Brief Overview

Suzuhara Kaigun Kosho (鈴原海軍工廠) is one of the most important naval arsenals in the Empire. It is one of the so-called "Big Six", along with Kure, Marinsaki, Suzuka, Toyahama, Yashiro and Yokosuka Naval Arsenals. It is also the largest of the "Big Six" itself, given that it not only represents Suzuhara City, but that it also contains the other large port within the Ryokugyoku Bay, Helesta.

It was formally founded in 3425 (991) upon the reorganisation of the Imperial Navy into its current form by integrating the private military dockyards of both cities, along with the naval arms production of them, into one entity owned by the Imperial Navy itself. The existing facilities were already rather extensive but have grown far larger over the years with the increasing demands of the Imperial Navy, and the ability of Suzuhara K.K. to keep up with said demands. As of 3573 (1140): the military drydocks, and shipyards of Suzuhara, Helesta, and their "children" are some of the largest in the entire world and many of the Imperial Western Fleet's capital ships come from the sisters.

More information about Suzuhara, Helesta, and the Ryokugyoku Bay can be found here.
