the frights system (aka frights co.) is a d.i.d. collective which has been self diagnosed through extremely extensive research and processing. do not go around hounding on people for self diagnosing. we are people, just like you. medical diagnosis is not always accsessible for some. we are also queer and neurodivergent as well as pretty awesome and hot and sexy and cool.. yeahh.

dissociative identity disorder, or d.i.d. is a trauma based disorder (a disorder that develops due to severe trauma within one's childhood) with amnesia barriers. when speaking of this disorder or people with this disorder, it is extremely important to be respectful, kind, and most of all, educated. please do your research, and conduct it from trustworthy sources. the official wikipedia page (NOT the PLURALPEDIA good lord) for d.i.d. can be extremely helpful. our personal reccomendation for education on the disorder would be to specifically view the "diagnosis" and "signs and symptoms" tabs on the official wikipedia page, as well as consilting any possible peers with the disorder if they are willing to speak to you about the subject. be kind, and be smart.
