Roses! 
Rosa Tajikiae is a fictional species of roses, this is what my rentry is named for. They come from the book series His Dark Materials and The Book of Dust by Phillip Pullman. All roses are used to make rose oil and rosewater, but when the water or oil made from Rosa Tajikiae is dropped into the eyes, you can see life.
