Interstellar Communication

ad astra lore*

Interstellar communication is a pivotal element of space travel. Video calls, audio reports and extremely fast audit warnings must travel at a decent speed to make sure the information is received in time, no audio loss happens and the medium doesn't allow unauthorized parties to intercept it.

In Ad Astra, 3 methods of communication are employed. First, the Pseudo-Quantum Lattice Matrix used by COTU Mission, known for its transmission of information extremely fast and reliably. It uses a combination of hexagonal qubits spread evenly within million of miles from Earth in all directions and quantum leaps at intervals of 1/1000 of a nanosecond to mimic a speed faster than light. The downsize of this method is the system is used mostly for COTU which doesn't allow much communication.

The next is called Tachyonic Particle System or TPS. A tachyon is a hypothetical subatomic particle faster than light. Their energy increases as they slow down toward the speed of light, a boundary that can never be crossed. This system is the most stable and capable of sending warnings to several ships, colonies and spacecrafts in record time. It also allows no interference from interstellar matter due to its incomprehensible speed.

Lastly, this method works upon the Pseudo-Quantum Lattice Matrix and completely tries to increase the speed of the communication at the cost of a 2% quality. Developed by Nebiru Corp., this type of technology trades off quality to increase the speed. This has been proven to entangle messages in a special coding, by breaking down certain messages and using AI systems to remove unnecessary data, white noise and certain blips.
