Note !!! : this will be bits of yoka's lore + how they met + present ! Im a lore skipper so some parts might be innaccurate 🙇🏻‍♀️ pro tip !!! read yoka's lore here first!

ok so after yoka was sent back to tayvet she met dottore, after her shell knew that dottore wanted to overthrow the heavenly principals, it made a deal with dottore, he could use her regenerative body for whenever he needed to conduct a human experiment. dottore couldnt gaf abt it so it didnt have a proper place to stay and it constantly curled up and slept on the floors of his experiment rooms. The shell and scara wld constantly see each other in the labs but there wasnt any communication between them as she gave off an unsettling feeling of something pretending to be hunan. It didnt look like it felt any emotions more like it was pretending to feel anything. But every physical feeling the shell felt was transfered to yoka. After some time , the fatui highjacked the akasha system and dottore has managed to find a loophole in its curse by creating an artificial brain for it. dottore then put scara and the shell together to fight testing if scara was ready to be an artificial god and if the artificial brain was successful. That was when scara finally met yoka. During their fight, scara was somehow able to enter her consciousness. the membrane between both their consciousness was thin enough for his consciousness to be launched inside hers. He landed in a subliminal space filled with flowers. There was a constant feeling of being watched and he knew that these flowers were only there to give an impression of a "safe place" so he was constantly on guard. While he was exploring the area, the person watching him finally greeted him with a little weed around his neck. It was yoka's consciousness in a physical form. no one was supposed to be able to enter her consciousness, she was cursed with eternal lonliness. Scara knew that the weed was laced with poison so he didnt move. After bickering here and there, she finally released her grip on him and he found out that yoka looked exactly like her shell. Except for the eyes. it was the eyes of someone that lived. she had no idea who he was. They talked for a little , yoka explained that this was her consciousness and that she couldnt leave. If she could, she would be able to at least retrive back some of her divine powers. scara couldnt gaf he wanted out. but she didnt even know how to get out herself. they spent sometime walking around in slience. by that time scara had alrdy accept the fact he was prob stuck here for sometime. until he regained consciousness. turns out dottore had reset his whole system and sucked him right out of her consciousness. scara was super confused at this whole ordeal but kept it to himself. dottore deemed that experiment a fail. That night when he was sleeping (he doesnt need sleep he js sleeps for the sake of sleeping its a way to reset afterall) , he entered her consciousness again. She wasnt hostile towards him anymore. she was still guarded though. This happens quite frequently, he somehow enters , they talk or sit in slience or he watches yoka tend to the plants , he gets kicked out when his alarm rings. At first he thought it was dreams (although he didnt have dreams) , but when he talked to the shell or dragged the shell along to do tasks, he noticed its behavior was mechanical. When he looked a little closer he realised the face would glitch its expressions smiles and everything was so off. Thats when he knew that everything he had experienced wasnt a dream. Turns out, when he is drifting out of his consciousness and when yoka is feeling especially lonely, the membrane between their consciousness will be thin enough for him to cross over. It soon became a pattern, everynight he would cross over to her consciousness and theyd talk or enjoy eachother's pressence. Both of them start looking forward to these encounters. With time , the membrane grew thinner and thinner , to the point she or he could just drag each other's consciousness into each other's consciousness. At one point of time, when he was doing some paperwork, he unconsciously started wondering what yoka could possibly do for almost 300 years stuck inside her ownself. That created a suction which resulted in her being brought into his consciousness. (both their physical form was also limp/asleep) That was where she learnt about his past , which wasnt what scara wanted. But he wasnt really left with much choice. After the traveller cut ended the samsara, their connection was also cut. Since there was no longer a supply of Jnana energy. Their contact was cut. She started wondering where he had gone, no one told the shell anything nor did the shell ask. She thought he had abandoned her and didnt need her, she was back to sitting around alone again. The experiments continues as usual. (im ngl idk what dottore did at this time and i cant really gaf to go research abt it) After scara erased himself and regained back his memories as wanderer, he went back to free the shell from dottore. Through nahida and irmunsul yoka finally got out of her consciousness. To wanderer's surprise , yoka still remembered his past and scaramouche up until they cut contact. Since she was still stuck inside her consciousness when all the erasing and everything happened. Safe to say yoka was confused and angry at him but it was resolved. yahoo so now yoka and wanderer study / help out together in the akademia. however yoka was still in dottores radar since she was a valuable assest to his human experiments.
