IDOL MATSURI
A competitive event where many acts will face off in a variety show format, enaging in musical performances for a live audience and a panel of judges. Performances may be either live choreography or a pre-recorded video. To encourage live participation and level the playing field with the editing options available for pre-recorded videos, live performances can include a video background, avatars with special effects, etc. We want to be permissive! If you have ideas that you are uncertain about, by all means, PLEASE contact us.
Important notes:
- Acts must register to enter by 5/20 23:59:59 PDT.
- Once entered, contestants will have until 6/25 23:59:59 PDT to submit their static background for the stage backdrop.
- The backdrop is a circular display panel in the rear center of the stage. Further materials may be requested at a later point.
- Specifically prerecorded entrants are required to submit their video by link and/or file by 7/6 23:59:59 PDT.
- Live performers do not have to submit any kind of video, but are encouraged to prepare and submit at least a basic prerecorded video for contingencies.
- Please note: while backdrop videos, etc do not have a deadline and are the responsibility of their performers, contingency videos are subject to the same deadline as prerecorded entrants.
VIRTUAL BUYOU
A large group dance animation project with specific accomodations to have the largest possible group of participants on stage. Participants will record vocals for a given song and will fit a given costume to their avatar, and submit both to us so that their vocals can be put into the mix and that their model can be added to the world as part of the pre-animated choreography. This is used over live choreography as a measure to both integrate NA and EU segments of the performance as well as to broaden the pool of individuals that may want to have their model as part of the show.

The specific costume will be posted soon™.
Vocals and model must be submitted to us by 6/18 23:59:59 PDT.
CM BREAK
A noncompetitive showcase of typically comedic (and usually wholly fantasy) advertisements for various businesses in the area showing their support for this year's event. The sky's the limit!
CM spots must be submitted by 7/6 23:59:59 PDT.
COMMUNITY SPONSORSHIP
A template kit will be distributed to enable community "sponsorship." Space is limited and will be distributed to users on a first-come, first-served basis. Requests for specific placement may or may not be followed.
Important notes:
- Link to be distributed at a later date.
- Storefronts must be submitted by 6/25 23:59:59 PDT.
- We reserve the right to refuse "sponsors" or require revisions for inclusion.
TRANTHONY FAGTANO
Apply to judge the contestants! Aspiring judges must submit an application at the specific judge application form. Four judges and a number of standbys will be selected from the applicant pool. Standby judges will be called upon during a contingency situation as a preferred alternative to picking judges from the audience at random.
