A Special Addition to Bungalow In the Snow

You hold your phone up to capture the image of what you expect the night to hold in store. The image fixes you, your best friend Laura, and her boyfriend Rye in front of the underground escape room house.

The Bungalow in the Snow event has already kicked off. You three just need to make it to the front of the line. Unfortunately, it seems like every young person in town already stands ahead of your group. Laura and Rye barely care. They enjoy their time together as if no one else is around.

The third wheel is the least fun as you know all too well.

Rye speaks quietly to you but you don't even realize until he calls your name.

"Do you know that guy?" he says again.

You think, do I know that guy? Do I know you? You can barely believe that he noticed anything but Laura.

"What guy?" you ask, looking this way and that.

Then you see him. Finley. You do know him.

"Oh, that's Finley," you say. "We have some classes together. Why?"

"Yeah, well he's about to stare a hole into your back. If you were my girl, and I saw some guy looking like that, it would be over."

Laura smiles and wraps her arms around Rye and they practically disappear again.
