Entry from the Diary of Empress Emylia: January 6th, 1109

6th January 1109.

Elira has blessed me so greatly and I am so grateful to her! Two healthy twins, whom we have named Ferdinand August Pomeranius and Marie Luise Amalie, have been brought into this world healthy. A beautiful son and daughter... oh how special a moment to experience becoming a mother! My dearest Husband stayed by my side throughout the process and held my hand the whole time. I am so fortunate to have him, he will be such a wonderful father.

The doctors told me to rest for the next week and that is what I am doing now. My husband will be handling the state in the meantime. He will need to depart for Syrenia for a month or two shortly to deal with affairs there. Being without him is painful.... He means the world to me and my heart aches when I have not heard from him for long. I hope that I will be everything he ever needs in life and bear many more children with him.
