What is TetrattoZine?
TetrattoZine, or Tetzine as I've started calling it, is a digital zine project about Tetratto and its userbase! It will comprise of two sections: Tetratto history and culture, and the profiles of Tetratto users. The first section will be about how Tetratto and its community has developed, along with various inside jokes that the community has developed. The second section will be about the users of Tetratto now!
Personally, I am very grateful for the Tetratto community, as everyone has been very kind. It has provided a place for me to express myself without judgement. This is kind of my way of trying to give back! I know much of the community has an interest in graphic design and such things, so I just thought this would be a fun thing to do.
Essentially everyone that uses Tetratto is welcome to join, regardless of artistic or creative ability! This is very much a long term project and will take months to complete, but I highly suggest participating if you have the time! Everyone that contributes will be credited as "Name, @username"
This will be a digital zine and the final product will be a PDF. I plan to make a physical copy of it, though, so I'll also have instructions for anyone else who wants to make a physical copy.
Any Rules?
- Please follow Tetratto's TOS. I advise reading over them again for a refresher, but here's an abridged rundown of what's relevant:
- Content should not be intended to harass or upset the public,
- encourage dangerous activities,
- promote/spread hate or illegal acts of any kind,
- depict shocking or distressing things,
- include threats or promote acts of violence,
- or discriminate against other users.
- Don't harrass other Tetratto users
- Don't share illegal content
- Don't share AI generated content
- Please keep your content Safe For Work: this means no sexual content or gore. Remember there are minors in this project
- Again, be mindful and be kind to everyone participating!
- Pages submitted need to be vertical and in A5 dimensions. Please make sure your page is 300 DPI.
How can I participate?
Profile Contributor Info
- Every profile contributor gets a page dedicated to them, which they get to customize to be a profile about themselves.
- Every page should include a little basic information about you, such as your name, username, and pronouns.
- By default, everyone applying will be put into a survey polling people's opinion of you regarding what you are known for, how they would describe you, and other such things. Just a few fun and silly questions that you can add on your page.
- You can choose to opt out of this survey in your application.
- If you don't opt out, I ask that you put at least two results to those survey questions on your page.
- Other than this, go ham. Talk about your art, your interests, your yumeship, whatever. Make it represent you!
- You can request your page to be on the same spread as another users; otherwise, the order will be random. (This only really matters if you're planning on making a physical copy.)
- You must apply to be a profile contributor, especially if you want to be a part of the survey!
Culture Contributor Info
- I also need contributors for the pages about Tetratto history and culture. This includes:
- old UI pictures, possibly
- drama / incidents / tetratto inside jokes
- any community-wide thing that took place (for example, the spotify playlist)
- assistance in designing the pages that belong to this section
- ...In addition to other things I might not have considered. Anyone willing to help is greatly appreciated!
- Contributions in this regard can just be posted in the group.
- This is independent from being a profile contributor; you can do just culture, just profile, or both.
- You don't have to apply to contribute in this way! Just remember to talk to me about how you want to be credited.
Timeline + important deadlines
- March 28th: Profile contributor applications open
- April 11th: Profile contributor applications close
- April 12th: Tetzine survey posted
- April 17th: Tetzine survey closed
- May 1st: 1st check in *
- May 15th: 2nd check in *
- May 29th: 3rd check in *
- June 12th: Last call *
- June 13th: Profile contributor submissions deadline *
- July 11th: PDF out! End of Tetzine *
Anything marked with * is subject to change, depending on how fast contributors take to finish and submit their pages. This estimate mainly takes into consideration that this can be a very busy time for students, and so they may take longer to work on their submissions. However, if everyone is quick, this time frame can be cut down by a whole lot!
Please communicate to me sooner rather than later if these dates do not work for you!
Plans
mainly for my own reference on what to add here
