You forgot how long the drive was to the airport
It's evening already but you made it anyway
You park the car and get her luggage out
"You sure you'll be alright?", you ask her as she checks-in
"Who do you think I am? Of course I'll be fine" she tells you
"Just don't forget your promise to take care of the house while I'm away", she says as she gives you a kiss on the cheek
"Fine, but you'll have to take care and call me every now and then" you respond while countering with a kiss on the lips
You arrived right on time, so she had to leave to board the plane
You hug and kiss one more time before she walks away
On the plane, she finds her seat and gets comfortable as she could be
"Oh yeah did I show you my progress on--", she stops herself
"Oh... right"
Not even 30 minutes separated and she can't help but miss you
She pulls up a blanket, trying to cover herself in the same way you do it for her
"I'll just make the coolest island ever while you take care of the house" she tells herself while pulling out her switch
Some hours later you receive a call
"....I made iiiiiit" you hear her say with a really tired voice
"...Did you not sleep at all?"
"I had stuff to do, you'll see" she responds with a giggle
"Alright, I've already started cleaning the house, you won't even recognize it" you tell her
"Yeah... I hope so! You're not staying there for no reason"
You keep talking for a little while, Kronii makes sure to not talk about her progress on Animal Crossing
"Take care, alright?" you tell her at the end
"Yeah... but aren't you forgetting something?" she asks
"...I love you" you finally tell her
"Love you too... I'll call you again" she responds
As you hang up, you go back to work. Gotta keep your promise with her
