Since the thread is slowing down right now, I want to rant a bit and air out my frustrations. This is about lore so here's your warning to stop reading if you're not interested.

Based solely on lore, the fanbase often focuses on the time duo Ame and Kronii because they both have time powers. And unsurprisingly, Ame vs Kronii is a topic that comes up often. It's suggested often that Ame can hold her own against Kronii. However, there's just no way in hell that Ame is even roughly in the same ballpark in power level as Kronii. People speculate that Ame will be able to hold her own because apparently Ame's been on the run from Kronii for all this time after stealing Kronii's watch but that's exactly the reason why Ame is not on the same level as Kronii. From the twitter interaction and the birthday interaction, it's firmly established that Ame's MO for dealing with Kronii is to avoid confrontation and to run away. This suggests that Ame knows that a direct confrontation won't go well. This is inspite of the fact that there's only one Kronii in all tinelines whereas Ame can coordinate to some extent with other Ames in other timelines. There's also the fact that the source of Ame's time powers is a watch that originally belonged to Kronii. As an avatar of time, Kronii doesn't even need tools to use time powers. Kronii's watch can only be a strictly inferior version of Kronii's power. It doesn't make sense for Kronii's watch to be as powerful or even more powerful than Kronii herself. And this is an obvious one, but Kronii is a universal/multiversal or at least a cosmic being, just one step below a god, while Ame is a human being. Ame being able to go directly against Kronii contradicts every lore piece and interactions they've ever had.
And this isn't a supporting point for my argument but personally I think it's way more interesting for Ame to be a plucky normal human being with many tricks up her sleeves for evading an infinite eternal being such as Kronii even though she can't go head-to-head against Kronii. It works for a classic underdog story. Doesn't really work if Ame can already slay godlike beings.

I recall someone mentioning Ame's plan for the watch lore being that Ina helped her steal it

If there's only one Kronii where did the other Ame's got their watches? Does Ame have the power to recreate the technology/magic behind Kronii's timetravel

I'd question more why the watch exists at all, being that Kronii doesn't need it to use her time abilities it calls into question the point of creating something so powerful that can be used by anyone at all

I think it's a common trope for powerful beings to have weapons or objects that contain a fraction of their power that they can lend to others. It's much less common for that watch to be as powerful or even more powerful though. That kind of thing happens only if the being puts their life force or something else important into it. Kind of like what Sauron did in LotR.

Training? I recall one time she said she's a predecessor so probably the last warden used that to teach Kronii how to use it

I guess that'd be one way to work Time Academy into the lore, something like a training device for Warden candidates, it'd also explain why there would be multiple watches

The existence of things like Time Academy and Time Mom is necessary to talk about Kronii's own normal human experiences but isn't really compatible with the canon lore.

time mom I agree with, time academy though feels like it could be worked in depending on your interpretation

But it means multiple Wardens of Time were created by the gods and they all went to school to actually become a Warden of Time and Kronii was the one that was ultimately chosen.

which could work with the "middle management" version of her job she's used sometimes, not so much the all powerful warden of time most default to though

She's managed by the gods. They're the ones who placed Kronii in the Council.

I don't remember her talking about the existence of a previous warden. I know Fauna talked about her own predecessor though.

Lorewise I go with the idea that Kronii is a stickler for rules and won't fuck with timelines to get at Ame, while Ame has no reservations about fucking shit up. At least it evens the playing field a bit.
Also I like to imagine that a) the watch came from Bae looking to stir chaos or b) the watch was made by Mumei during one of her more lucid periods, and she wanted to give humans a leg up over Kronii. or it can be a team effort from Mubae.

Kronii is a stickler for rules and won't fuck with timelines

The real reason is that Kronii is fucking lazy and just sleeps all the time. She doesn't care as long as Ame isn't destroying things.

Yeah this is my interpretation. She's literally an infinite eternal being with time powers. Even if she has a deadline tomorrow, she can procrastinate until the end of the universe and just rewind time and finish the work by tomorrow. So no shit Kronii, the Warden of Time, is bad at tracking time. She doesn't need to track time at all. And it's also why she hates having a time limit. She can't deal with time limits at all because she's never dealt with it.

Yup. I was in the process of writing it when you posted the myth vs council idea.
I think it makes sense that technically Kronii is not allowed to interfere or break the rules but I don't know if lore Kronii actually cares about not interfering or breaking the rules. Kronii enslaved humanity seemingly of her own will. It wasn't part of her Warden of Time duties as evidenced by the fact that Sana was opposed to Kronii's tyranny. Personally my interpretation is that Kronii doesn't care Ame messes up timelines as long as it doesn't bother her. She's too lazy to deal with Ame if Ame makes it difficult to catch her.

wait SANA objected to kronii's tyranny? not mumei? or even fauna?
why does sana give a shit? i figured she was like galactus in that she was apathetic to the things of the universe. the universe is more or less her canvas to paint on.
why would she care about the little monkeys on planet #12931230?

Kronii is the only clear cut villain in the official lore.

The bits related to Kronii starts at the 40 second mark and Sana starts at the 51 second mark.

I go with the idea that just like how Gilgamesh from the Fate series jobs because of his arrogance, Kronii jobs because of her own laziness and pride.
