The Various Kronie Peoples

Kronies are not a homogenous people. Some groups are natives of the island while some groups came from other continents long ago. These groups of people have varying customs, traditions, culture, etc. For example, the largest group of Kronies are a horny people and this reputation has spread across the world far and wide. However, there are other smaller groups of Kronies who are traditionally chaste and do not participate in orgies or visit gay brothels. A small but significant portion of the nation's population do not worship our Goddess Kronii. These are immigrants who came to our island in more recent times and they are tolerated among Kronies as long as they don't commit blasphemy against our Goddess. Although it is not unusual to see other people immigrate or travel to our nation, it is exceedingly rare to see a Kronies leave our island and travel abroad. Centuries of secrecy and isolationism has led to a warped perspective of Kronies and none of the Kronies were in foreign lands to defend our reputation so Kronies just live with it now.

The Ritual of Clensing

For the complete transfer of power from the current Grand Priestess (Timekeeper/The One) to the next Grand Priestess, a ritual called the Ritual of Cleansing is held.
The Ritual of Cleansing is a ritual where the current Grand Priestess washes the next Grand Priestess with a special fluid from her own body.
The current Grand Priestess collects the special fluid during her reign and stores it for the Ritual of Cleansing. The fluid she collects is considered so special that its sole purpose is for the Ritual of Cleansing and no one but the Grand Priestess may access it.
No one but the Grand Priestess knows the exact source of the special fluid.
The Ritual of Cleansing is a reference to the myth of Kronii fighting Cort'an where Kronii's fluid cleanses the corruption of Cort'an from the Kronies.
The Ritual of Cleansing purifies the next Grand Priestess of all corruption and prepares her body to become the next incarnation of the Goddess Kronii.
