Christianity and Wokeism: What Scripture Says
The following is a collection of all the scriptural references noted in this essay. The BibleHub page for each citation includes a parallel comparison of numerous translations, so no claims of intentionally cherry-picking a "wrong" translation may be made. I have selected the Berean Standard Bible translation, for no other reason than because is the default on BibleHub.

Human nature is a problem to be solved.
Without continual, conscious effort (and struggle), human nature leads humans to be basically bad.
Humans are inherently sinful (corruptible, evil, wicked). Our nature condemns our immortal souls.
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
We should strive to resist our wicked natural impulses as obedient believers.
For the flesh craves what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are opposed to each other, so that you do not do what you want.
Humans are born defective.
Our very state as humans, irrespective of our actions, condemns us.
All humans inherit the guilt of the so-called "original sin." The passive nature of this guilt is described as being "born into sin."
Surely I was brought forth in iniquity; I was sinful when my mother conceived me.
Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, so also death was passed on to all men, because all sinned.
Humans are described as incapable of making moral and ethical choices independently, and salvation is mandatory for people to be capable of good.
I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh; for I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.
All sin is equally damning; all are equally sinful.
Whoever keeps the whole law but stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.
As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one.
Follow the plan of salvation.
Once you recognize your defective nature, you are obliged to seek the required salvation from your nature.
Recognize your sinful (corruptible, evil, wicked) nature...
to put off your former way of life, your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;
...dedicate the rest of your life to rejecting your nature...
What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?
...and actively work to convert as many people to the ideology as you can.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,
And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
Unbelievers are immoral.
Those who reject the ideology are necessarily viewed as the enemy.
If you hear the gospel and refuse its salvation message, you will burn in hell forever (or face annihilation).
in blazing fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.
Anyone who voluntarily rejects the gospel message is characterized as being foolish and dark...
For although they knew God, they neither glorified Him as God nor gave thanks to Him, but they became futile in their thinking and darkened in their foolish hearts.
...selfish and evil...
But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow wickedness, there will be wrath and anger.
...and willfully ignorant.
and with every wicked deception directed against those who are perishing, because they refused the love of the truth that would have saved them.
Christians are exhorted by Jesus to hate even family members who refuse the gospel message.
Anyone who loves his father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me;
If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters—yes, even his own life—he cannot be My disciple.
Truth is absolute.
Challenging the principles is not permitted. The principles are statements of absolute truth.
There is only one truth, and it is the word of god, also known as the Christian bible. All other claims of truth are necessarily malicious deception from the devil.
And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.
Then they will come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, who has taken them captive to his will.
Christians are discouraged from relying on their own rational, logical intellect, and encouraged to accept scripture as truth without question.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;
Challenging the absolute and eternal authority of the founders of the Jewish race (Moses and Abraham) is regarded as "depraved."
Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these men oppose the truth. They are depraved in mind and disqualified from the faith.
Everyone is the same inside, so equity is inevitable.
All differences are superficial. We're all the same "on the inside," regardless of apparent differences. External differences must be erased, as a reflection of our internal sameness.
All are "made in god's image."
So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, He made him in His own likeness.
A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man.
All humans are equally slave to, and under the power of, our sinful nature.
Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.
We know that our old self was crucified with Him so that the body of sin might be rendered powerless, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.
For when you were slaves to sin, you were free of obligation to righteousness.
Sin makes us all equal in the eyes of the creator of the world, which means our differences are ultimately immaterial. All who are saved are equally saved; there are no meaningful differences between believers.
For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free, and we were all given one Spirit to drink.
There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
Scripture encourages Christians to engage in practical equity, primarily through voluntary wealth redistribution.
Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.
So I thought it necessary to urge the brothers to visit you beforehand and make arrangements for the bountiful gift you had promised. This way, your gift will be prepared generously and not begrudgingly.
Each one should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not out of regret or compulsion. For God loves a cheerful giver.
Alleviating poverty, even to one's own impoverishment, is highly regarded.
Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide yourselves with purses that will not wear out, an inexhaustible treasure in heaven, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.
Sovereign nations are social constructs.
Since everyone is the same inside, there's no real reason for ethnic groups. Ethnic differences only serve to divide and cause conflict, so in the name of world peace and harmony, these differences must be erased.
The god of the bible literally spells out that nations are manmade vanity, "emptiness" and "meaninglessness" in his eyes.
All the nations are as nothing before Him; He regards them as nothingness and emptiness.
All the peoples of the earth are counted as nothing, and He does as He pleases with the army of heaven and the peoples of the earth. There is no one who can restrain His hand or say to Him, ‘What have You done?’ ”
The promised messianic utopia will be a single, global kingdom ruled by Jesus Christ.
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government will be upon His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, He will sit on His glorious throne.
who has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father—to Him be the glory and power forever and ever! Amen.
There is only one nation - the global Christian community. Through Christian salvation, all are kin of Abraham, the patriarch of the Jewish people.
So it is not the children of the flesh who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as offspring.
And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise.
and reconciling both of them to God in one body through the cross, by which He extinguished their hostility.
This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are fellow heirs, fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus.
The doctrine is global and universal.
There is one truth and doctrine for the whole world.
Christianity declares the whole world damned...
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, so also death was passed on to all men, because all sinned.
...and it presents itself as the only solution for the whole world
He came as a witness to testify about the Light, so that through him everyone might believe.
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
So then, just as one trespass brought condemnation for all men, so also one act of righteousness brought justification and life for all men.
Christians view themselves as part of the "chosen nation" - that is, the global Christian community.
Christians have long engaged in "missionary work," which is the practice of traveling to unknown parts of the world to teach the people there to abandon their own ethnic spirituality in the name of the One True Religion.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,
And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
A globalist utopia is the ultimate goal.
Uniting the world in peace and harmony is a central promise of both religions.
The book of Revelation describes the end of the world. After the end of Armageddon, Jesus Christ is prophesied to return and rule as the literal king of the world for one thousand years, headquartered in Jerusalem.
Then I saw the thrones, and those seated on them had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image, and had not received its mark on their foreheads or hands. And they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
