Through all recorded history, many other nations had looked to the Kingdom of Atlantis with either admiration or envy, as its status as the foremost leader of trade throughout all the known lands has been a fact since the written word was born. Many are the historians who would claim that the first alphabet was seared into seastone by ink by the formidables of /wah/, but it is more a fact that the first letter ever scribed then was "a".
Some call it /ggg/, the serene sleeping juggernaut, whose inhabitants largely care not for the petty conflicts of the greater world, and only seek to enrich their own lives through peaceful trade, enforced by their flawless control over the world's sea trades.
And yet all, even the citizens of this Kingdom, know full well that their nation has a dark side. For just as the seas run calm and peaceful, so too do tempests and storms wrack the coast. And the peace-loving goddess which all its citizens worship, also has a dark, bloody side, with ravenous appetite.
Though it is formally called the Kingdom of Atlantis, /ggg/ has no actual monarch ruling the nation. The nation is ostensibly a union of communes, with each commune granted quasi-autonomy over their respective regions. There is no central governing mandate, save for a Convention of War as mandated by their Constitution which empowers a council of representatives from each commune to lead the country in times of war. The monarch for which the Kingdom is named is the mythical Gawr Gura, the being whom all shrimps and chumbuds worship. The /ggg/ Constitution was based on the Atlantean scripts, said to have been washed ashore by Gawr Gura to help guide her followers at the nation's founding.
/ggg/ is a premiere maritime nation, but not because it posseses a strong or sizable navy. Indeed in most cases it has no need of either. Rather, the one advantage for each /ggg/ vessel that sails the vast seas are their complete immunity to any sea-based disasters such as storms or squalls. The ocean is Atlantis' ally, and the great blessing of Gawr Gura endures to this very day. Therefore, aside from reaping a huge bounty in the fishing industry, /ggg/ has also become the world's "traffic officer", who profit from escorting vessels down the right path safely towards their destination. Should any one country displease Gawr Gura, the nation will then be quick to withdraw their support, leaving the offending nation's ships to be tossed on the capricious seas.
/ggg/ has always maintained a strong neutrality when it comes to international geo-politics, as its unassailable protection from the seas has ensured that whichever side they join would always have the immense nautical advantage. Still, they are never too eager to leverage their primary position for any sort of gain, as the primary teachings of Gawr Gura has always been to love and cherish life. The only occasion on which /ggg/ might be roused is when Holo-land (is that the continent's name?) itself is threatened.

Traditionally, the citizens of /ggg/ prefer to wear simple clothing that exposed as much skin as possible, as it was a necessity for maritime life. Thus, at the very minimum, the citizens wear undergarments to cover the areas around the breast and the crotch. Sailors whose voyages took them to colder climes would bring with them thickly woven tunics and fur coats.
Among certain traditionalist communes, it is a widely held belief that the wearing of even undergarments were prohibited, and so it is not unheard of for such citizens to go about their lives wearing long toga-like clothing or long-hemmed dresses, to ensure that one's privates are covered up as decorum required. In the privacy of one's household however, traditionalists believe that clothing is more hindrance. Therefore, in the absence of guests, it is not unheard of for entire families to be walking around naked, save for the children, who are made to wear the traditional Atlantean stola.
Concerns from other nations about the propriety of this essentially nudist behavior have largely been dismissed. The Kingdom of Atlantis is a simple place, with equally simple people, who care not for ostentations of clothing. Where appropriate, however, especially in diplomatic functions and among merchants who must deal with foreign elements, fully dressed citizens of /ggg/ opt for simple fashion. Such include the likes of full embroidered skirts, rolled-up denim trousers and layered dresses. Such fashion is meant to invoke Gawr Gura, while also allowing freedom of movement and comfort.
