"So we keep all of them in here," you barely notice someone saying right as you plow into the person walking ahead of you.
The group touring Tierney Castle along with you stops suddenly to look at some medieval-looking sort of shelving.
You wonder, is this what I paid good money to see?
Despite a ripple of mutters caused by your inattentiveness, you can only think of one person: your missing boyfriend. The two of you made the trip together, and it was supposed to be a lover's trip, yet he had something else to do.
Left with a load of bad vibes and time to kill, you decided to take the day-long tour alone to get your mind off of whatever misery would eventually reveal itself.
You tell yourself that this is a good opportunity to establish boundaries, to make clear with your boyfriend what you will and won't tolerate. But for the time being, you should just enjoy the tour.
