Witch & Lillies
Synopsis:
The bonds between girls will be the key to adventure!
Witch and Lilies is a unique RPG that combines immersive dungeon crawler elements with a romantic relationship sim! Form a party of five from a selection of ten unique job classes, and conquer the labyrinth left behind by the witch of world creation, all while nurturing the relationships between the girls.
Recommendation:
Witch & Lillies is a very ambitious indie DRPG with a heavy yuri theme. Girls power up by falling in love with each other, party members can go on dates and also get into jealous love triangles and all that while exploring a cursed dungeon with horrific monstrous enemies turned by the witch.
As of August 2025 this game is still in Early Access. It is entirely completable, with all its story finished, but the devs want to make adjustments, add more classes and improve that game overall. It could be said that Witch & Lillies still lacks polish, but it certainly has a lot of meat on its bones as is. The dungeon exploration is just as cruel and challenging as the Wizardry titles of old, but with a few moderen QoL additions to make it more digestable.
The story is sparse, yet interesting enough. You form your adventure party with the power of a fairy you saved and create a group of lesbians to conquer the pillar dungeon in the center of the city. It is a seebed for evil witches, adventurer girls turned monstrous and countless traps. You have a rival party leader who wants to obtain glory before you can and over time many secrets of the dungeon will be revealed.
Why would an adventurer brave these unknown horros though? Because it is said that if one conquers the dungeon, they will be granted a wish.
Yuri content:
As every party mechanic revolves around girls loving girls, it is an all around yuri experience. However, the nature of the game is that your party members have generated personality types that interact with each other. These are not handcrafted romances, they are more parameters that determine how the girls will act with each other. Most of the variety comes from the many classes and designs interacting with different personalities. The dates are rather limited and automated, making it hard to influence who dates who beyond using them in the same party.
Still the power of yuri helps you succeed your quest and that is always good.

Fire Emblem: Engage
Synopsis:
In a war against the Fell Dragon, four kingdoms worked together with heroes from other worlds to seal away this great evil. One-thousand years later, this seal has weakened and the Fell Dragon is about to reawaken. As a Divine Dragon, use rich strategies and robust customization to meet your destiny—to collect 12 Emblem Rings and bring peace back to the Continent of Elyos.
Recommendation:
Fire Emblem Engage rode the high of Fire Emblem Three Houses and came out soon after. While it is universally agreed upon that it had major improvements on the combat system and level design, it is also known as the Fire Emblem with one of the worst stories.
In essence it's an ensemble game featuring many of the protagonists of previous FE titles. These 12 Ring Bearers (emblem ring holders) are essential to the plot, but their portrayal differs a lot from their own games. For the protagonists with a selectable gender the devs just picked one, which means there is a female Corrin, but a male Byleth. This is also the first time Byleth gets to have a personality, so it's extra unfortunate that they made him a guy.
As mentioned, the combat is vastly more interesting than in prior games of the Fire Emblem renaissance, which makes it at least worth playing even if the story is groanworthy. The characters interactions and Supports, as well as the romance are equally wieghed down by the writing, but at least same sex romance is ubiquitous, a good lesson they learned from FE:3H.
Yuri content:
Alear ("lovingly" dubbed Toothpaste by the community for her hair) is the new main protagonist, who has the ability to romance the new party members after unlocking the Pact Ring. She can romance other women, although with the context of the plot this is a bit more complicated than usual, so there is no marriage per se. There is also no romance between the characters outside of that. Alear is the only character capable of romancing someone due to her Pact Ring. So it's a one & done situation. Pick wisely.
The English version of the game censored a lot, like making one of the romances platonic, because the girl looks like a child or making a bunch of other romantic S supports more ambiguous. If you can read Japanese, maybe get the JP version for the full experience (No, the story isn't just bad because of the translation, it actually sucks in JP too, but at least it's not censoring random things). Alternatively you can also get the English Uncensor Patch here (again, this is just fixing the translation to be accurate to the JP version).

Keylocker
Synopsis:
In a silent world where music is outlawed, play as a singer to shatter the strings of fate and sing the melody of freedom in this unforgiving Turn Based Rhythm JRPG.
Keylocker is a Cyberpunk turn based rhythm JRPG inspired by the Mario&Luigi RPG series and Chrono Trigger, in which you play as the singer and songwriter, B0B0. Fuel your moves with the electric power of music in this unforgiving planet by using real-time execution of moves in rhythm game style! Battle the authorities, unlock the secrets of Saturn, play on your own bands' concerts and hack into the network to bring an end to this corrupt system, for better or worse.
Recommendation:
The game excells at presentation and atmosphere, with somewhat quirky writing that revels in Cyberpunk themes and crass humor. Gameplay is refreshing and very customisable, just like music should be. There is so much lore, dialogue and text that it feels like half a Visual Novel sometimes, but when you discover secrets in a natural way just by being curious it's the best.
There's a significant amount of optional party members/companions to find and join the band, of which a lot are actually romancable now, depending on your choices and path of course. The initial line-up of lovers was a bit sparse, but since then there has been a major free update that added a bunch more.
Yuri content:
A big chunk of love interests for B0B0 are female and while romance isn't always easy to achieve, if you commit to it then it can be quite amazing. The denizens of Saturn are all unique and odd, but you still have a lot of the usual tropes among the lovers, like the punk girl or the upper class lady. Just try to avoid getting too close to male characters, lest you accidentally end up with them.

Gales of Nayeli
Synopsis:
Follow Nayeli as she travels across Iuven on her way to face the tyrant, Bloodlust. Along the way, she will meet victims of Bloodlust’s reign lead the last charge against a darkness that echoes across time and space.
Recommendation:
Gales of Nayeli is a Grid-Based Strategy RPG featuring 40+ playable characters. It's an SRPG in the vein of Fire Emblem and might even have started out as a romhack for the series, but became its own thing. It's gameplay is not revolutionary, but it shows the refined experience of a well established genre and it takes some ideas from the more creative romhacks and gives you good customisation of units. The pixel art animations are quite good too.
On the writing side it is slightly better than the average SRPG fare and the character interactions and supports are quite fun, sometimes even moving. The romances are particularly cute, even if the game lacks a lot of supports that are supposed to get patched in over time.
Yuri content:
There are several possible yuri pairings to the point where you can make most of your active units lesbian pairings. Nayeli herself has many romance options, two of them other women. You choose her love interest relatively early in the game (around halfway through) and then it is integrated into the story, similar to a route in a Visual Novel. However, the plot is more focused on other things, so the romance gets sidelined a lot.
As is standard for FE-likes, there are ending slides in the epilogue that summarize what happened to the pairings after the story, which gives some insight on the yuri marriages.

After I Met That Catgirl, My Questlist Got Too Long!
Synopsis:
While on a patrol mission, Vera sees a thunderbolt hit the Elder Tree in the forest. Curious about the mysterious phenomenon - the sky is clear, after all - she approaches the location.
...wait, what is a catgirl doing there? And why does she claim to come from another world called 'London'? Everybody knows the world is called Morpheya.
Recommendation:
CatQuestlist is one of the more unique RPGmaker games, with its own unique mechanics, artstyle and world map. It features a lot of cool ideas you rarely see and has 5 distinct routes that actually change the story path a lot. It is most definitely an underrated gem.
While the gameplay is adaptable to the player's skill level, making it an easy entry for newcomers (also helped by its great New Game+ feature that immediately sets you on another love interest's route and skips the tutorial quests), it also has some heavy story themes that may not be easy to stomach for everyone. Overall the game is full of humor and genuine emotions though, which is what really matters. The story has some great twists and nothing may be exactly as it seems in Morpheya.
If you want a suggestion in which order to play the routes, it would be Tea > Sunny/Reniel > Celia > Lyra.
Yuri content:
Both the romances and sexual content are entirely yuri focused. While not all of the girls are lesbians, the game does only focus on that aspect of their sexuality. There are also both lesbian and het quest characters in the side-content, so it's a mixed world in that regard.
WARNINGS:
-If you want to stick to the purest yuri experience, do not play Lyra's route (or get the "bad" ending). It is not necessary to understand or enjoy the game.
-Though again, ALL sexual content in the game is yuri only, there is one OPTIONAL sex scene with Sunny where she can suggest to use a potion to become a futanari. Just say no and they will just cuddle and not do it, because the game actually cares about the player's preferences.

UsoNatsu
Synopsis:
“Love can so easily turn people into liars.”
On a hill overlooking the sea is Minatocho’s Aoba Dai-ichi High School. One night, 2nd year student, Tachibana Kaoru is completely heartbroken by her middle school homeroom teacher, Shimotsuki Mirei. That scene is also seen by Minagi Shiori, a model student who is also in Kaoru’s class. In state of despondence, Kaoru opens up to Shiori about her past with Mirei.
After listening intently to Kaoru’s story, Shiori, with a mysterious air about her, poses a question.
“Instead of forgetting someone you cared about… do you think it’s possible to simply overwrite those memories with different ones?”
“I’m not sure if it’s truly possible or not, but I might have to try something like that if I’m going to get over her.”
Recommendation:
UsoNatsu - The Summer Romance that Bloomed from a Lie is one of the most high quality yuri visual novel of the 2020s. Art, animated CGs, music and writing are all top notch. It's decent length and focused cast make it rather memorable.
At the center of the story is a complicated square of relationships that sometimes strays into love trianlge territory, but ultimately it is about Kaoru and Shiori's blooming romance that develops from their initial attempt to forget about those who mattered most to them and left them behind in one way or another. For one its the expression of her lesbian feelings, for the other it is seeking the comfort of an equal. Adding to the emotion of the story is the superb voice acting of the entire cast.
The game initially had some performance issues on some systems due to its engine, but patches have mostly fixed that. Some people's computers might still experience stutter for the animated CGs though.
Since the initial release a canon voice drama has been made available for DLC, with complete subtitles. It is worth getting after completing the game if you want more UsoNatsu!
Yuri content:
All the girls/women in this story are attracted to women and seek relationships, although the tangle of feelings makes a lot of their situations complicated. Without spoiling too much, several romances can bloom in this story.

Starlight Vega
Synopsis:
After moving into her grandfather’s old house, Aria and her best friend Melody accidentally unleash the flirtatious demon, Lyria, who spent the past fifty years in a stone. They are faced with the truth that magic is real and that there is a parallel world full of demons that has been separated from the human realm centuries ago.
Unfortunately Lyria was bound to Aria via a soul stone the moment she was freed, which causes her to feel intense pain if she makes too much physical distance from her. So she has no choice but to stick with the human girls and together they have to find a way to separate their soul bond and send Lyria back home to her own world where Queen Scherza awaits with even greater troubles.
Recommendation:
Starlight Vega might be razzarts' best work by far. The writing is the most fleshed out and interesting out of all their works and it has the same signature writing hook that makes you want to see more of the game's particular world.
The choice tree is actually quite complex and getting the harem ending is only possible after beating all three routes (and even then it is hard to get). The game has plenty of choice based bad endings and some surprising flexibility in entering certain routes.
The game has a mediocre amount of CGs. The artstyle’s quality is subjective, but it also has a definitive ‘indie’ feel to it. The sprites are basic, but serviceable. There is no voice acting (whether that is a pro or a con is personal preference).
Yuri content:
The VN tackles same-sex relationships like they are normal for demons, so there is no conflict on that side (Aria being human is more of a challenge to be honest). With Melody there is more of a history as they are childhood friends and their love is more conventionally based on human society.
All three heroines are unique and have their own routes, so there is a lot to explore with them. The story justifies its harem ending pretty quickly by having some triangle dynamics in other routes too that make clear Aria is a bit indecisive and capable of loving several girls at once. That is not to say she isn’t loyal and exclusive once she actually enters a route. You can play the game entirely with a laser focus on each heroine.

Lonely Yuri
Synopsis:
First with a kiss... the girl is etched in the protagonist's mind. It was the first year in high school. The budding of summer. Fusa Konno met a shut-in girl named Seri. Persecuted by her yearning eyes, her heart gradually opened.
Recommendation:
Lonely Yuri was originally released in 2011 by Yoru no Hitsuji and is considered an indie classic. In many ways it conforms to the indie tropes of the time, with sparse art, photographs used as background images and text on the screen rather than dialogue boxes. The vibe is thus very similar to old VNs like Seabed. Unlike Seabed however, Lonely Yuri is a story about healing and changing perspective. Its narrative is entirely confined to the two protagonists, Fusa and Seri, never straying from their small bubble and relationship.
The writing is what draws the player in, but beyond that it has not much else. Do not expect voice acting or intricate BGMs or complex choices with consequences. Just the pure yuri between two lonely girls.
Yuri content:
It's the entire focus of the story of course, but in more detail the honor student Fusa who feels trapped in her current circumstances in life and the hikkikomori who is somehow also an extrovert, Seri, seem completely at ods personality wise. Yet both of them habor their own particular loneliness that they need to overcome by changing the way they lead their lives. Fusa meets Seri by coincidence, but once they connect there is no force that can pull them apart again. It is a very sweet, if slightly melancholic love story.
