The Badlands: A Toxic Hellhole during the Times of Pomerlane

The "Badlands" as they are called now used to be one of the most important agricultural regions in all of Ninisani, and were traditionally under Pomeranian control. But as more migrating tribes entered the Empire, this area in particular became a lawless wasteland. It's roads and farms are long overgrown with vegetation and across the badlands have emerged "Bandit Kingdoms", which have made the region so dangerous that Emperor Demetrius IV decreed that "Only a fool with a death wish would enter these lands in passage to the lands of Luxiem and Ethyria. Take a boat or your life will likely be forfeit." His words remain true even today, as the only thing that comes out of this region is the worst of scum.

Because of the lack of information about this region thanks to it being impossible to traverse, there are no cities or towns to speak of that are likely still exist. What we do know is that there are several dangerous warlords that inhabit this region of note, and many more note of note. Gore the Loe, False the flagger, Roseschizo, Doxxsister, Discord and other deranged psychopaths that forgot to take their meds are some of the most terrifying inhabitants of the world; all being concentrated in this cesspit of wickedness and terror.

Should anyone gain enough power to punish these criminals, it is a shared belief among all that every last one of the current inhabitants of this region must be put to the sword.
