i am the #1 squid game autist ever. ive been a superfan since september 17th, 2021. this day changed my life forever. squid game makes me incredibly happy and i will take every single chance i can get to write essays upon essays about it.
anyways I LAUV LAUV LAUVVVVVV DAEHO SO MUCH i miss him so bad i look at tiger pictures on pinterest and add them to my board of him and i watch videos of tigers because his name means "big tiger". my chokehold on that is incredibly tight and im not letting go tigers are absolutely awesome. wanna know whats even MORE awesome? daeho!!!! even though the series doesn't directly state it he IS a representation of mentally ill/unstable people or pwptsd.
based on the fact he never actually went in the marines BUT he did do this some sort of program where you receive military training, but the program is made for mentally unwell people. after they do the program, they're stationed in places like subway stations to assist people.
whatever it is he has or whatever went down between him and his father was really bad and traumatizing for him. because he has 4 sisters and he did bring up (if i remember correctly, something i mix things up) how his father didn't want him getting feminine because of his sisters. that's one reason why his dad wanted him to join the marines so badly.
the second reason is because military service is the expectation for men in korean social culture and it often is very pressuring. based on whats known about his father i can conclude that his dad is obviously the toxic masculinity type unfortunately.
to explain the reason why he reacted to the gunshots that way during the rebellion, one of two things
