Lore rewriting.

This touches a lot of new details for Kronii, Boros, the Ouroborian and Infinity past. It also disregards some previous lore, mainly about Boros. EVERYTHING SHOULD BE DISCUSSED THEN. Also a very rough draft, couldn't find time to actually write something decent, I wanted the ideas out of my brain.

Family

Our origin tale.

The eyes of Boros are more bright than the Sun and never close, they are blinding radiance to the natives, who don't know it's a deity, as they're unable to face it directly. They don't know darkness, as it's eternally bright and they don't concept of time. They barely survive this situation: they produce food and find water, the light is too bright to do anything else. They have no complexity, live and die without transcending.

One day a strange woman appears from the East, emerging from the coast of the land. She has long hair with pastel colors and a curvy figure, coffee eyes.

She approach the light directly, something impossible for the natives. Her eyes go white and goes blind. Her hair burns to a short length and darkens.

Then she starts talking with the snake, which gets surprised, no-one has ever talked with him. They communicate in an unknown language, a godly one. The woman is a deity if she can do that.

The naked woman hugs the snake, then kisses the tip of its head. The eyes of the snake close. For the first time the natives experience darkness, which scares them and make them feel lost, but at the same time they realize that their land is full of sparkling precious stones and materials. Their land is one of riches, not the inferno they are living now. The feeling of hope is born in them and so is the prospect of progress.

The eyes of Boros start to open again but the stranger starts talking again. After some words the snake just open one eye instead, which makes the brightness just enough to illuminate the territory.

After a talk, the snake impulses itself up and then crashes the Earth, making a big divide, and goes underground. After this the land goes dark again.

Moments later, a snake, as tall as the outsider, white and gold with sapphire eyes shows up, emitting enough light to make the scene visible. After another short talk, it begins to creep the body of the woman: the left leg first, around the torso and through the bosoms until it reaches her neck, where she then gets punctuated.

The woman's eyes recover its sight and become the same color as the snake's eyes, and a circular halo with three light rays coming of it appears over her head. She grabs the snake with her hands, say softly words to it, and escort it underground again.

Then the earth rumbles. It's the snake who recovered her size under the land and is starting to move it to the East, away of the main continent. This is how our homeland became an island.

The woman approaches the natives. One fearful little girl makes sounds trying to communicate something, but the native don't have a language, this is but a pure intent born of a new feeling in them: recognizing that change in their reality is possible. Nonetheless the woman understand and answers the question she was trying to make: "what you told The Bright?". The woman replied, in what would become our ancient language, "I told him I found my family." She made a pause before continuing, as the natives for some reason understood her words and were shocked: she was talking directly to their hearts. Then, she continued "and I told the snake that together we need to keep you safe, as you are his family too".

The woman names herself Ouro Kronii and told us that the snake name is Boros. We became worshipers of the goddess and her ally god snake, we are the Ouroborians. Kroniism is born.

The snake Boros sleeps under Infinity, and when it opens its eyes it's day as the shine escapes from underground and reflects in the sky: that's our Sun. Night is when he sleeps. After this, kronies learn what time is and their civilization starts.

Extra lore:

Etymology of words:

Language and religious scholar has been studying together the origin of our words to understand better how our culture developed.

  • Boros and Ouro: Boros is linked to modern words of Light, but also Loop/Repeat. Ouro is pretty precisely the word for Time, but also has the meaning in old language for Order and was used as Dark/Darkness as an antonym of the former. So Ouroboros means 'Light and Darkness' and also 'Time Loop', and the Ouroborian name we receive as believers of Kroniism comes for the symbolic union of the snake Boros and the goddess Kronii.
  • Kronii: besides being a name, theorist believe that it might have been a title of the likes to 'ruler' or 'queen', and that probably lousy translations from past historians is where the modern title of Warden came from. But this also would make sense as some religious scholars believe Time is a separate entity of Kronii's existence but only her advent gave it significance to the people of Infinity. Both interpretations, Kronii being Time or the Warden of Time, are accepted, as it doesn't affect the cult of Kronii. As a color note, linguist like to say that our ancient word for the sea animal seal is a hononym of the word Kronii for some unknown reason.

How Kronii chose her clothes:

  • The white and black scheme is because she brought the day and night cycle, her first gift.
  • Ribbon and eye color is the same as Boros' eyes. Sapphire.
  • The gold was a gift from Ouroborians to her goddess.
  • The chain represent the union between her, Boros and the Ouroborians.

What about Tick and Tock?

Tick and Tock, historians believe, weren't with Kronii from the start. Our history has been passed in oral tales, so much of the details are confusing and might be distorted. In the case of those weapons the most clear origin seems to be the tale of a blacksmith, who might have been a kronie or not but definitely an ouroborian, that one day came to Kronii and gave them to her. This myth also tells that the blacksmith said that she made this weapon in a fever dream, in which she was transported in front of an entity called WADA-MAMA whom gave her the materials and design to make them in dream where she forged it, and when she woke up both were resting on her lap. Some recent studies by scholars have found tales of other countries, now that we have access to them, with a deity figure that might fit the character: Kaela for the Holo ID pantheon. But there isn't enough proof of this, and there has not been a historical revision of this by the Kronii Appetentia yet.

Why Boros had his eyes always open:

/∞/ island was part of the Holocontinent, and it was connected to /towa/ territory. Small berserk demons coming from that land tended to attack the ancestors of kronies, from small jokes to eating their limps. Boros wanted to protect them so with keeping his eyes open the light it emitted made the devils hide and not bother the humans. He didn't realized the harm this was doing to the people and that, being always awake and unable to communicate, made his mind numb, so it was a never ending situation until Kronii showed up. When they met, it's believe in the words of religious scholars, Kronii might've told him to take the land out of the holocontinent as an alternative method to deal with the demons; explained him the damage he was doing to the humans; and that she wanted to protect and reached an alliance to protect and nurture the natives of that land.

Why Boros punctuated Kronii.

This is unknown, but it's believe that this made the goddess become part of Holo pantheon of gods, and sealed the faith between Boros and her, making them protect each other. Also missing in the tale is that her teeth became fags-like after that, and (undecided) this is when Kronii's breast started producing milk. But that is another tale to write.

Is Kronii really our goddess if Boros existed before her?

The Boroshian, who believe Kronii is an usurper of Boros' kingdom, think that Kronii was a minor deity of another pantheon who was exiled and she abused Boros difficult position of eternally protecting the people of this land to claim for herself Holo-godhood by tricking the snake to give her its approval in the event previously accounted. Not only the Boroshian people believe that they were 'separated' of Boros and the perfect and peaceful union with him of being one in a simple loop on shining ignorance, but condemned the land of what now is Infinity to be separated of the Holocontinent.

What about Krono. Where he comes from, what is his deal?

Some other day anon. Some other day.
