Oh, I think I'm in love.

"Yes officer, I can vouch for him. I saw him leaving the room and there wasn't a body when I went in. He was with our group when we went back to the party, and no one left that room until the body was found." His savior gestured to the other three men behind them. "You all saw me dip into the room and then we went straight back, right?"

A chorus of agreements. "Yeah! And Fulgur was only in there for a few seconds, so I'm pretty sure he didn't strangle the guy either!" chirped the brown haired one.

"Thanks for the vote of confidence…"

The blond separated from the group to talk with the police for just a moment. With an apologetic look they nodded and left.

Kaelix found himself face to face with the stranger who had just helped keep him out of handcuffs.

"You alright? I know this is stressful, but I'm sure they'll let us go home soon enough, so hang in there, okay?" His voice was so much softer now. Kaelix wanted to kiss him. To drop to his knees and dedicate his life to this guardian angel.

Instead he clasped his shaking hands behind his back and forced a shy smile onto his lips.

When he'd slipped out of the room leaving a body cooling on the couch he hadn't noticed the group moving towards it until he was too far away to block them. He could only stare, pale and cursing his bad luck, as the silver haired man in front had pushed the door open with a "Just a second, let me put this back."

There had been no cry of surprise however, and a few moments later he had emerged and leisurely joined the others.

What? The couch is right in front of the door. He had to have seen! Is he playing it cool until he can call the police? He isn't alone, I can't just grab him!

His frantic thoughts had come to a halt as the group approached him.

With a polite smile, the man holding his fate in his hands had asked "Are you here for the party too? We're heading there now."

He had been sweating bullets but he'd managed to stutter out a yes and joined them. Sticking close to the man had been because of his paranoia. What if the guy was just waiting for the chance to go for the phone? But the police arrived without him ever leaving Kaelix's sight.

And now he had to find a way to repay the man who had seen the body he left and decided to give him an alibi.

It only took playing up how shaken he was to get an offer to take him home when the police released them with a nod to the blond. They really were on the same wavelength! Fulgur--just call me Fuuchan--as he'd introduced himself waved goodbye to his group and led him to his car.

Kaelix grasp the chance to get his number and the promise that they'd go out some time with both hands. He wouldn't let his soulmate go. And this man had to be. To lie to police, to understand Kaelix's subtle hints, after only minutes. How could they not be meant for each other?

Kaelix was in heaven. They fit so well together! He'd managed to convince his beloved to move in together in only a few months. Fulgur put up with his clinginess with barely any complaint. He complimented the food Kaelix cooked! He cuddled happily; he let Kaelix pin him to the counter and shower him with kisses; he made the most wonderful noises under him while Kaelix worshiped him and he looked so beautiful falling apart of Kaelix's cock. He never even asked about why Kaelix had killed that guy! (Because that man was a corrupt asshole, mostly. But watching him flail and then slowly fall still as the rope tightened around his next was incredibly satisfying in a way that the reason didn't matter.)

Kaelix loved him so much. He would dedicate his life to this literal angel. Make sure he never wanted for anything. Everything was perfect.

--

Kaelix was in hell. He'd kept Fulgur away from his kills after they met. His sloppiness had ensured they met, but making trouble for his lover--making him lie again to the police--would be selfish. Much better to plan so that he didn't have to make that choice again. Accidents, 'suicides', those were safer to set up for the both of them. Getting caught would mean that Fulgur wouldn't have anyone to hold him or cook for him anymore!

Still, this opportunity was too good to pass up. And Fulgur hadn't minded the first one. Standing over the body, bloody knife in hand Kaelix watched in confusion as a paling Fulgur quickly backed away. His conversation with the man had been suddenly cut short, but Kaelix had stabbed the man in the back to make sure no blood got on him. He was such a considerate boyfriend! So why did his beloved look so scared?

"Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you…Are you afraid of blood?" He gave his best reassuring smile, "I should have asked. If I'd known, I would have used a rope again."

Fulgur was trembling. Kaelix's smile slid off of his face, as he stepped forward and Fulgur matched it with a step back, eyes darting to the door.

"What's wrong? I didn't mean to upset you. I really am sorry. Seeing so much blood suddenly can be a bit scary, huh? I'll warn you first next time! And if blood does bother you then I'll do it like before. If I use rope again it won't be bloody at all. You didn't seem to mind that first body but it was less bloody, so I understand." Fulgur was hyperventilating as he stared at him in horror.

"There doesn't need to be a next time!" He started to ramble desperately. "I just thought, since you didn't mind the first body--but it was also less bloody so I understand--well. That is. I'm being selfish dragging you into it again--but I planned this better so you won't have to lie to the police again! We can just go home. And I'll make sure to keep you out of it. It'll be only us you don't have to worry everything is fine! We can watch the show you were enjoying and I'll make you your favorite--"

"First body?" His voice came out as a croak, but it cut through the words vomiting from Kaelix's mouth like a gunshot. The slow look of realization made the pit in Kaelix's stomach grow. "Oh god the party where we met. They never did find the guy who did it. It really was you? The body was already there and I told the police I was sure it wasn't. Oh god. I think I'm going to be sick."

"You…you didn't see it? You weren't covering for me with the police?" They were both shaking now. "But……we fit together so well. It was love at first sight!"

Fulgur's wide eyes kept darting between his face, the knife and the door.

"No no no" Kaelix's other hand came up to grip at his hair. "Kaelix loves Fulgur and Fulgur loves Kaelix. Everything is fine. We can just go home. Forget this ever happened, right? I still love you. You still love me. Nothing has to change."

He continued to whisper words of love as he dropped the knife, cornered Fulgur, and wrestled the phone he had been trying to hide behind his back to call the police with from his grip. He wiped away his angel's tears even as he bound him and gagged him. It's okay. Everything will be okay.

The ride back home was pretty short, so even if the trunk was uncomfortable, it would be fine for Fulgur to stay there. It was for his own good. He was just a bit emotional right now!

"Kaelix loves Fulgur. I love you. I will always love you I promise. We'll get through this." He'd get some more comfortable handcuffs later. Unfortunately the ones they sometimes used in bed weren't sturdy enough. Rope would have to do for now. "Sorry sorry sorry" He chanted. "It's only for tonight. Just be good and don't struggle and I'll get you some padded ones later."

Kaelix wiped away his own tears as he secured Fulgur to the bed after wrestling most of his clothes off. Even after everything fell apart, it still felt divine to fuck into the body beneath him.

"We'll be okay. See, I can still make you feel good." Kaelix nearly sobbed in relief as Fulgur's cock hardened in his hand. It was a shame he couldn't hear the noises Fulgur was making as well with the gag, but they'd get through this.

"I have another place outside of town. No one will bother us there."

"I love you so so much."
