Treaty of Ho Lee Fook

The Empire of Myeongnyang and the Mononobe Shogunate, under the Empire of Nijisanji sign this treaty of everlasting friendship and unity between our two peoples that has long existed into formality under the blessings of the divines.

Terms:

1. Partial Military Alliance between the two states, in offensive and defensive wars. The spirit of the agreement being that both sides shall not drag the other party into unnecessary wars without the mutual consent of either party. In the event of said war, a war council with equal parties from both nations shall be established to ensure both sides cooperate mutually.
2. The independence in all affairs regarding the Empire of Myeongnyang shall not be infringed upon by the Shogunate. The Empire of Myeognyang reserves the right to terminate all agreements should this not be observed.
3. Advanced Shipbuilding, Industrial techniques, Land clearance, and Naval Theory shall be provided by the Shogunate to the Empire upon request.
4. Fortifications, Drydocks and larger warehouse shall be constructed with the assistance of the Shogunate.
5. All Vessels from both nations shall have free access between each other's ports and get free repairs.
6. The port of Jeonwang shall become a full naval base for the Imperial Navy of Nijisanji, where they shall send a squadron of ships to protect us from the stronger navies of potentially hostile powers. This squadron will be up to the Imperial Navy of Nijisanji to decide but within the spirit, it should be strong enough to deter hostile action. Furthermore, we request that this port be fortified strongly by the Shogunate.
7. Imperial goods shall have a Reverse Tariff of 15% in the Shogunate, Anykarian goods have no tariff in the Empire.
8. The Empire of Myeongnyang is invited to join KAG if it is formed. The terms of this are up for later negotiation but recognizes that the Empire would be the junior partner in such a company.

Secret Clauses:

1. Any wars started by an India company shall not involve the Empire unless they are part of the company themselves
2. Waegu from the Empire of Myeongnyang shall consider at the orders of the Mononobe Shogunate upon request. As not all Waegu can be guaranteed to follow orders, the Shogunate shall respect this as part of the integrity of the Empire of Myeongnyang. The Empire will attempt to prevent this from happening in return and try to uproot the lawless Waegu if necessary. All loot from Waegu that come under orders from the Empire shall solely go to the Empire itself and to the men who carried out the attacks.
3. NijiKR Chuubas shall be part of the NijiJP pantheon
