Lloris and the Doppelganger ship

Lloris looked through his spyglass out into the harbor and couldn’t believe his eyes. It was the same bloody ship that had just docked! The Mary Philippa, a schooner, had just docked 10 minutes ago and now he it seemed all like deja vu. Was he losing his mind?

He quickly turned back, and to his horror he saw the original Mary Philippa still docked and being loaded with cargo. Something was off and he quickly made his way down to the dock to figure out what this nonsense was. The doppelganger Mary Philippa pulled up right next to her “twin” as Lloris reached the dock, panting from his mad dash. He shouted out “Hold it right there boys, I needs to talk to ya!”

No reply came and Lloris was now pissed off, and thought this was some sort of prank. He drew his pistol and made his way towards the ship shouting “This ain’t no time for pranking, respond now or I will make ya respond.” He signaled the guards to come with him, and board this apparition.

But just as he was about to board the ship, her disguise was dropped and out of her came 30 pirates swinging ashore. Lloris didn’t panic, and shouted back to the militia “Boys, form up in line.”

The pirates fired at the Militia, but they held sturdy to deliver a volley into the pirates, killing and wounding about 8 of them. But the pirates were undeterred and soon joined in melee. The crew of the real Mary Philippa quickly joined in the struggle… on the side of the pirates to the shock of the militia, who fled with Lloris firing on them himself to get them to stop and screaming “You lily livered cowards, dagumit!” For whatever reason, the moment escaped Lloris’s mind and when he turned around, there were 15 buccaneers aiming their weapons at him at point blank range. He raised his hands and surrendered to them. “Now maties, the time for lootin’ has come. Take this landlubber aboard and get ready to plunder this settlement!” shouted the Pirate captain, Peg Legged Greg. His scheme had worked out perfectly, with his mate Ambrose taking the other ship into the port without raising any suspicion. These moonmen, he thought, had their mind on tits more than booty. The town of Nevius was burned down and pillaged, and all of the treasure they could find was loaded onto the two pirate ships, which were not the Mary Philippa but the Revenge and Comet.

But Ole’ Peg Legged Greg had made a great mistake in his assumptions about the moonmen. For his ruckus had attracted the attention of a certain Marcellus Priscus, the type of man you don’t cross. You see, Marcellus’s wife and children lived in Nevius and as it so happened, the liquidator himself was returning home on his beloved ship “Lady of the Moon”. The pirates didn’t count on this man, whose connection with the spiritual realm gave him powers that were otherworldly. It was said that the divines themselves supported him, and he knew all about these pirates. He spotted them just making their escape as the moon rose and he decided it was now time to unleash the full force of his powers.

As if the gods themselves were angered at what happened, Marcellus had the moon’s radiance blind the Pirates all at once. In great pain, and without sight, they ran right into a sandbank and tore the keel off their ship. But their pain was just beginning, for Marcellus was blessed by Moona with “Moonvision”, which allowed him to see at night. The pirates, suffering from temporary blindness and falling all over themselves stood no chance as Marcellus boarded first the Revenge with his Liquidators and then the Comet. It barely took 30 minutes for all the pirates to be all massacred by the sailors of the Lady of the Moon, and aboard they found Lloris, tied up. They unbound him and Lloris could barely believe what had happened. All the pirates were dead, and their ill-gotten treasures could be returned too.
