't need to play a king. You are free to make a female ruler for any kongdom, duchy, baronate or other realm of rule you choose.
Now, generally CK3 is incredibly adjustable to whatever you prefer. You can make the mechanics much easier for yourself or you can make it more "realistic" and complex. Currency gain, influence and starting position are all selectable and even the goals of your campaign are up to you. Conquering the whole world is not the only option. Note that changing the rules to make things easier might lock you out from earning trophies.
This is a turn based strategy game in which you mostly focus on your court and its relations both within your realm outside of it. Diplomacy is important, negative and positive traits of your ruler affect a lot. You can leads wars in which you control your armies or you can automate combat in hope that your generals are capable enough. You can build your economy with markets and ports or you can rely on farmlands and religious buildings to placate your people. Catastrophe, spies, kidnapping and illnesses can cause trouble every day, but it is up to you to uphold your legacy as best as you can.
Your ruler is likely not going to live forever and the game can span centuries, so you should make sure you got someone ready to inherit the throne. The game features adoption and systems where a new leader is elected by council, so do not fear that you need to procreate yourself.
Like all Paradox games, CK3 has endless DLCs and expansions. It would take too much time to go through all of them, so I recommend just looking at them yourself and picking what catches your interest. They are often on sale or in bundles too.
Yuri content:
A free and permanent update to CK3 that came early on added same-sex marriage and romance to the game. Before that homosexuality was already a trait, but could not be worked with much. Now your female ruler can have a wife and adopt daughters and with the right policies you create a matriarchy in no time. The settings go even further though. You can make homosexulity the standard sexuality of the world and make all religions accepting of same-sex unions.
Additionally CK3 has an active modding scene which might give you even more to work with. The Sappho's Daughter 2 mod is highly recommended for the ultimate supernatural matriarchy involving lesbian demons and the ability for two women to have magic babies. Check out the yuri mod paste.
Incidentally the predeccsor Crusader Kings 2 also had many same-sex mods if you prefer that game.

Duel Princess
Synopsis:
To seal away the Great Demon King, you must collect the crests that the princesses carry on their bodies. To steal the crests, you must perform a ceremony known as a "Punishment." The crests emerge when the princess' body temperature and heart rate increases, so you must use items to your advantage to make the crests emerge and take them! This is the only way you can bring peace to the world, so why not be naughty and use whatever means you've got to punish the princesses? Speaking of which, even if a crest appears, it doesn't mean the princesses are going to pass away at the age of 25, so there's no need to worry.
Recommendation:
Duel Princess is a deck builder card summoning game in which you select your princess/kingdom and go around fighting other princesses and their armies for the sake of obtainin their sacred crests. Once all crests are collected the princess can then defeat the demon king (off-screen). The real goal is to punish enemy princesses for erotic "ritual" scenes and the game is hardly hiding it.
Each princess has her personal story relevant rival that she ultimately faces in the final battle and then thoroughly "punishes". Afterwards you will obtain the respective princess' ending and unlock more cards and story paths. There are minor choices to be made that affect what kind of cards you get, but each run starts from scratch. Battles are in real time and you have to choose which soldiers to summon, keeping in mind the mana cost of your cards and the princess' special skills.
The game doesn't actually feature any explicit sexual content. It's just mild foreplay and a lot of moaning. Torn clothes galore.
Yuri content:
Even beyond the "punishment" mini-game where the princesses clearly molest each other to orgasm, the story pairings have some heavy yuri implications with each other. It never gets to outright love confession territory, but the love is implied. It's an all-female cast with not even a mention of males, so it's quite safe.

This Bed We Made
Synopsis:
This Bed We Made is a third-person mystery game in which you play as a maid in a 1950s hotel and snoop around strangers' rooms to uncover their deadly secrets. Discover what links guests together in this tale of love, heartbreak and murder!
Recommendation:
This Bed We Made is an atmospheric mystery game in which you solve puzzles, find clues and navigate dialogue and choices to find out the truth of a murder that took place at the hotel Sophie newly got hired in. Your actions can have short or long term consequences and even small details you might not think of could change things. For example, leaving evidence that you were going through a guest's luggage will obviously raise suspicion.
The story is about a murder first and foremost, but during this investigation you learn a lot about the guests, the other staff members and about Sophie herself. The late 1950s perspective of womanhood and sexual minorities like lesbians and gays are a strong focus in this game and are presented excellently and believably.
Ultimately Sophie will affect the outcome of the investigation with her actions. Will she find out who the true culprit was? Will she shift blame to protect someone she thinks should be spared? And most importantly of all: Will she keep her job?
Yuri content:
Sophie has two romance options, one male, the other female. Beth is a great foil for Sophie, a long experienced lesbian who has learned how to charm and distract her way through everyday life in this hostile society. Sophie's naievety about the world and her poor honest roots make her feel out of Beth's league, but she has a spark to her that attracts Beth as well.
A major plot point is also the lesbian love between certain guests, which you can dive into very deeply as you explore the hotel. Their happiness may depend on your choices.

Little Goodie Two Shoes
Synopsis:
There once was Elise , a vibrant and ambitious young lass with a big dream – becoming filthy rich. In spite of this, the stars didn’t seem to have reserved our protagonist much fortune in life. Elise, who came from humble beginnings, had no choice but to spend her days away assisting her fellow neighbours with menial tasks to make a living.
One day, Elise discovers a pair of beautiful shiny red shoes buried in her backyard – what a surprise! Bewitched, Elise embarks on a fearful journey that pulls her closer and closer into the heart of the mysterious Woods!
Will Elise risk it all for the sake of a dream come true, or settle for her humble day-to-day life? The ending of this tale is yours to write...
Recommendation:
LGTS is a throwback to the good old days of RPGmaker horror games, except it doesn't suck. The mechanics and puzzles are modernized to be more accessible and the graphics are beautifully handdrawn in a 80s-90s anime style, reminding of classics like Heidi. The soundtrack is an absolute delight, one of the high points of the game for sure.
The story is mostly a light horror story aout poor Elise wanting to rise above her station by fulfilling tasks given to her by a mysterious being. To achieve that she ventures into the cursed forest and goes through many trials that involve puzzles, monster encounters and managing the ever growing suspicion of the villagers back home, who are convinced the dark omens and constant unnatural happenings are the work of a witch. And Elise, outsider that she is, becomes a suspect rather quickly.
On top of managing not to starve by doing odd-jobs, Elise can also spend her free time hanging out with three special girls. These three girls will grow closer to Elise across the game and one way or another, might even confess their love for her.
But for Elise her future may come down to choosing between her dream or her love...
The game features 10 major endings, of which only 3 are considered happy. There is no true ending according to the devs, although one of the bad endings leads into an AU sequel. To get all the lore of the game and find out the truth you will have to get all the endings and find all the Golden Maidens across the levels. It's quite challenging even for more experienced players. Outside of that 100% completion the game is quite managable, especially after it was patched to be much easier.
Yuri content:
Elise and her love interests are all lesbians and you can date them across the game, choosing one to be Elise's special someone. Failure to get any girl to love Elise actually spells doom for her. But even then, whether there is a happy ending for the couple is entirely up to your choices.
Will you follow fate and choose the gentle young witch Rozenmarine?
Will you follow your heart to your childhood friend, the lovely nun Lebkuchen?
Or will you fall in love with the clumsy romance attempts of Elise's childhood bully turned friend, Freya?

The Elevator Game with Catgirls
Synopsis:
The Elevator Game is a ritual that is said to give the player access to another world by following a strict set of rules.
Motivated by a bet made with her classmate, Asahi's girlfriend Kirin decides to give the game a try. As Asahi waits outside of the building that Kirin chose to perform the ritual in, she starts to experience some confusing and unexplainable things...
Kirin fails to return that day, or the day after. Feeling somehow guilty as though Kirin's disappearance might be her fault, Asahi determines to try and find her missing girlfriend... by playing the Elevator Game herself.
Will your choices help find her?
Recommendation:
Asahi's quest to find her girlfriend and solve the mystery of the elevator to another world is delivered in a sketchy and moody arstlye, with intentionally jarring 3D modeled objects to add more unnerving foreigness to the game. The music is eerie, the vocal track haunting and the voice acting, while amateur at times, really conveys a gritty realness that enhances the experience more than it detracts from it.
The puzzles are not too hard for most people, but there are moments where you might get stuck. There are no dead-man-walking situations or softlocks though, so you will surely eventually advance. Snap decisions with choice timers will occasionally appear, so never get too comfortable.
Whether you will make it to the end to find out the truth is really dependent on your skill more than anything.
Yuri content:
Asahi starts out already in a relationship with Kirin, a sweet young love. Their personalities contrast heavily, but that doesn't make their feelings any less real. Asahi's desperate quest to find Kirin is the main motivation of the game, but whether you can get your happy ending is a mystery you will have to solve yourself.

Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical
Synopsis:
In a modern fantasy world, college dropout Grace is granted the power of a Muse - power she’ll need to find out the truth behind her predecessor’s death before time runs out. You’ll decide who Grace allies with, who she can trust, and who may betray her in this beautifully hand-illustrated roleplaying musical.
Written by David Gaider comes Stray Gods - an urban fantasy tale of finding your place, taking charge of your fate, and discovering answers. Your choices will change the endings, as well as the path you take to get there.
Recommendation:
Stray Gods is more musical than roleplaying game, let's get this out of the way. It could have honestly been an animated movie and would have been just as entertaining. But it is a game and it does give you agency in picking some things. Your allies, your romance option and of course... the color of your songs.
Music comes in several colors that decide the mood, giving the soundtrack basically three different versions. That adds some replayability. Having different romance options and different outcomes to some scenes depending on which way you choose to take it is also appreciated. Whether you find the mystery's conclusion compelling is of course subjective. At least the romance is nice no matter what. Speaking of milage may vary content, the songs themselves are a bit all over the place. Many love them, some find them unappealing. Not every song can be a hit, but when all songs double as exposition you can perhaps tell why some may not be lyrically outstanding.
There is a major story DLC focused on Orpheus, a male protagonist, so you can skip it.
Yuri content:
Grace's two female romance options are her best friend Freddie and the daunting butch Persephone. As lovers they are vastly different and really color the experience quite differently. I especially recommend doing the blue version of Persephone's couple song.

Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection
Synopsis:
What would you do to bring back someone you love?
"Legend says that, deep within these mountains, a heretic decided to violate the will of the gods in order to achieve eternal life.
The heretic succeeded in this aberrant attempt, and created a tool for forbidden rituals that could grant immortality… and even bring back the dead.
Over the years and centuries many have tried to get that power for themselves, but all they found in the Necromancer’s crypt was their demise.
They say that the tool the Necromancer created is also a weapon… The Sword of the Necromancer.”
Join Tama, a former bandit turned bodyguard, as she fights to bring her beloved Koko back to life. Armed with the forbidden power of the Sword of the Necromancer, Tama must descend into a dungeon filled with dangers and mysteries, facing deadly foes and difficult decisions.
Recommendation:
A remake of a classic yuri game, Resurrection is a total reimagining of Sword of the Necromancer. While the original was a isometric 2D pixel game, the remake is fully 3D and improves on most mechanics completely. Taming/resurrecting monsters is much more fluid and useful now that you can program their behaviour and combine your own comabt tactics with theirs. It's a fast paced action game that lets you still play strategically, with an immense variety of enemies and bosses.
The game adds more story content and cutscenes that elaborate on the lore and situation of the original tale. Another new addition are the roguelite elements like procedurally generated dungeons and monster variety on different runs. There is even a proper roguelite challenge mode.
The game may feel overwhelming at first, but the learning curve isn't especially high. It will probably still be challenging for gaming newcomers though. But reviving Tama's girlfriend is worth the struggle!
Yuri content:
A girl figting armies of monsters and demons to revive her girlfriend from the dead: Is there anything more yuri than this? If you win you get the girl. It's a law of classic video-gaming.

HADES 2
Synopsis:
As the immortal Princess of the Underworld, you'll explore a bigger, deeper mythic world, vanquishing the forces of the Titan of Time with the full might of Olympus behind you, in a sweeping story that continually unfolds through your every setback and accomplishment.
Recommendation:
HADES 2 is a sequel that impresses, doubling down and expanding on the extremely popular first HADES game, this time around with a female protagonist, Melinoe. Just like the first title's Zagreus, she is a completely original character imagine for this alternate version of Greek mythology. Her quest to stop the Titan of Time from breaking out of hades and taking over the world escalates the stakes immensely.
Infuse your legendary weapons of Night with ancient magick, so that none may stand in your way. Become stronger still with powerful Boons from more than a dozen Olympian gods, from Apollo to Zeus. There are nearly limitless ways to build your abilities. The face paced action will demand a lot of tirla and error, build up of skill and most of all: patience.
But with each run you get a little better and some things will stay permanent, like your story progress and your relationships with the other mythological characters.
Yuri content:
Melinoe, much like her cousin, swings both ways and this time she got two female love interests who are quite wild and untamed, just like her. Nemesis, aspect of vengeance and retribution has a sort of rivalry going with Meli, but she respects her as a warrior and feels more connected to her than to her other relatives. She could very well have been the one to take on the same quest, had she been chosen.
Eris, aspect of strige, is a constant source of chaos, who knows how to have a good time, but also knows no restraint. Her devil-may-care attitude is something Meli is drawn to like a moth to the flame.

Life is Strange: True Colors
Synopsis:
Alex Chen has long suppressed her 'curse': the supernatural ability to experience, absorb and manipulate the strong emotions of others, which she sees as blazing, colored auras.
When her brother dies in a so-called accident, Alex must embrace her volatile power to find the truth – and uncover the dark secrets buried by a small town.
Recommendation:
True Colors, made by a different dev team than the original Life is Strange or its mediocre seaurl Life is Strange 2, is an outlier. It very much wants to be its own thing, while continuing the anthology theme don'tnod had set up. Squeenix attempt at doing a new Life is Strange were mostly successful and with hindsight, much better than what happened when they tried to do a proper sequel to Life is Strange 1 with Double Exposure. But just to be clear, the games are not connected. This is a standalone tale.
So what sets this installment apart? In many ways its the reverse LiS. Instead of an art school in the bustling city, True Colors takes place in the countryside town of Haven Springs. While Max discovered her time powers as the game went on, Alex always knew about her abilities, but suppressed them. And while Max prevented a death, Alex investigates one.
True Colors is a moody and interesting approach to the same narrative game formula and has a immersive world with a town full of secrets to explore. Interactions feel more natural than in previous entires and Alex' power allows for very unique approaches to finding information.
It's not very challenging, choices will hardly affect much in regards to how you play the game. There are different endings, but how to get them is rather obvious. It all depends on your... feelings.
Yuri content:
Alex has two potential love interests, one of them being the troubled Steph, a girl who has gone through her own recent emotional turmoil. The romance between her and Alex is treated with the appropiate weight, although the love triangle like early situation with the male love interest Ryan can be slightly grating.

Lost Record: Bloom & Rage
Synopsis:
Rewind back to the 90s and live the defining summer of four high school girls as they forge bonds through their growing friendship, their punk band, and an unexplained event that will forever change their lives.
Film your last summer in Velvet Cove playing as Swann, a quirky introvert. Get to know Nora, the rebellious firecracker; Autumn, the thoughtful leader; and Kat, enigmatic and strong-willed.
But as summer ends, so does their friendship. Twenty-seven years later, fate reunites them to confront a long-buried secret that they left behind in 1995.
Recommendation:
Bloom & Rage is the true spiritual successor to Life is Strange, created by the original dev team at don'tnod. Once again you dive into a narrative game about teenage girls in crazy circumstances that permeate the seemingly normal suburban life. Velvet Cove is a mostly idyllic place and the four girls who form a punk band and try to rebel against the "normal" have little outlet for their adventurous feelings... until they discover the abnormal.
As a narrative experience and gameplay wise Bloom and Rage is far superior to its predecessor. The acting and writing are more natural and the emotions conveyed much more intuitively. Although you play Swann, it's really the story of an ensemble cast. How decisions in their teens affect them as adults is very interesting and some paths could be completely different if only small things went differently.
The comparison to Stephen King's IT are hard to avoid. A group of children finds the supernatural and has to reunite as adults to face it again. Thankfully this time around it's not a disgusting mess of broken people and child rape. Instead Bloom and Rage seems intent on going through the experience of female adolescence and maturity through the lens of an exciting outward mystery. And with its nuanced writing, stunning presentation and beautiful OST, it certainly succeeds.
Yuri content:
Not only are several members of the group attracted to other women, there are even several outcomes that lead to romantic relationships between each other. One group member can get married to a completely unrelated woman too in the adult chapter. This is a strongly gay leaning cast, although not everyone is included in that. Who is which? Find out yourself as you forge those bonds.

Stories from Sol: The Gundog
Synopsis:
War is over. War is just beginning.
Planetary Calendar 214. Four years have passed since the end of the Solar War. Our protagonist, scarred from the loss of their crewmates in the war, is re-assigned to the Jovian patrol ship Gun-Dog as it’s dispatched with orders to investigate mysterious signals coming from the edge of Jovian Space.
Unknown to the Gun-Dog’s crew, a new danger looms deep in the ocean of stars, threatening not just the Gun-Dog but all her crew.
Take on the role of the Gun-Dog's security officer as you attempt to save the ship from an unknown assailant whilst navigating the paranoia, conspiracies and vendettas that break out amongst the crew. As camaraderie falls apart can you overcome the challenges that await?
Recommendation:
Stories from Sol is a throwback to 90s anime and old DOS and PC-98 titles. A narratively driven point and click adventre reminiscine to Policenauts and the like, even if on a smaller scale. Your choices affect the outcomes of almost everything that can happen in the game and your ending reflects these.
Presentation, music and writing are all impeccably good at evoking the nostalgic experiences of a long bygone era of games, but with the quality of life improvements of the modern day. Gundog really shines with its branching outcomes and narrative quirks, but one thing that needs to be mentioned is this: It ends on a cliffhanger. So the pay-off for some of your longerms choices will not be immediately given to you. If you are not willing to wait for a potential sequel, then avoid this game for now. As of October 2025 no sequel is in sight yet.
Yuri content:
You get to select the gender of the protagonist and she starts off in a pre-existing relationship with a girlfriend. Depending on your choices protag can be faithful or give in to the charms of other women down the line. There is even a potential one-night stand with an antagonist. Ohh.

S4U: CITYPUNK 2011 AND LOVE PUNCH
Synopsis:
S4U: CITYPUNK 2011 AND LOVE PUNCH is a text-driven adventure game powered by immersive keyboard interactions. The story is set in Castor Yard, a fictional modern city in 2011. You play as Miki, who works part-time chatting on behalf of clients, meeting a variety of people and Cyber-Life online. Create your own memories in Caster Yard through countless small and big decisions made with each keystroke.
Recommendation:
S4U is a unique narrative game that works in several astounding ways. It's immersive as few other games, taking Miki's role and making you see the world through her eyes, while you try to imitate her clients and put on different masks for different occassions. The majority of your time will be spent in chats on Miki's computer, but while this may sound somewhat boring, it is anything but. The gameplay can become chaotic and stressful very quickly, setting time limits and demanding you to pay attention to several different conversations, goals and tabs.
To what end? Miki is a architect in a dying industry, barely keeping herself afloat with her meager wage. So she took a side-job as a "Moluthpiece", someone who speaks for her clients by taking over their accounts and chats. The titular "S4U = Speak for you". While you try to fulfill the tasks given to you by clients, you will inadvertetly learn their secrets and have many choices to make. Your approach can help people or ruin their lives. They give you complete control, but your pay is dependent on your skills.
All of this is going on while society is in a modern crisis with Cyberlife, a new form of existence where humans upload their minds to the web and live as AI. Sooner or later Miki finds herself confronted with this topic whether she wants to or not.
And between those busy days, she can go outside, breathe some air, enjoy the cityscape and talk to some real life humans for once. Will she waste her hard earned money on a bunch of food and gadgets at the vending machine? The Cyberlife clerk certainly seems cute enough to convince her.
Yuri content:
First it should be mentioned that the game technically lets you pick your gender at the start of the game. But it is very clear that female Miki is canon and intended, with lots of dialogue refering to her as female regardless of what you picked.
S4U surprisingly features several romance options Two of them are women, with one being a school girl and the other a cafe owner. There is also the aforementioned Cyberlife vending machine clerk. Yes, you can romance an AI. Problem is, while the model is a woman, the clerk claims they did a personality test and it considers them male. Make of that what you will.
Note that all romances are highly missable. If you mess up a job early on you will be locked out of one romance entirely immediately. The game has many such consequences to your actions.
There is also a client who has girlfriend and whose relationship is directly dependent on your actions on her job. Help the lesbians!

Huniepop 1 & 2
Synopsis:
HP1:
You are down on your luck, no money, no job, no dates. As you try to drink your sorrows away at the local bar you run into a mysterious woman who seems to be flirting with you for some reason. Turns out the lady in question is a love fairy named Kyu and she is here to kick your ass into gear to finally have a love life! As Kyu instructs you on how to flirt with women and go on successful dates you gain the confidence to romance and hook up with many unique girls across the city and create your very own harem.
HP2:
An era of darkness and destruction draws near as an ancient evil of limitless lechery, the Nymphojinn, will soon be awoken by a cosmic super-period of unspeakable PMS. Reunite with Kyu, your old love fairy sidekick, and travel to the island of Inna De Poona to develop your double dating prowess and overcome the insatiable lust of the demonic pair.
Recommendation:
Huniepop is a series so unpologetically horny and base that it is actually admirable. It knows what it is and it does it perfectly. An honest to goodness pair of dating sims with proper stat leveling and writing down information about each girl as you go on dates. And all through the power of playing Bejeweled/Candy Crush!
The first game is a bit more intimate as you date the girls individually and get to know them. You actually start dating the girls for what seems to be the long term and they properly fall in love.
In the second game the theme is threesomes and while you still learn a lot about the women, the nature is a lot more loose as so many different pairings have to be willing to sex each other (with you almost like an extra attachment). It's the perfect summer vacation of pleasures and decadence... if the world wasn't on the line.
While the puzzle game can be somewhat challenging in the first game, especially if you play on the highest difficulty, the second game revolutionizes the whole system and adds a bunch of new mechanics, like "baggage" negative traits specific to each girl that make you play completely differently around them. Gifts have also way more varied effects on the dates. Thankfully there are several difficulties that allow you to adjust the experience to your skill level.
Due to Steam's unreliable porn policies and censorship, it is recommended to get the games pretty much anywhere else. Especially on online stores that can't take your games away from you later.
Yuri content:
You can select the protagonist's gender and it actually severely impact dialogue and descriptions. Huniepop tries very hard to make the experience actually tailored to your sex. The voicelines and writing do this in a surprisingly natural way, so you never have to doubt it. For example, one of the datable ladies is a porn actress, but when you play a female protag she will only ever talk about her lesbian pornos.
As you unlock the frisky art after sex, the player is of course never depicted, so it's mostly the women offering themselves up in poses. In HP2 due to the threesome theme there are several artworks of the dates doing each other too though.
While HP1 feels more personal, it's rarely acknowledged that these ladies are into other women outside of the self-insert protag (with some notable exceptions), but in HP2 everyone is horny for everyone, so the yuri level is technically higher.

Guild Wars 2
Synopsis:
Guild Wars 2 is an award-winning online roleplaying game with fast-paced action combat, deep character customization, and no subscription fee required. Choose from an arsenal of professions and weapons, explore a vast open world, compete in PVP modes and more.
Recommendation:
It's a long lasting MMO that upgrades the original Guild Wars mechanically (GW1 is still running too btw). It has hundreds of hours of content and lots of customisation.
Yuri content:
There is a major story arc that revolves around a lesbian couple. Though their presences in the story disappears in the latter expansions as they get happily married.
Elder Scrolls Online
Synopsis:
Every legend starts somewhere and in The Elder Scrolls Online, it starts with you. Write your story into a vibrant chapter of Tamriel’s distant past that takes place nearly 1,000 years before the iconic TES V: Skyrim, and discover a world steeped in adventure and possibility.
Recommendation:
It's the usual Bethesda game experience with a vast open world and lots of immersive combat and quests. Only now it's an MMO.
Yuri content:
Players can get married to each other regardless of gender, so there is that. There are also plenty of gay NPCs with romance related questlines and several lesbian couples. It's a huge game, so these are just small bits here and there.

Final Fantasy XIV
Synopsis:
Final Fantasy XIV is set on Hydaelyn, a fictional world of diverse environments across multiple continents, focused on the region of Eorzea.
Recommendation:
One of the most acclaimed MMOs, FFXIV has been doing well for over a decade and holds up the high gameplay and presentation standards of the Final Fantasy franchise.
Yuri content:
Marriage between players is supported and even has many benefits. There are also many important female characters with lots of romantic tension between each other, though where that will go is unclear.

Mary Skelter 2
Synopsis:
The Jail - a living prison that feeds on the humans trapped within its confines. The Jail appeared a number of years ago with the caving of the city around it.
Now twisted creatures known as Marchens and treacherous Nightmares roam its halls. Otsuu and Little Mermaid are a part of a group of humans known as "Dawn" attempting to survive these horrors. They succeed in saving Alice and a young man named Jack on one mission. However, on their return back to base, Alice goes mad and begins attacking those around her. Alice strikes Jack, who was trying to protect Otsuu and Little Mermaid, knocking them down a chasm. Later, Otsuu and Little Mermaid awaken from the fall only to find Jack on the verge of death...
And so begins the tale of escaping from fate, led by a group of girls seeking sanctuary in this mad world, and of the young man who would transform into madness itself - a Nightmare.
Recommendation:
Mary Skelter 2 is a dungeon crawler JRPG with a twisted fairy tale theme. The gameplay is competent and the story extensive, though it's rather clunky and outdated even for this ancient genre. Despite being a sequel, the game is inherently standalone. It does have the entirety of Mary Skelter Nightmares (the first game) bundled in, so you can play the first game after 2 in one go with new additional content in Nightmare's epilogue related to Otsuu and Mermaid. It is even recommended to play 2 first.
Nightmares doesn't offer anything yuri related and is basically the exact same gameplay and progression wise so there is little reason in playing it beyond getting the full story. The third game, Mary Skelter Finale, finishes the story, but has a bunch of mandatory het content and leaves Otsuu and Mermaid mostly on the sidelines, though it does give them a happy ending.
Frankly if you need to play this series, stick to MS2 exclusively and look up videos of the Otsuu/Mermaid epilogue of Finale.
Yuri content:
Otsuu and Little Mermaid's love story is the main motivation for the game and drives the plot and interactions. Their story doesn't conclude in this game, so expect a cliffhanger. The trilogy has a couple of side characters who also seem interested in other girls too.

AWAKEN - Astral Blade
Synopsis:
Awaken: Astral Blade’s narrative revolves around the bionic operative, Tania, as she is dispatched by her inventor, Dr. Herveus, to track down a missing research team lost in the dense rainforest of the Horace Islands, where a strange energy known as Karpas has transformed the local wildlife and vegetation into hostile mutants.
After battling a colossal mutant that decimated the research group, Tania uncovers the ancient remnants of Jacha City hidden deep within the jungle. There, she stumbles upon the legendary Royal Altar—the source of the mysterious and dangerous energy.
Recommendation:
Astral Blade is an outstanding Metroidvania with beautiful visuals and a surprisingly engaging story (a rarity for Metroidvanias). The combat mechanics are both seemingly easy, while also being highly customisable. Movement is swift and combos are satisfying. The audio feedback and music are nothing to write home about unfortunately though.
Tania is a very relatable and well written protagonist, exploring the world and uncoverting genuinely interesting history of the Horace islands while platforming and fighting huge bosses on the side. There aren't many NPCs around, but there is a pretty important companion that gets quite close to Tania over time, during her toughest challenges and the uncovered truth.
The game has several endings that entirely depend on your choices and completion of certain quests, so being thorough pays off. This is pretty conventional for Metroidvania storytelling, but Astral Blade's plot actually makes some impact with its endings.
Yuri content:
Tania's connections can grow quite deep, though you cannot always expect a happy conclusion. There are also some heavy implications for several women in the lore which you directly experience. Anything more would be spoilers.

Rimworld
Synopsis:
RimWorld is a story generator. It’s designed to co-author tragic, twisted, and triumphant stories about imprisoned pirates, desperate colonists, starvation and survival. It works by controlling the “random” events that the world throws at you. Every thunderstorm, pirate raid, and traveling salesman is a card dealt into your story by the AI Storyteller. There are several storytellers to choose from. Randy Random does crazy stuff, Cassandra Classic goes for rising tension, and Phoebe Chillax likes to relax.
Recommendation:
Rimworld is a colony raising/survival sim inspired by games like Dwarf Fortress. A small group of colonists crashlands on a planet in whatever area you select and has to build a home to survive in the wild. You can build fortifications, farms, electric grids, weapons and hundreds of other things. Your colonists all have specific traits that make them better or worse at certain jobs. The goal of the game depends on the scenario, expansion or events you encounter. For example, it's possible to find a beacon and call down a ship that takes you off the planet. There are dozens of ways to succeed.
The variety of events and possible ways to approach your colony are what the game excells at. The Expansions add a lot more content to the game that makes it play vastly differently if you want it to. None of the expansions are actually necessary, so don't feel obliged to buy them all. Read carefully what each offers and just pick and choose what interests you. However, for the purposes of the all-female yuri colony it is recommended to at least get the Biotech expansion, which adds more options for vat babies and lab procreation.
As is commonplace with this type of game, the modding community is absolutely insane. Whether you install them directly from sites like Nexus or if you use the Steam workshop, definitely check out some mods before you start.
Yuri content:
You can in fact make all female colonies and have all your colonists be homosexual. With the right equipment you can make children in the lab, requiring no males. It's also possible to take in female visitors or nomads who pass by your company. There is also an option for hermaphroditism if you want more "natural" offspring, but that might not appeal to purists. Make your lesbian colony succeed!

Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Exedra
Synopsis:
A place where the memories of Magical Girls illuminate the dark... The Lighthouse.
Now a girl who's lost everything has wandered into its sanctum.
Who am I...?
How did I get here...?
She will relive key moments of countless Magical Girls by opening windows into their memories... Trusting she'll one day find her own lost light of remembrance.
Recommendation:
Exedra is in essence a relaunch of Puella Madoka Magica: Magia Record, the previous Madoka gacha. It reuses most of its story content and systems, while adding a few new things. Just like its predecessor it shines in its presentation and accuracy to the original setting, balancing a multi-world story and integrating both old and new characters. It's based on Gekidan Inu Curry (Doroinu)'s ideas and got all the original anime voice actresses to reprise their roles.
The gacha serves mostly to get new characters into your combat party so you can beat dungeons and bosses with RPG combat. Higher raraity means better stats and skills. The monetization is above average on the scummy scale, but not nearly as bad as the real gambling simulators. The game can definitely be played without spending any real money. Though as higher level content comes out you will be forced to grind more and more to keep up and of course get lucky with your rolls sometimes.
Your role as the player is actually to relive memories of all these magical girls and go through both the plot of the anime as well as entirely original stories (mostly from Magia Record). This is an opportunity to dive back into the Madoka universe and enjoy expanded content for the characters you already know and love.
Yuri content:
Aside from more ship fuel for the existing Madoka pairings, the original characters present all new opportunities for yuri. Many of the new girls are involved in heavy yuri subtext and in some cases clearly actually in love.

Heaven Burns Red
Synopsis:
This is the tale of the girls bearing humanity's last hope.
Besieged by mysterious life-forms known as "the Cancer," Earth teeters on the brink of ruin. All human weaponry proved futile against the Cancer's onslaught, and without any means to fight back, humanity has been forced to retreat. Land was forsaken, and nations were erased in the ensuing chaos. Now, over half of the Earth's surface has been lost to the Cancer.
With little time left and the danger of extinction looming, humans developed a brand-new, ultimate weapon called "Seraph," and those endowed with Seraphim can finally fight against the Cancer with vigor. Those who can master their Seraphim are gathered to create a special squadron, becoming humanity's last beacon of hope. They have one thing in common: they are all girls with special talents. Among them stands Ruka Kayamori, poised to throw herself into the war against the Cancer.
Recommendation:
An original work by Jun Maeda (writer and composer of many popular Key VNs, Key and Wright Flyer Studio, Heaven Burns red is a pseudo-JRPG in gacha form with masterpiece level music, hundreds of hours of emotional and fun writing and a variety of side-modes to enjoy. One of its major features is that every single line of dialogue and narration is voice acted by a stellar voice cast. Boss battles are grand set pieces, the rhythm mode is very reminiscent of idol games or Guitar Hero and the artworks are all high quality.
What sets Heaven Burns Red apart is most definitely its story which can compete with the best visual novels, while also having a lot of humor. There is also an absurd amount of detail and variation in its scenarios and main hub. The kind where going the wrong way on purpose can trigger unique dialogue repeatedly or where your choices are tracked to lead to funny unique reactions.
The game is mainly split betweent he "main story" and "story events". The main story are big chunk ofr 12-18 hour content and the monthly event stories are between 2-4 hours each. A newcomer will be overwhelmed by the sheer amount of quality content. It should be mentioned that fans of the game say the play order is not very well curated by the devs, so one should follow a guide about what content to play when.
The combat is servicable, nothing special for gacha or JRPGs, but it is an okay time waster. It's fun to see all the ultimate attacks and weird enemy designs and the boss battles are all cinematic and cool. The gacha is entirely focused on rolling for new units and style for said units, so it's pretty focused. It's completely playable F2P as the story and events are not particularly hard to beat as long as one properly equips their units. It could get slightly grindy if the combat doesn't click with you.
Yuri content:
Ruka Kayamori, the protagonist, is a stated lesbian. Many other characters at the base are also openly into girls, to the point where it can be assumed the whole base is into womern. There are several girls with openly romantic feelings and a lot of ship building. Even a few confessions. There is also one character with an honest-to-goodness harem of girls she is in a sexual relationship with.
But as it is a slowburn story, romantic pairings will not come to fruition quickly. And as this is a nakige in a post-apocalyptic world, there is never a guarantee for a happy ending.

Reverse 1999
Synopsis:
On the last day of 1999, the "Storm" fell upon the world. You witnessed an era reversed beneath the rising raindrops. Defying all reasons, what unfolds in front of you is the world of an era long past.
As the Timekeeper, observer of eras, you are free to travel through these eras after each "Storm." With the aid of Sonetto, a powerful Arcanist and ally from the Foundation, your mission is to travel through eras to where the "Storm" is most active, find other Arcanists who can sense the coming "Storm," and save them from being "sifted out" of the timeline.
Recommendation:
Reverse 1999 is a beautifully crafted story about a time warden trying to preserve what she can in a volatile world where time storms erase what shouldn't exist between time. Originally set in England with a mysterious organisation that keeps watch over the phenomena in her neck, our protagonist Vertin is slowly uncovering the truth of her reality and making her own choices that will drastically change the world. It also has many well crafted side-scenarios outside the main story, that focuses on the side-cast.
It's a game that is truly focused on its story and presentation. From the well crafted CGs and sprites, to the orchestral music and and the shockingly good English dubbed voice acting (which is optional), it excells at it all. It's turn based card battler mechanics are slightly less impressive and very ba the numbers. The gacha serves to roll for new characters and styles as well as supplementary resources. The in game currency is rather sparse and slow to grind unfortunately.
The translation used to be shoddy, which led to some negative reviews and impressions, but these are outdated. The game did a full clean-up of its early chapter translation and voice acting to reflect the later chapters' quality.
Yuri content:
Although the game teeters mostly on subtext, there are girls who are openly attracted to other women and the story even features an off-screen kiss between two important characters (I won't spoil who). Though there are worries due to it being a Chinese game, the censorship seems very low and it gets a lot of gay moments.

Granblue Fantasy
Synopsis:
There exists a world in which islands of all shapes and sizes float in a sea of clouds. This is a world forsaken by the gods.
A long time ago, beings known as the Astrals attempted to seize control of this world with their overwhelming power. However, the citizens of the skies, the Skydwellers, successfully resisted. The world once again entered a time of peace.
Presently, our hero is about to embark on a journey after receiving a letter from her missing father. Accompanying her is Vyrn, a rather peculiar family member who happens to be a winged lizard. Despite Vyrn's objections, our hero prepares to leave her home of Zinkenstill when the mysterious island is suddenly engulfed in flames.
The fleet of the burgeoning Erste Empire wreaks havoc from the skies above.
Amidst the chaos, a chance encounter with a mysterious girl named Lyria awakens the fallen dragon of the stars, who unleashes a roar of revival.
Recommendation:
Granblue Fantasy is an ancient collossus of a gacha, over a decade old and still going. This age brings with it an enormous amount of content, but also many outdated and antiquated systems and inconveniences. If you want to play it on your PC rather than your phone you will have to play it in a browser. The art of the game is distinct and pretty, very similar to Cygames' other output and there are many crossovers between their other games. A lot of popular or well known characters from the extended universe appear in GBF, like Anne and Grea from their dead gacha Rage of Bahamut. If you get attached to the GBF cast, they also appear as cards in the online TCG Shadowverse.
The gacha revolves around rolling weapons/gear and summons. Certain weapons unlock new characters or their new SSRs. The rates are abyssmal and for the late game content you need to get some good parry members. But by the time you make it there you probably rolled quite a lot as a new player. In game currency is hard to come by, but you get enough rewards for simple progression. Grinding is unavoidable as was common with these oldschool gacha.
Aside from the main story there are many sub-events that revolve around the cast. There are also special personal events for each character that can be unlocked alongside their SSRs. The game has easily several hundred hours of content to enjoy.
And then there are the spin-off games, like Granblue Fantasy Versus, a figthing game made by Arcsys. And Relink, which is an action RPG. There have also been several anime adaptations, some of which loosely follow the game's plot, but except for one spin-off they are all focused on male protagonists.
Yuri content:
You can pick a female protagonist, Djeeta. She gets some occasional flirting and Valentines and Christmas home lines with female characters. There are also several heavily teased yuri ships in the cast, some of which are close to explicit. There are certainly several girls that are openly into women, like Vira, a major plot related character who is obssessed with Katalina from the main hero group.
The first ever on-screen kiss in the entire game was a yuri kiss between a toxic yuri ship. The ship is Cupitan/Tristette
To get to the canon yuri will take a long, long time. It was a comparatively recent development.

D4DJ
Synopsis:
The words that have connected generations across time.
"D4 FES", a DJ festival that is the stuff of legends. Inspired by this festival, Japan too experiences a new dawn in DJ culture.
As DJs becomes the main method for people to experience music, performers called "DJ Units" have begun to appear.
As a culture that can be enjoyed by anyone, young or old, DJing has become an indispensable music genre. And now, 6 new DJ Units set their sights on this floor.
The story of these girls aiming for the greatest moment begins!
Recommendation:
D4DJ is the quintessential rhythm game gacha, rivaling Love Live and Project Sekai. It revolves around several core groups of idols/DJs who compete for dominance on the charts. Occasionally a new group is added. The game's gacha is focused on getting new versions of the DJ girls ranked by their star rarity. They can be leveled up with items and exp you earn for performing well on the rhythm game across the many songs. There are several modes beyond just the basic rhythm game, including multiplayer and even remixing tracks yourself in DJ mode.
The game is only officially available as an app on mobile phones and tablets, but you can emulate it through software like Bluestacks.
The story is divided by groups and has both main story segments and events for the individual girls. They are either about their struggles to rise to the top of the performance world or about slice of life situations between the members. With an abundance of characters and events there will be a lot of playtime.
All the music in the game is performed by real life singers who make characters albums. Even if you don't want to play the game, I still recommend listening to some of the amazing music on spotify or other music streaming platforms. It's very good if you like JPOP and electro music. There is a lot of variety between the many groups.
Yuri content:
D4DJ stands out in one regard, which is that it has one canon yuri couple, something unheard of in rhythm game gacha. Unichord's Kokoa and Hayate have been dating for a short while now (since before the start of the story) and have many events that revolve around their relationship. It's treated seriously and emotionally and they are insanely cute together. Unichord is not one of the initial main groups, so they got comparatively less content, but they still have been around or a while.
There are many other girls in the cast that show attraction to girls as well, though there are no other set couples for now.
