Who am I?

I'm a coder at heart and an avid hobby writer. I play lots and lots of games. I softmod my gaming consoles and I work on computers often. In my spare time, I occasionally make and freely observe fetish art to remain happy and content with my life. I also have an Associates' in Video Game Production.

Beyond that, I like to think I'm a loyal friend who is there when properly requested and appreciates everyone's time. I appreciate transparency over all else, even if it means oversharing a few gritty details. I am not perfect, nor am I a saint, but all I really, truly want at the end of every day is to see the smile on your face.

   FIMFiction is a time capsule of a fading era, and I am ten years late. Absolutely wild reads.
   Also G6 looks mid.

3. Jujutsu Kaisen & MHA: masterclasses in hype moments and aura.

5. Breaking Bad & Better Call Saul. Why are you blue?

My top 5 in gaming:

1. Battle Network & Star Force (ESPECIALLY STAR FORCE)!!!

   These games are difficult to recommend on their own, but they're so fascinating!

2. Warframe & Zenless Zone Zero

   Games with long and engaging grinds, basically!
   I've milked Warframe dry gameplay-wise, but Zenless has been my most recent fix.
   I only tend to take on one at a time. I don't want to sacrifice all of my funds to all of my interests.

3. Fun and engaging shooters, like Titanfall 2, Echo Point Nova, Cyberpunk 2077, Black Ops 3, ULTRAKILL, & so many more!

   Garry's Mod technically falls under this category

4. Good, satisfying stealth, like Batman: Arkham & the AC franchise (Unity in particular!!)

   The later games in the AC franchise have done a horrible job at keeping up the whole idea of AC. Besides Black Flag: Resynced, I take no interest with anything Ubisoft is doing with this franchise post-Unity, in other words.

5. Burgie's Cozy Kitchen

   New fixation when I'm bored :)

I work best in Lua and have had light experience in Java & Python. I once moonlighted as a Roblox coder and am currently working with with lots of Figura scripts. If I had to score myself, I'm an intermediate-advanced coder now, largely self-taught.

Thoughts on generative AI (artificial intelligence)?

We have opened another one of Pandora's Boxes, and it is no longer capable of being shut. In its' current state, I dislike it, but I engage with it as a hobby at the absolute most. I do not use it in my any of my work, and I will never use it in my work. I do not ask it for advice. I do not ask it to help me solve problems. I do not trust the retailers of this technology with my data or my likeness. I take a lot of pride in what I make because I made it with my hands, and I will not allow any robotic son-of-a-bitch to take that from me or anyone else. I go out of my way to learn the solutions to my problems by doing the research myself, so that I don't have to repeat the process of asking the question again. Learning is really important and I really enjoy the thrill of trying to enrich my knowledge!!

To explain, I treat generative AI with significant scrutiny. I am of the belief that generative AI is a tool that should be used to enrich human function. Nothing more. By definition, it is an algorithm that learns from a provided dataset and uses that data to predict what should be done next in a series of queries. By this definition, we already know that it has no heart, no moral compass, no nervous system to process emotion with, and no genuine intelligence. It can't be trusted to make actual judgments in our lives or help us solve problems that are better suited for human interaction. More specifically:

1. I am tolerant of people who use generative AI for extremely specific advice or pattern recognition. It functions well at this, but long-term, constant usage of it (say, a significant portion of the work you're doing) should be considered a sin.

   It is undeniable that genAI is making leaps and bounds in the scientific (particularly health) field due to its' ability to recognize patterns on a molecular level. It is enriching humanity directly in that use case, by optimizing existing scientific methods greatly and helping professionals reach conclusions sooner. Until it is perfect, I would not approve of widespread adoption.
   If you approve of AI pattern recognition for the use of scanning and tracking humans by keeping a log of their face, that's fucking dystopian! Nobody wants a Big Brother watching them behind their back.
   For coding in particular, it is great at helping one quickly resolve obscure problems with no documented forum post or goal. It bridges a gap between a noob coder and a pro coder by giving the noob an avenue to learn to be a pro that doesn't involve mindless hours of scrolling through forums or paying hundreds in education fees. Even in that case, you are never truly guaranteed to find the answer that you want. Coding is full of extremely hyper-specific problems that require hyper-specific solutions.
   Vibe coders: you're a disgrace to coding as I see it. You possess zero understanding of your creations and probably won't know how to stop it when your LLM wipes your hard drive.. or worse. I may be considered a 'luddite' for this opinion, but coding is all about finding and making the solutions to problems yourself. Taking that out of coding ruins the fun.
   Any other use of AI (general web surfing, research (scientific or not), fact-checking, therapy, or otherwise) is pointless. No matter how much unchecked internet access you give to an AI, it will always return an answer to make the user happy, even if it is totally incorrect. Until this is completely resolved, or people wake up to the fact that AI is not a reliable source of info, I will continue to encourage others to exercise their right to research and use their brain.

2. If you integrate any kind of work- concept art, actual art, code, models, textures, logos, what-have-you- that were made from generative AI, no matter how much editing you do, I am strongly against it. Don't show me your AI-generated creation, waifu, original masterpiece, or whatever, you will be shunned. It is not your work. It is a hollow shortcut to a fake product, made with very little critical thinking.

   If you approve of the illegal acquisition of copyrighted material that is commonly used in the most advanced AIs today, we are enemies. The AI industry's rapid, unchecked expansion is putting real humans in danger by taking away their individuality. AI should not be allowed to utilize content that it does not have the rights to in its' dataset for any purpose. AI should also not be allowed to replace genuine human interaction or creativity.
   If you like creating 'deepfakes' of real people, or making content with the intent to fool others, never talk to me. Deepfakes are a malicious and dangerous factor of AI usage and some day, there will be real, proper laws to combat it and there will be methods to track it. You are not safe.
   If you create memes using AI.. you're not funny anymore. It was kind of funny watching people make fake Mario memes, back when the technology was still cutting-edge, but I now find Veggietales very relevant to this discussion.. Put up your meme cap and go back to Reddit. Maybe learn how to tell your own jokes while you're at it.

3. If you like using AI in ways that it was not designed for (jailbreaking, smut, online chat roleplays), or you like intentionally griefing datasets by sending bad, corrupted data.. I don't mind you. That's the absolute most it's good for.

   Look, we're a lonely generation. There are now tools to cure it in this day and age, and if it's what you want to believe in, so be it. But I hope you understand that they can never replace a real person.
   Obviously, I don't like you if you use AI to break laws. There are methods to jailbreak the recipe to a pipe bomb if you know the right buttons to push.

4. If you're just messing with it for fun, hopefully a one-time thing, that's fine. You aren't taking it seriously, and I don't think you should be completely outlawed for being curious!
5. If you approve of the the continual expansion of AI datacenters, we are also enemies.

   These things are destroying the memory market, they're taking water from people, and are overall proving to be the danger that might kill us faster than climate change. In my humble opinion, we don't need any more data centers!!

There is a thin line to tread. I tiptoe this line, as I seek to understand both sides of this coin. I am admittedly quite curious about it still and I'm keeping tabs on it, because I want to see if we will ever find a point in which we will be able to not endager humanity with it. It is revolutionary technology, but the way it's being applied on a commercial level is wrong and should be completely revised (or just done away with) as soon as possible.
