/ vows

i'm not too sure what i wanna do with this url quite yet because i wasn't expecting to get it ,, i've been wanting it for ages :"0 i'm thinking of putting some of my writing on here though ! vows seems like a fitting theme for that ?

he looked up in surprise as the forest and trees gradually stopped and suddenly vanished to reveal a beautiful opening with soft grass and a waterfall running out of a crack in the mountain ,, letting down a steady stream of water into the brook below where he ,, when he looked closer, saw that there were fish . he stepped closer ,, his shoe soles crunching the gravel until it was replaced by the dewy green of grass and only emitted a muffled sound of steps .

the chirp of birds ran through the air like a forever melodic ocherstra and he felt like he was in the presence of something superhuman or unnatural . something mythical . he discarded the thought as plain stupid but it didn’t help that as he walked closer, the feeling of that seemed only to grow in intensity . as he walked further into the strange yet peaceful area that didn’t seem as if to belong in the woods ,, he heard a sound.

small ,, indistinct, quiet . but still there . he would’ve thought it was another bird call ,, albeit a very tone-deaf one ,, but it sounded more melancholy ,, hurt . it didn’t sound like a bird’s chirp . not unless the bird in question was injured . it was more of a low whimper or whine . the comparison to an injured bird suddenly made him realize that it might not be an injured bird but an injured person .

at this thought ,, he hurried towards the noise ,, while the back of his mind chanted trap, trap, you’re unprepared for an attack like this . he kept walking though, pushing the thoughts away ,, but abruptly stopped when he saw a person on the ground .
