Character
Mine was born to a prominent ninja line and with that came a lot of expectations. Expectations that he failed to live up to when it was revealed his elemental nature was water, not lightning which meant he would be unable to inherit his clan's technique. But more than that, rumors of him being the result of an affair started to spread which led to him being expelled in all but name.

Since this was caused by him failing to repay the debt he believes he owed his family for being born, this led Mine to develop a very transactional vision of the world. Almost any debt he incurs must be repaid as soon as possible. After all, if Mine doesn't consequences may fall upon him once again.

Since he was unable to inherit the family techniques, Mine had to scramble to come up with his own fighting style. One day, he tried the summoning jutsu at random and was sent to the halls of the rat clan. This encounter marked a pivotal moment for the young boy.

Although Mine does act as befits his age, due to his time with the rat clan, he can sometime show some weird quirks such as offering to help clean his friends as he sees it as a bonding process. While unaware of it, he severely dislikes hearing people speak favorably of their blood relatives.

Fighting style
Due to his reluctance towards getting hurt, Mine designed a fighting style centered around his summoning arts with the Rat clan. Because of the clan's ability to produce large amounts of offspring rapidly, the younger swarms can be sent to their deaths without much care. However, Mine still has reverance for the older members of the clan who he sees as mentors and wise figures.

Jutsus

Summoning : Rat swarm
Due to their very low individual power, lower tier rats can be summoned in masses that can be used to overwhelm an opponent with sheer numbers. Of course, the wounds they can inflict are minor but they make for a great distraction. In spite of their low intellect, they can also be used to monitor a large area.

Illusion Style : Rat lullaby
As one can expect, the large number of rats summoned with the jutsu above produces a large volume of sound. Using genjutsu, Mine can weaponise this, using it to make the victim fall into an illusion where the masses of rats overwhelm them.

Illusion style : Hide in surface
A rather common technique. Mine can use it to hide to prepare for ambushes or slip away unnoticed while his summons take the attention away.

Summoning : Brood mother
Another summoning jutsu. This one summons a female rat about to give birth to a swarm. While the creature is unable to move or fight, the summoning is useful because Mine is able to implant poison directly into the offspring. After some time, this results in a swarm with venomous fangs and claws that represent a much higher threat than regular rrats.

Summoning : Eeki
Summons Eeki, a small dog sized black rat Mine considers a close friend. While Eeki's fighting abilities aren't that impressive, he is able to coordinate the swarms of rats effectively if Mine is unable to for some reason. Mine will also tend to rely on this summon when he feels overwhelmed and needs help formulating a plan or simply keeping his cool. Mine will always go out of his way to give food to Eeki as payment.

Summoning : Rat Elder
Summons a Rat elder, a creature on par with the greatest warriors of the frog or snake clans. Mine is far from having mastered this technique yet and cannot use it, although he has met with the Elders when he made his pact with the Rat clan.

Summoning:???
A forbidden technique Mine has yet to attempt.

Poison style : Foul breath
Releases a foul stench over a large area. While not actually poisonous, the smell is bad enough to make one throw up and impede concentration if one is not used to it. It also masks Mine's smell, making it almost impossible to find him using scent.
