For the first time in /CHAG/ history, it's Secret Santa Hearth's Warming! No need to spend Christmas alone, just join in on the holiday spirit in this festive card exchange, and you can have a gift to look forward to. Now's the time for you to finally ask for that card you've always wanted and to sharpen your own botmaking skills.

Attention Santas: If your Santee agreed to the card being public and you have delivered your Santee's card, you're now free to post your bot in the thread, set your Chub links for the cards to public, and so on. If you have delivered your Santee's card but I forgot to post it here, email me so I can add it!
Attention Santees: If you'd like me to send your feedback to your Santa, go ahead! Especially with anonymous Santas/Santees, I can still send communication/feedback on the delivered cards as an intermediary (since only I have their email). For anyone who wasn't anonymous, once a card is delivered, you can also talk directly with each other if you want, since you probably have their email from an external source, like Chub/prior knowledge. If your gift hasn't been delivered from your Santa yet, don't fret! There's still a week left until the Grinch deadline.

I never read wuxia, so I had to go by memes and knowledge of china, and then tone it down so the AI can be creative with the setting. Fun card nonetheless, I laughed many times during testing. |

Catbox | Alright so, living toys had been done before, and didn't wanted to add creatures to the thread, had an idea to use a breezie as I said and I hope it isn't too out there to fit the /r/. It's not specifically folklore, but I don't think many might think on a breezie for much. There was the weather temp idea to be added, but christmas here is usually hot already so I don't really get it and feels kinda meh, more of an overall situation than saving christmas, and wouldn't really be fitting to a breezie. So much dealers choice, so much openness, so tried to make it for more than just the event, a card that could be used for more and with a foundation to groups too. Had to still cut one of the intros off though, literally the last day, so no saving her from a foals tea time errand. Excuses, excuses, but, I hope he finds it to his liking. Catbox | This card has tortured the last two weeks of my life, and I think I have made and rebuilt this card too many times to count, owing to fixing Claude's abhorrent lack of knowledge on SS13 and the resulting breaks in immersion as well as technical issues for features that would ultimately be scrapped for more efficient and functional methods. But that's just what happens when you make something that's a labor of love, and I sincerely hope you enjoy it. How does this all work?
Sign-ups will open on the 15th of December, and close two days later at midnight UTC. After sign-ups close, entrants will be paired based on their compatibility as indicated on their sign-up forms. Entrants will then be emailed with their assignments, and will have until midnight UTC on Christmas Day to create and deliver their bots. After this, the delivered gifts made for Santees that said "Yes" to Question 4 will be made public on the Rentry.
"Santa" refers to an entrant in their role as a botmaker delivering a gift to another entrant that is their assigned Santee.
"Santee" refers to an entrant in their role as the receiver of a gift from their assigned Santa.
"Gift" refers to the card(s) made by a Santa for their assigned Santee.
You will be counted as delivering your gift ONLY after you have emailed the card to HearthsWarming@proton.me. Respect the privacy of your Santee and their wishlist: do NOT try to contact them directly or send them their gift directly during the event. Do NOT make the bot you're gifting public before the delivery deadline or if your Santee answered "No" to Question 4. By signing up, you agree to these terms.
If you do not deliver your gift to your Santee by this Christmas deadline, you will have one last chance to do so before midnight UTC of the first of January. Failure to deliver your Santee's gift by then will be considered grinching and you may be banned from next year's event.
