some headcanons (and canon) facts about him I love or find interesting

• british/american. jewish. " isnt he nigerian bc of answer..!!! " SHUT UP. sam is a projection of the shit tyler doesnt like abt himself. answer was wolfs song.
• got beat as a kid ( this is canon )
• bisexual, but says hes straight cuz his family is severely transphobic and he has internalized homophobia
• i can totally see him having a sweet tooth i literally DON'T care. do NOT lie to me. he wouldnt be open about it but i just know he loves cake.
• FAKE ASS idgafer. he cares bro he cares.
• he makes his voice deeper to make himself seem less like a little bitch. he actually sounds like a teenage boy. dont act tough bro we ALL heard that stutter in wolf.
• he wore a bracelet in the jamba mv, which i hc was from a bonding activity he got forced into.
• when he goes to sleep he pulls his beanie over his eyes. he never takes that shit off i bet it REEKS.

• its hard to tell when he's being sarcastic since he's usually straighforward as hell

i don't know what made me love this guy but he's been stuck in my brain ever since I saw him. his character is genuinely so interesting to me and I wish we had more of his past. call me greedy I know I should be greatful but i would've loved more info about his prom " date " that rejected him or even his sisters name at least lol

i want to make a rentry with all of his backstory / lore and songs and shit but i know ill get way too burnt out halfway through and close google and lose all my progress. not the first time it happened btw i was utterly devasted

i hate how people oversexualize and water down samuel, especially when they portay him as some tall muscular guy. hes so so so so so much more than that and it honestly annoys the hell out of me when people water down samuels character to an abuser just because he had one episode that was literally caused by salem being a hoe. like i would too???? and the tall muscular thing pisses me off because. HES CANONICALLY TALL YES. BUT HES SKINNY. IN CANON. " SCRAWNY LITTLE MF I WAS THAT GUY " AND U DRAW HIM BUFF AND MEATY. I WILL KAY EM ESS. just say you have zero understanding on his character at all 💔 I HATE IT SO BAD DUDE. i also don't like when people only think of him as an extension to wolflem / wolf. like yeah sure most of his canon interactions are against wolf or with wolf but he's his own guy man. i love samwolf so so much dont get me wrong but they're their own characters too and we should appreciate them both separate and together.

okay i wanna yap about sams character.

Okay so, as commonly known, his name was Samuel Patay Lavi The Third ( absolutely tragic ) which has ethnic backgrounds tying to Jewish culture and Britain. Samuel has an absent father and a younger sister, yet the absent father thing could've been a direct projection from Wolf, so we don't really know about his dad. But his mother and his sister are definitely canon, as mentioned in 48 and possibly other songs??
He suffered a lack of attention all through out his life and was presumably bullied throughout most of it, to which around highschool he snaps and kills 2-4 of his bullied and makes him end up in Camp Flog Gnaw after running away from home due to the situation. It's implied he kept in contact with his family, but the probability of that isn't very likely due to him saying the signal at the camp was horrible.

Samuel had struggled with money his whole life, and eventually turned to substance abuse and selling it to ease the suffering, which made it worse as he explains in 48 that he feels lost, he's a " go to guy " and he's way too deep into the business to back out now, especially with the money hes making from it. He has a very horrible guilty conscience about the whole arrangement, feeling like all those life's were ruined because of him and his inability to do anything to stop himself, but the thought of his family and supporting them gets him through it.
He had begun to date Salem when he first joined the camp, which he was around 16 years old. He's currently 20, " nearly 21 " in his own words. Salem's age has yet to be revealed ( from what i believe ) so thats a big yikes. But anyway, he genuinely feels and cares about Salem, as seen in Awkward. He has a softer inside to all that rough exterior and Salem helps him exercise that through being an emotional comforter of sorts.

He's shown to be impulsive and hot-headed, and implied to have BPD/AVPD in IFHY, i believe its more leaning to the AVPD side, but I do see where the BPD theories/headcanons come from. He has a very strong gut feeling and thinks with his heart rather than his head. He's very non flexible when it comes to his opinions on people, and is described as a " dweeb " once he softens up to people. He's seen to also be incredibly possessive in Awkward, with the line " You're my girlfriend, whether you like it or not. "
