What is the Idol Event?
This is basically a glorified karaoke event where /vrg/’s top idols (this could be you!) will compete against each other in a gigantic clash of singing, dancing and fashion. You can enter as a solo contestant or get your friends together and jam out as a team to your favorite tunes. As this is an idol event there will be a j-pop lean but you're free to perform whatever type of song you want.
In the past we've had everything from standard Idol performances to Idol wrestling. The only limit is your creativity. Please consider participating. We’d love to see some new faces in the spotlight! There will also be some sub-events. Feel free to participate in as many or few as you like.
HOP! (CM Contest)
Too shy to perform but would still like to be involved? There's more to being an idol than singing and dancing!
For the first time ever we're hosting a CM contest you can participate in whether you're doing the main event or not. Record a commercial about whatever you want i.e. some kind of product (real or fake), event, cause you feel strongly about, etc and we'll play it at the show. Please keep it under 60 seconds (30 ideally).
Submissions after June 15th will be accepted on a case-by-case basis.
STEP!! (Million Live)
This year the All Stars show, a large group performance with as many people from /vrg/ as we can get, has been upgraded. It will be pre-recorded music video to better accommodate different time zones. To participate all you have to do is submit your vocals for the song and a unity package of your model in the group costume.
This year we're performing the Idolm@ster classic "Go My Way!!!"

Please be sure your model has the vrc visemes + "Blink"/"Blink Happy" shapekeys and your physbones (mainly hair and whatever else you want moving) are set up in the package.
Use whatever hair accessory you like. They're small so scale them up!
Submissions after June 15th will be accepted on a case-by-case basis.
JUMP!!! (/vrg/ Idol Festa)
The main event. A live performance contest between the various idol groups of /vrg/.
Contestants will submit a video with their vocals in it and dance to it on stage. No pre-canned dance animations are allowed!
The stage will have lots of monitors so feel free to add all kinds of cool visual effects to the vocals video you submit. You're free to enter as a solo contestant or a team.
Deadline: July 5
When is it?
