Sims 4 Femboy Guide v2

I've been asked a lot how to go about making a femboy in TS4. I don't know how I feel about being the resident expert on the subject but I'm writing this out so I can quickly point anons towards the info they're looking for. There will be tl;dr's if you don't care to read stuff.

If you haven't already, install a penis mod. I recommend either Simdulgence's or Noir's. Check ts4rebels if you need to download them. If installing Simdulgence's make sure you install the female versions as well as they're separate from the male ones.

The real trick to making a decent femboy is the chest. The default "tools" that EA gives for making a femboy aren't great. If you attempt to give a male sim a feminine frame you'll have inconsistencies/incompatibilities with clothing options and CAS parts for Wicked Whims. This causes feminine clothes to leave your sim with breasts, masculine ones warping the shape of the neck, and the incorrect set of WW Body Parts to be selectable from the in-game menu. This is why I'd suggest using one of the following three methods below, but which one you go with will likely depend on what you're going for.

Option 1: Female Sim w/ Feminine Frame + Simdulgence's SimpleChest

[tl;dr - install Simdulgence's SimpleChestFemale_Base and my SimpleChest_NoNipples_Edit package files and any accessory tops]

As stated above, I don't recommend going with a Male Sim w/ Feminine Frame. Instead I prefer to start a femboy sim off as an actual female sim in CAS. Yeah, I know "Aren't you just making a ftm troon?" You can be pedantic if you want but CAS + CC are just tools and this combination will give the best results in my opinion.

Start with your female sim in CAS. Make it look however fem or boyish you want, but scale down the breasts as small as they'll normally go. You'll be using Simdulgence's Simple Chest for Females as the base nude chest mesh for the sim. This gives a slender but male shaped chest mesh to your sim. While in CAS this will only show up as a clothing top but can be selected in the WW Body Selector to be set as your sims' default nude top anytime they'd remove their clothes.

By default, you'll have access to all clothing options for female/feminine framed sims. The catch is that most tops will still have noticable bumps where the breasts are supposed to be. Unfortunately the way the Simdulgence SimpleChest functions is that it requires the female breast morphs to be within a default range. Scaling them down any further past the default range through body presets or altered sliders will warp the mesh, leaving concave dips in the chest.

If slight breast bumps on certain clothing tops doesn't bother you then you should be good to go. However, if you're making a femboy, chances are you'll want the chest to be flat. The best way I've found to (quickly) get around this issue is by using accessory tops. These are clothing tops that have been converted to accessory items (such as gloves) that can be layered with normal tops. In this case you'd combine them with the SimpleChest top in CAS to give your sim a flat chest with a shirt that properly forms to the chest mesh. One note, the SimpleChest mesh has 3D nipples, which will show through accessory tops. I've made an edit to the mesh as a standalone top which flattens the nipples so they work better with accessory tops.

Another option if you've got some experience with Blender, is you can export any female top you want with Sims4Studio and edit the mesh to flatten out the breast shape as well as remove the verticies of the chest from the breast bones so it no longer scales with the breast sliders in CAS. Most people aren't going to want to do this but if you do you'll end up with feminine tops customized specifically for the SimpleChest mesh.

A third option is to find "Binders" or "Binder Tops" which are female tops that flatten the breasts and aren't affected by the breast slider. I'll add a few that I use.

Once in-game and loaded on a lot, click on your sim, select Wicked Whims > Personalization > Anatomy & Clothing > Genitals > Set to Have Penis. You can go into Body Selector and choose Simdulgence's "SimpleChest Female Standard" from the "Female Body Top" option.

Option 2: Female Sim w/ Feminine Fram + PcNerd's Flat Chest Morphs + Luumia's TIT-E Small Chest

[tl;dr - install Luumia's TIT-E Small and CAS_Part files + PcNerd's FlatChest Overlay and Sculpt package files]

This option is the same in that you start off with a female sim. However, instead of working around an alternate chest mesh, this method opts to force the normal morphs of the female mesh to be completely flat. When creating your sim, go to the body tab. If you installed the files I listed, you'll see options for body presets with flat breasts. Select one that works for you. After that you'll want to select the corresponding overlay in the tattoo section to help hide the normal underboob shadow of the nude female chest (it's typically at the bottom of the tattoo list). Lastly, similar to Option 1, you'll need to use an alternate chest mesh for the nude top. In this case you'll use Luumia's TIT-E Small. It will show up in CAS as well as the WW Body Parts List. This will give a flat chest for you to use. While it's nowhere near as realistic looking as Option 1, it has other benefits as a tradeoff.

The major plus to this option is that you have the most amount of clothing compatibility. All female tops will now be completely flat which gives you a good range of options to choose from. Also all accessory tops should work as well.

The major downside to this method however, aside from the look of the chest, is it's still beholden to Breast Bones. Any animation that alters or moves the breast bones of the female rig (usually WW animations) will still affect the chest of your sim made with this method, regardless of how flat the chest is.

Option 3: Male Sim w/ Masculine Frame + Body Presets

[tl;dr - install Obscurus' and Shandir's body presets]

It might seem like the worst option at first, but you can get surprisingly good results sticking with a male sim and masculine frame. The main trick here is starting with a decent body preset. Having some extra face sliders will help as well. The main drawbacks of this option are that:

  1. The normal morphs of the masculine frame don't lend themselves to slender, feminine features, hence why it's a good idea to find body presets that serve as a starting point. I've included some from Obscurus and Shandir. The other trick is getting a decent looking face. Needless to say, it's going to be tougher getting a feminine looking face with this option compared to the previous two
  2. You'll be stuck with all male/masculine clothing options. If you're wanting female/feminine clothes you'll need to find CC clothing options made specifically for the masculine frame as trying to use the default EA feminine clothes will look extrememly awkward and leave your femboy with breasts instead of a flat chest and a janky looking neck. For everyday or formal wear, Sforzinda has several feminine options for masculine frames. If you're wanting lewd wear or something like that though you'd probably need to look through places like loverslab or ts4rebels.

Hope that helps.
