me when i make a character seem deeper than they are ( teruteru )
i literally love the connection of him and the sin of pride

i think its interesting to think about how he is an affect for the people around him and the relationships he has
also the assortment of facades and masks a person can hold to the excent its a subconsious reality
ive only just recently see someone mention seiko and teruterus relationship like oh my god FINALLY

also cannibalism as a symbol for self destruction leading to the destruction of others
and the idea of gluttony and never being satisfied in the end

ive been considering a hpd headcanon honestly
he was the first character i found myself relating to on multiple different levels it was so weird
i love delving into sin and human nature and how it can build or destroy a person

i used to be really into personalization in media and with that death personalization
the idea that someone can get punished in the worst way possible and that way is what they enjoy or do and the fact that someones death can have symbolism or irony even if unintentional

thats why i love himtheres so many things to hate about him which is why hes so interesting
the constant expression of the " caged animal " emotion
also him killing his mother as a sign of being renewed and leaving his old identity
since she was the thing he loved the most

but he only ever let go in despair cause yknow hes a teenager of course hed be scared to let go and the whole point was to do something thatd cause you the most despair whatever whatever
because even though his personality and what he made himself out to be had seemingly let go he never did
WHICH is also represented in the accent

also the fact his main palette consists of red means something too

i just love when characters or settings get individual spotlight and are focused on to the full extent
which is why i like dangans idea of chapters
cause it gives specific topics or characters to explore
sometimes they do a shit job though

so red is like a colour of passion
and one of teruterus main character points and themes is passion
in er uh
many ways !
its also a very bold colour
which would make him stand out more
he wants to be seen and he wants the approval and attention of the wealthy and the upper class
red also means anger
which obviously as everyone knows hes shown to have a temper
he doesnt like being confronted and hates facing the truth
red is a colour of panic
which is why he denies whats happening like 100 goddamn times
the reason he doesnt appear to care about being seen as a pervert is because he gets to have a title to be seen as more than some fry cook because even though hes seen that way people still recognize his talent
hes also a teenage boy no surprise there

also nobody ever mentioned in the trial if teruteru said it was an accident why did he stab byakuya like 10 times
i wanna say it was 18 but i cant remember if there even was an exact number
