You offer the warden of Time a cup of hot chocolate
"It's a bit chilly, so I thought you'd like something warm" you try to explain
You've only known her for a few weeks, so she treats you a bit coldly
Without saying anything, she takes the cup off of your hands
"This better be good" she mumbles
You're not a chef by any means, but you've always loved this family recipe, you hope she at least likes it
She blows on the cup a little, then takes a sip
Trying to not make it awkward, you focus on your own cup while trying to make small talk
Eventually, she finishes her cup
It seems like she warmed herself up thanks to the chocolate
"...I guess it was alright" she finally says
"Oh really? I'm glad"
"I'd be happy to make you more if you want" you offer
"...I'll think about it"
A few years pass, and you're in the kitchen at home
Your wife invited over the council, and were playing games
It was autumn already, and it was getting a bit chilly
"Babe, could you make us some hot chocolate?" you hear Kronii say
"Pleaaaase? I really love your recipe" Mumei chimes in
"Coming right up" you tell them
It takes a little bit to make since you want it to be perfect
Mumei and Bae come up to you since they lost her turn
"Can we help you?"
"Yeah, please take these with you" you say as you hand each of them a pair of cups
They happily take them away, Mumei gives a cup to Fauna and Bae one to Sana
You take the chance to add extra marshmallows to your wife's chocolate
You walk to the living room and sit right next to her, where you belong
"Here you go, babe"
"Thank you"
You'll never know if this was the reason you were able to get closer to her
But you're just happy you got to pass on the family recipe

She hears Mumei ask her
"Does it matter?"
"Not really, I love it like this"
She lets her take a cup and gleefully walks away
Meanwhile, she adds extra marshmallows to her own
