"Rain woman" can refer to a few different things, including a Japanese yōkai, a modern slang term, and a famous painting. In Japanese folklore, an Ameonna (雨女) is a yōkai, or supernatural creature, associated with rain. More colloquially, in modern Japan, "ameonna" (or the male equivalent "ameotoko") refers to someone who seems to bring rain wherever they go, often ruining outdoor events. Additionally, there is a painting titled "The Rain Woman" by Svetlana Telets, which is described as having a haunting quality and is associated with paranormal stories.
