𖤝 ៸៸Research of Ghoul Archetype 𖤝 Ghouls are one of the most fascinating type of demons from the Dialovers series. They are regarded as an inferior demon species or generally the weakest one, usually treated as servants. Like all the demons, they possess a special shapeshifting ability to turn into crows and they can technically suck blood. The main residence for most ghouls is Rotigenberg, an unpleasant area from the Demon World. Rotigenberg is a slum, by Kino's words, whereas food is scarce.

Ghouls have a few ways to produce offsprings. One is the natural way, through which 2 ghoul parents have a ghoul child. The other implies the transformation of a human who spent too much time within the Demon World. That's why their strength usually equals the one of the humans in that regard. Carla explains to Yui that corpses exposed to certain gasses can produce a ghoul. Lastly, rarely a demon can give birth to a ghoul.

Alongside some church people, Kino wanted to kill the Sakamkis and overthrow the demon cast to save and lead the ghouls out of their misery. The ghouls mostly follow Kino since they are afraid of him (and Yuri) and because of his selfish attitude. A little ghoul boy even calls him the "devil". Later, Kino kills the little ghoul boy for his "defiance". On of the endings ends well, with Kino apologising to the ghouls and actually being a decent leader to find the "promised land" whereas demons can live in peace.
