Convert your post-nut clarity into pre-nut clarity

Everyone faces the dreadful post nut clarity which is the feeling of instant regret, shame, and guilt the moment you finish your session. It won't be any different than the hundreds of other times you've failed. Of course that rationality disappears as soon as one gets an urge or temptation.

Instead if you get an urge or temptation just try to picture in vivid detail the scene after you relapse.

  • The moment you release, you instantly close your 15 tabs in utter disgust and shame
  • As you were closing the tabs, you are in complete disbelief that you got off to such depraved material. A picture of a woman in a swimsuit was enough once upon a time
  • You look at the clock and realize an hour just went by searching for the perfect video with the perfect scene to spill you seed to. If asked in a week what that scene was you would not remember it.
  • You go to the bathroom to clean yourself up. You flush down the toilet your seed filled toilet paper or tissue with complete shame. Finishing inside your loving wife would have resulted in a completely opposite experience but instead you watch as the toilet absorbs your seed into the abyss for the hundredth time.
  • You go back to your room and get hit with a nasty smell of sweat and your seed. Imagine what your family smelt when they walk into your room.
  • You notice some sweat marks on your chair and you wipe it off.
  • You open your window to let in some fresh air. It was a nice day out, could have went for a walk or did some pullups and pushups at the park. Tomorrow you say to yourself.
  • You vow to yourself to never fall into this again. The brain fog surfaces again and a feeling of predictable lethargy.
  • You go browse some of your usual sites to distract yourself from the anger and regret.
  • You come across a provocative thumbnail and you click
  • Another hour later you just repeated the same mistake
  • You already relapsed earlier so it's not that big of a deal you try to delude yourself
  • You feel like a drained sponge now and can't wait for the day to be over to start fresh tomorrow morning
  • You will start a new chapter tomorrow you vow to yourself. A new beginning. A strong will

Two techniques to handle urges

First Technique

When the sexual-system of the body is stimulated, ejaculation of semen takes place. The following method checks this undesired stimulation quite effectively.

Whenever a sexual desire arises in the mind and your attention moves towards the genital organ, be alert and quickly contract the genitals in towards the belly just like the piston of a pump while focusing your attention on the genital organ. This is called yoni mudra. Then shut your eyes. Meditate, "Now I am looking from the base of the sexual centre up towards the sahasrara chakra." Seminal energy has the tendency to flow towards the point (organ) where the mind is focused. If you focus the mind on the sahasrara chakra, the bioelectric energy which would have otherwise been instrumental in causing ejaculation by activating the mooladhara chakra, will be sublimated towards the sahasrara chakra and transmuted into ojas. But beware! If the mind still desires sexual pleasure during this experiment, then you will not succeed in preserving your seminal energy. But if you practise this for a few days with discrimination and a strong will, you will begin to get the rewards before long. You will clearly experience that even though the sexual desire came with the force of a storm, it subsided within a few seconds once this technique was applied.

Second Technique

Whenever a strong sexual desire arises, apply moolabandha and uddiyanabandha, then exhale all the air from your lungs and hold the breath out. The more you can exhale the better. By repeating this technique two to three times, your passion will subside and you will be saved from an impending seminal discharge.

Although this technique appears to be simple, it is a very important Yogic manoeuvre. The air inhaled in the process of normal breathing pushes the bio-electric energy downwards. When this air is forcefully exhaled, it fails to activate the sexual centre at the mooladhara chakra. Moreover, the subsequent contraction of the belly and the navel creates a vacuum in the stomach, and the energy accumulated around the sex-centre rushes towards the navel to fill this vacuum. Thus there is no more energy left to activate the sexual centre and thereby ejaculation is prevented.

This technique can be practised at any place and requires no extra expenditure. Moreover, it can also be practised regularly even if there is no sexual stimulation. It provides excellent benefits. The digestive fire is stimulated, abdominal disorders are cured, life becomes effulgent and the seminal energy is naturally preserved.

How to Resist Urges

  1. The urge is not the issue, it's how you react to the urge and build your own trap.

Many people complain about strong urges but these urges are brought on by themselves. Urges alone barely decrease your level of calm and are not a problem, they go away quickly. However what many people do when they get an urge is to fantasize, and further increase tension in their mind. Or they do some seemingly innocent acts like scroll down Instagram or read a manga that could contain some arousing imagery while befooling themselves that what they're doing is innocent. Whatever it is you are doing to keep yourself aroused, it is preparing you for failure and you are already greasing the PMO water slide. I have made an illustration to help you better understand this.

After fantasizing for a while, you've built a lot of tension and likely think to yourself "if I PMO, this tension from the urge will just go away and I'll feel so good!" Except the urge didn't cause the tension, you made it yourself just so you could PMO and get the illusion of pleasure. Don't trick yourself by doing 'innocent things' that increase your sexual tension. They seem innocent but cause a chain reaction leading to a peek and it's all downhill from there. Doing stuff like that is the same as banging your head against a wall just so you can feel relieved when you stop.

  1. Realize that lowering your calm by arousing yourself is inferior in every way to just keeping your baseline level of calm

Think back on how you feel when you are in that 'aroused' state of mind and compare it to how you feel when you are calm. It feels worse in every way! All you're feeling is panicked, anxious, and it's accompanied by a dizzying sensation in the head (at least for me), there's nothing good about feeling that way. The only reason you would keep yourself in that state is that you want to build tension to make the PMO monster's offer seem more enticing! To get a feeling of release you need to have tension, it's better to just not create tension in the first place since you don't have to. It's like you're wearing tight shoes on purpose to get a feeling of pleasure when u take them off as the book says Notice how when you're calm you don't even want to PMO? Keep it that way by not escalating your urges to anything.

  1. Visualization

I was taught this trick by Celibate Yogi in a coaching session who has helped me a ton and made me realize all of this actually. When you get an urge, don't think of it as coming from yourself, but from another entity in your mind. Visualize a monster, or a shady drug dealer offering you a drug, or whatever works for you. You know what they're offering is a scam, so there's no reason to create tension in your mind by contemplating whether you want to take his deal or not. You are 100% certain saying No is the best option! The reason you do this is if you think the urge is coming from yourself, if you say no to yourself it's like one side of you always loses and you feel worse. So you can try this trick and hopefully it helps.
