Isekino Tournament Areas + Connections
Certain abilities will already translate to certain power systems, like the Sharingan for Naruto, Boogie Woogie for JJK, or Logia for One Piece.
The 10 Sectors
Forest of Death (Naruto)
Location: A giant version of the Forest of Death, featuring smaller locations based on the other 4 Great Ninja Countries (mountains, desert, and a coast)
Enemies: Rogue ninja, White Zetsu, Ten Tails monsters, Tailed Beasts, and even Otsutsuki.
Power System: You can create chakra by mixing your physical and spiritual energy, which can then be used to perform jutsu. Everyone has an inborn Chakra Nature they align with that makes jutsu of that type easier. There are a wide variety of jutsu that anyone can learn, though some greatly drain energy. It's also possible to learn senjutsu, using natural energy to become a Sage and greatly increase the power of your attacks. Some jutsu can't be learned by anyone without special mutations; these are Kekkei Genkai, which could be acquired in very specific circumstances if you're able to steal it from a target, or even become a Jinchuriki by sealing a Tailed Beast inside yourself.
Planet Namek (Dragon Ball)
Location: An area with a green sky and blue grass, featuring large spaceships strewn about with mechanized interiors, and some volcanic activity and storms near the unstable center (or maybe destroyed Namek should be a border?)
Enemies: Androids, Great Apes, Frieza Force soldiers, and even more villains from the Dragon Ball world.
Power System: You can learn to control and use ki, of which there are two main types: normal and godly. Regular mortal ki is the type that everyone has access to; it allows the manipulation of ki as energy for attacks, flight, and sensing. Godly ki is on average much stronger than normal ki, with the only other difference being that normal ki users can't sense it. There are a few transformations available to all ki users, no matter their race, though it should be noted that each is incredibly difficult to obtain, all requiring specific trainers.
- Kaioken, which drains your stamina and damages your body in exchange for boosting your power when in use.
- Potential Unleashed, which is mostly just a straight power increase without other ill effects when in use.
- Beast, which drains your energy to use but seems to envelop you in an armor of ki that makes it harder to stop you.
- Destroyer Form, which requires godly ki but gives access to the deadly hakai, an ability that allows you to erase matter and energy.
- Ultra Instinct, which also requires godly ki but greatly boosts your power and lets you autonomously dodge attacks if you can.
Dark Continent (Hunter x Hunter)
Location: The brutal Dark Continent from Hunter x Hunter, featuring wide dunes with patches of jungle and volcano
Enemies: Rogue hunters, Chimera Ants, giant scary monsters
Power System: You can learn and manipulate Nen. Beyond possibly gaining a Nen Ability, which would fall into one of 6 categories, there are several innate techniques Nen has access to. Some more interesting ones are Gyo, which allows you to concentrate Nen into a body part such as the eyes to see aura and Nen concealed objects; In, which allows you to conceal anything with your Nen, hiding it from the senses; En, which allows you to feel and detect anything within a radius you create with your Nen; Ko, which allows you to conectrate all of your energy into one part of your body but leaving the rest unprotected; and Ken, which allows you to magnify your aura around your body, defending yourself from attacks. Nen conditions such as post-mortem Nen are also available to be utilized.
New World (One Piece)
Location: A dangerous sea with many islands featuring a variety of different environments, such as a Whole Cake Island-esque or Punk Hazard-esque location
Enemies: Pirates and Marines go across the seas of the New World. Dangerous beasts such as Sea Kings exist as well. Yonko, Warlords, and Admirals exist to be fought as well.
Power System: The main Power System here is Haki; there are 3 types of Haki, being Armament, Observation, and Conqueror's. The former 2 can be learned by anyone, but the latter require an innate kingly quality to use, typically associated with those of great ambition. Armament allows you to coat yourself in an invisible armor of will that can be sensed by other Haki users, and Observation allows you to sense other beings and with extreme development, see glimpses of the future to predict attacks. Conqueror's grants powerful augmentation to your attacks, and can knock out those with weak wills compared to your own. Other than that, martial arts can be learned from the One Piece world; this includes Fishman Karate which allows you to attack with water, the Six Powers which allow you to kick against the air and fire bullets of force among other abilities, and even something like Zoro's Asura which creates an illusion of a multiplied body to increase your attack force or Sanji's Diable Jambe which allows you to heat up your body to produce burning flames.
Hueco Mundo (Bleach)
Location: The black sky, white sands, and giant fortresses of Hueco Mundo, filled with ominous hideouts
Enemies: Hollows and Quincy soldiers roam Hueco Mundo. Stronger versions of them such as Arrancar fight as well, and you can even find powerful Espada, rogue Shinigami, or Quincy that will prove to be a challenge.
Power System: You have access to Reiryoku. Though not immediately giving you the zanpakuto abilities of a shinigami, you can use Reiryoku for a number of purposes. It gives access to Kido, divided into offensive, defensive, and healing spells; and techniques like Shunpo, which lets you flash step at immense speeds. Obtaining specific powers such as Hollowfication, Quincy abilities and even a Schrift, a Fullbring, or gaining a Zanpakuto could be acquired in specific circumstances, like becoming a Substitute Shinigami via a willing Shinigami. Hollowfication would likely be the easiest to obtain via some sort of infection, becoming a sort of Hollow hybrid that can use the powerful Cero blasts, but a full Hollow nature is maybe a possibility via your soul taking over a Hollow amalgamate, or possibly exposure to the Hogyoku. Said exposure to the Hogyoku could also result in the development of a Fullbring. Likewise, a certain old man could give you a Schrift that would turn you into a fullblown Quincy, though maybe that would be ill-advised considering his nature...
Victory Road (Pokémon)
Location: A gigantic cavern filled with underground lakes and waterfalls, within a mountain surrounded by plains and forest, ripe with danger within its depths
Enemies: 'Replica Pokémon', fascimiles of normal Pokémon with violent, destructive urges roam Victory Road. Due to some sort of influence, they can evolve into stronger, humanoid forms. There even exist powerful Legendary or Mythical Replica Pokémon.
Power System: There exist numerous discs known as Technical Machines, or TMs, which contain moves that can be learned not just by Pokémon, but by you. These TMs in particular are single use, and your foundation and abilities will determine what TMs you are compatible with. Beyond typical moves such as Fire Blast or Thunderbolt, moves with strange effects like Trick Room or Grassy Terrain could also be learned if compatible. Furthermore, some non-Replica Pokémon exist. If you obtain Pokéballs, you could catch and ally with them.
Cursed Tokyo (Jujutsu Kaisen)
Location: A city covered in curses, with strange "opened Domain Expansions" littered about
Enemies: Curses, Curse Users, and rival Sorcerers battle across the streets of Tokyo. Special Curses formed from the fears of humanity such as Disaster Curses exist, and there are also numerous Incarnated Sorcerers from a different time taking part in what they call the 'Culling Games'.
Power System: You can manipulate Cursed Energy. Beyond the fact that you could manifest an Innate Technique, Cursed Energy has multiple uses on its own. Beyond learning how to create barriers such as Simple Domain or Hollow Wicker Basket, you can 'multiply' Cursed Energy for various effects. Just multiplying it with itself will create Reverse Cursed Energy which can be used to heal yourself or even others, and achieving the required conditions to multiply your Cursed Energy of a single physical blow results in Black Flash, which lets you enter a 'flow state' for a period of time.
Stitched Lostbelts (Fate)
Location: Plains featuring major structures from Indo-European myths: Norse, Indian, British, Celtic, and of course Greek. Other cultures such as Mesoamerican or those of Sinosphere can be found as well.
Enemies: Mythological monsters and gods, rogue Servants, other creatures and enemies from the Fate franchise also appear. Noble Phantasms and beings with abilities from the Isekai Tournament will not appear to prevent confusion... with a few exceptions, including one major exception.
Power System: Beyond magecraft, the hallmark of Magi, you can also obtain powers close to that of the Heroic Spirits; the gods are not just enemies, and you can forge your own myths through great effort and triumph, gaining strength from their boons or even from their ire in their realm. While 'simply' gaining a Noble Phantasm or Servant Skills based on your labors is feasible, another possibility is usurping or combining with a deity or other being to become a sort of Pseudo-Servant yourself; compatability is a rigorous requirement. Other Noble Phantasms from Servants could be found and taken for your own use, as well.
Midgar (Final Fantasy)
Location: Mechanical areas resembling Midgar from Final Fantasy
Enemies: Classic Final Fantasy enemies such as Bomb, Malboro, Behemoth, or Omega, and recurring Summons such as Bahamut or Ifrit can be found. Stronger entities such as Weapons like Ruby Weapon or Emerald Weapon, Ozma, and even the mysterious Absolute Virtue can be found and challenged to battle.
Power System: You can access the Job system, letting you develop abilities related to certain Jobs. While everyone is by default a Freelancer, you can spec into other jobs; for instance, developing your prowess as a Black Mage will let you cast spells such as Firaga or Meteor, or Summoner will let you call upon powerful beings. Jobs are available from all across the Final Fantasy series, including rare ones such as Cannoneer or Astrologer. You will have higher affinity in a Job that matches well with your foundation.
Blasted Tokyo (SMT)
Location: Arid ruins of a once-sprawling city, littered with demons and giant monuments to gods
Enemies: Numerous Demons from Shin Megami Tensei can be found; this includes everything ranging from Jack Frost, to Black Ooze, to Matador. Some of the strongest entities like Lucifer, YVHV, Nyx, or Nyarlothotep exist as well. And yes, that last one is in the form of a certain famous human being.
Power System: Via the utilization of the Mantra programs, you can develop skills from the SMT series. These include Bufu (an ice spell), Recarm (a revive spell), Tarukaja (a stat boosting spell), and even something like Megido (a powerful spell that bypasses defenses). Not to mention, you could gain auto-skills like Null-Fire (which does what it says) or Pierce (which stops something like Null-Fire from doing what it says for an opponent). Allying with Demons is also possible, summoning them with programs or objects if you can obtain them. You could fuse Demons to create stronger ones, or drain them to use as your own power. You can also find items with a few fun effects, like Luster Candy increasing your strength as if you used many status boosting Skills at once.
The Wilds
Isekaijin Badlands
Location: Wide, green plains and great mountains surrounding an ominous tower, as dark clouds hang in the sky, featuring patches of fantasy settings.
Enemies: Stereotypical fantasy monsters can be found here, like dragons or goblins.
Power System: An amalgamation of generic isekai magic systems, you can learn to use spells based on elements or just unaspected mana via the use of rune-style magic. You can also reinforce yourself with pure mana to increase your attack power. The most esoteric these generic powers get is something like a 'Scan' spell to detect weaknesses or a 'Death' spell to inflict an instant death status effect. Say, don't we have another Power System that literally already has those itself...?
The Melting Pot
Location: Everything and anything
Enemies: See above
The Microcosms
The World That Never Was
A Microcosm located near the Forest of Death and Midgar. The stronghold of a bizarre organization that could still reside there, it involves two parts; the Dark City, an aptly named vacant urban sprawl filled with neon signs, and the massive stark white Castle That Never Was which floats above it. Filled with strange technology and stranger enemies, both Heartless and Nobodies lurk around the landscape, more concentrated in the Dark City and Castle That Never Was Respectively.
Rumors say that obtaining a Keyblade, becoming a Nobody, or even becoming a Heartless is possible in this area. Moreover, Kingdom Hearts itself rests above the Castle That Never Was; who knows what could be accomplished with it...?
Another useful tool that can be found are items specifically designed to help you use the abilities of bonds you made; magic artifacts that enable Drive, charms referred to as 'Wayfinders' that enable Dimension Link, or Heartbinders that allow you to Link Summon apparitions of allies for a short time.
Ruined Pinnacle
A Microcosm located near the Dark Continent and the New World. A mountain featuring streams and ruins, along with a never ending windstorm near the peak, it is an environment that is absolutely rich with powerful creatures referred to as Monsters. Uniquely, strange pockets and ruins of different environments appear, letting any variety of Monster thrive here. Though Monsters, like other varieties of enemies that can be found among the Tournament, seem to be invading other areas as they see fit.
Monsters can be crafted into powerful types of gear with the right knowhow; anything from massive blades to powerful 'bowguns'.
Athletic Pantheon
A Microcosm located near Hueco Mundo and Victory Road. Has characteristics and enemies of numerous platformer games, so the location itself is hard to describe; creatures of the Mushroom Kingdom, Planet Popstar, and Sonic's world can be found here, along with other aspects of platformers.
Instead of a proper Power System, "Power-Ups" can be found and wielded by any who come across them; Fire Flowers, Copy Abilities, and even the Chaos Emeralds. They don't last forever, but a boost in a pinch might be just what you need.
Raccoon City
A Microcosm located near Blasted Tokyo and the Stitched Lostbelt. A dilapidated city filled with mutant undead -- zombies. The typical variety of zombie is created from a viral agent known as the t-Virus, but other viral agents have been seen to infest the city. Parasitic arthropods known as Plagas, swarming worms known as Uroboros, and a strain of fungi simply referred to as Mold. All these and more cause mutant abberations to reign terror across the city. Moreover, the Arklay Mountains seem to harbor a deep forest with strange secrets...
While getting infected by any of these agents could spell doom and madness, perhaps they could be harnessed by you if you have an affinity?
