The Hhul

The Hhul is a nomadic people who roam the systems outside of the core sector. The Hhul people took the archival and maintenance of all Vitubian races' knowledge as their mission. Known for their gargantuan Library Ships and fighting prowess, they are a welcoming sight for colonists.

Library Ships

Dwarfing even dreadnaughts, these ships are the center of a Sept fleet. There are currently 6 of these ships active, with the oldest and biggest of them all hanging around the edge of the core cluster.
Supporting strong gravity generators, they provide everyone on board a lifestyle not dissimilar to large colonies or even ring habitats. Though the suite of high-end life-support systems has the arguably more crucial duty of providing the optimal environment for preserving artifacts. Anything from obsolete vehicles, taxidermy or even entire buildings are stored in these Library Ships. These artifacts are either bought by the curators, donated or rescued, forcibly or else. Library Ships also have sections opened to the public when staying in a system. A visit of a Library Ship to a system is generally celebrated due to the sheer amount of cultural items on board and the spectacle it provides. Scholars all fight for an opportunity to visit its collection and study real copies of historical documents that traces their history from even before the Seventh Trumpet. And artists would flood the ship for inspiration or even donate their own art for a chance to become famous in the sector.
The AI and database on board each ship is also notable, and they have become a sort of "gold standard" for the virtual archives all over the Nebula.

Life of a nomad

Although the Hhul often receives patronage from many wealthy persons, they do not only save keep art pieces and books. Although they swear neutrality, the prizes the Library Ships and the smaller, transport Vault Ships carry attracts pirates like flies. The people also see the fostering of any seeds of civilization as their goal. Under these conditions, the nomads developed a strong warrior culture. Battle fleets roam systems ahead of the Library Ship to clear out and suppress pirate activity, or lend their hand, albeit for a fee, in clearing out any undesirables, alien or familiar for the sectors they are staying at. And the lone courser fleets, detached from the Sept fleet would wander the void to prove themselves or map out the systems. Battle fleets might also detach themselves from the Sept to form a mercenary band and work freely for any willing employers.

The different Septs own space colonies and habitations as well. Some serve as secondary storage for artifacts but also serving as education facilities that service the residents of a sector. In fact, serving as educators is one of the major economic activities for the Hhul.

Weapons

EMMVs

EMMVs (Extra-Planetary High Mobility Maneuver Vehicles) or Mvees, are vaguely humanoid, crewed combat vehicles that are adapted to space combat. Their main arsenal consists of K-Lances firing electromagnetically accelerated shells assisted by pulse laser "rails" alongside from their physical, integrated charge rails; Fusion tipped, guided Pila; and particle containers that serve as its close-range weapon. They also serve as controllers of drones that serve as trucks for even more pila, torpedos and other types of munition, using chuubanite integrated Psy-links. Each EMMV packs as much firepower as a small frigate or destroyer. Their mission usually consists of striking the enemy with such speed and ferocity that they can never hope to reach the fleet proper. The many systems carried on board a EMMV might seem fancy, but they are some of the most ruggedized combat crafts in the Nebula. They are adapted to take different parts and systems in a button press, which eases logistics as the fleets stay outside of the core for an extended period of time.

While they are called Extra-Planetary, atmospheric versions of EMMVs exist, and EMMVs should be noted as highly modular. Modifying one for atmospheric duty is as simple as plug-and-play.
