An Eternal Minute

“Alright…in a few seconds the timer will go up and you will have your minute to ask me anything anon. Do you understand?”

“Uh…Yeah…is there gonna be an indicator or…”

“Right ok! Kronii! I’m glad to have a minute of your time. Could you perhaps tell me if…if you were happy?”

“If I was happy? Not if I’m happy right now?”

“I know…a little odd but…I’m curious…”

Kronii raises an eyebrow at me and sighs.

“I was…if you’re referring to what I think you are that is.”

I let the air exit my nose in a noisy way, expressing some fashion of relief. She's still smiling…I just wanted to make sure.

“Alright! Wonderful! Thank you for your time Kronii.” I pick myself up out of the interviewer’s chair and head for the exit.
