clover and Chujin working together on houses for the monsters that haven't been able to move to the surface
he was reluctant at first, but after learning how clovers journey underground went, and how it ended, he eventually agreed to take the kid under his wing
he always kept a close eye on the human, but seeing how the kid always followed all of his instructions with painstaking detail he found himself relaxing more than usual as they worked on a house for a family of particularly tall rabbit monsters
while checking a support beam to make sure everything was in place for the unusual proportions he slipped up without realizing it "damn Ningen, they know the housing they 'donated' was too small for the monsters still underground". As he went back to measuring and cutting a 12 foot high door he started to wonder why clover had gone so quiet. eventually the kid finally spoke up
"Mr, Ketsukane?" Chujin stopped what he was doing to see that the kid had a confused frown on his face
"Whats the matter kid, not sure what to do next?" there was no shortage of work to do fortunately. at least those damn humans left the forest around Ebott to them so there was no shortage of materials either. Clover fidgeted with his hands for a moment, Chujin was getting a bit impatient "Come on now, out with it!" as he threw his hands up beckoning an answer.
"Whats a Ningen?"

"Oh uh, its" he thought fast "its a bad word for evil humans. Did I say that?" clover nodded, shit "Well listen closely, because kids aren't supposed to say it so just pretend you never heard it ok?" clover was still frowning but he started nodding slowly "H-hey look, I could use help with this door, you mind grabbing another saw?"
Chujin hoped with all his might that Martlet didn't find out about this
Martlet found out the very next day when watching the news with Clover when he called a criminal being reported on a 'darn dirty Ningen'
