Yubicraft and Chuubanite

The Island of Yubicraft is home to the one of (and likely the) largest and densest concentration of chuubanite in Vitubia. Due to the constant direct presence of divine entities, their passage into our phisycal world brings along a constant flow of vitibium from their point of entrance, which bonds with the high concentration of ores present in the underground.
This "source" is located just a few dozen meters below the surface of Sacred Spawn's main square, on a large flooded cave that bursts into the fields in the form of a river a few kilometers south of the Capital. It's not a portal or gate, but rather a stress point where divinities and vitium entities seem to have an easier time trascending to and from our realm, which makes the likelyhood of Vitubium capturing Magic Quanta very high.
The water carries and irrigates the entire land with extreme amaounts of vitibium and liquid chubanite, causing the entire fauna and flora of Yubicraft to be altered because of it. This includes the inhabitants, whichever their procedence is.
Large clusters of chuubanite can create individual stress pointes at their location.

Passive Effects

Humans

The intense chuubanite radiation causes the inhabitants of Yubicraft to be incredibly resilient to physical harm due to a healing factor. Their bodies are able to direct all energy of their natural processes into regeneration of tissue, as long as the blood loss isn't significant enough to kill the individual. The healing factor follows laws of biology, in which plaquets found on the blood clog and seal holes, before the affected tissues get repaired, it just happens in a few minutes instead of a few days.
This means that Yubicrafters, while unable to regrow parts of their bodies, are able to survive certain wounds that would normally be lethal such as a punctured artery or a stabbed heart, while not being able to survive a decapitation, or a constant state of blood loss.
This Healing factor consumes an insane amount of energy, so it will be greatly diminished should the person be hungry. In fact, is very common to see Yubicrafters carrying food around to keep their healing factor up when in battle.

There is a secondary effect. Due to the intensity of radiation, it is possible for humans to become chuubanite themselves. This process is very sudden and while the local belief is that those who stray from the guidance of a Goddess are cursed by them in such a way, the reality is that every Yubicrafter will turn into this once over 25% of their body mass is composed of vitubium.
Humans who become Chuubanite are known as "Endermen", and due to their composition being majority Vitubium (and thus, Magic Quanta) they live in a constant state of physical uncertainity, teleporting on impulse from different points of space. Endermen lose most of their consciousness and guide themselves only on instinct, their bodies transformed into elongated, dark figures due to the constant transicion between planes. There has been rare cases of Endermen retaining some cognition, but only enough to recall very basic things without keeping the ability to speak.
This state is irreversible.

Enviroment

The high level of vitubium have had the effect of severely altering most solids in the island, causing them to group in cubic shapes.
Insert believable reason why here.
The high levels of vitubium have had the effect of severely altering most solids in the island, causing them to group in cubic shapes. Yubicraftian vitubium tends to crystallize into a cubic structure whenever it is allowed to, and since matter is bound to the vitubium, forming chuubanite, most materials tend to be affected by those forces. This has two most significant macro effects.
First, these substances tend to follow cubic growth patterns, with stones solidifying in the shape of cubic crystals, soil particles tending to stick together along cubic axes, and plants tend to grow following cubic shapes.
Second, this results in the presence of cubic cleavage planes in materials. Fractures in solid materials follow these cleavage planes, thus, breaking a yubicraftian stone or piece of wood will usually result in cube-shaped pieces.

Chuubanite radiation on the island is strong enough to heavily interfere with electric devices, and when a divine entity is physically and openly present on the island, this is aplified making non-observational navigation impossible as far as 300 kms from the shore.

Active Effects

Smithing is a key activity in Yubicraft regardless of the City-State. The abundance of ores means tools and weapons can be made of multiple materials: Iron, wood, copper, stone, diamond and a unique ore native to the isalnd: Netherite. These elements seems to especially bond with vitubium, causing them to have a faint glow which is useful for the workers at the mines and out at night.
However, their biggest attribute is the ability of being "Enchanted".
By carving specific sigils, these materials may aquire particular qualities. It is only possible to "activate" one ocntinuous mass of chuubanite, so it's impossible to "stack" these enchantmens, but wearing or using a variety of chuubanite items is the usual solution to this.
"Enchanting" is a very delicate process that only master blacksmiths are able to do, requiring at the very least 25 years of experience in the field. In fact, in Yubicraft it is forbidden to practice Enchanting for anyone younger than 30 years old, as agreed by all City-States after an unfortunate series of tragedies regarding inexperienced smithers attempting sigil working, the last one causing an explosion that devastated Takotown and certain other city states.

Smithing and "Enchantments"

The following are Enchantments and their effects. These only work once the material of the item has been molded into the item itself. In a way, the process of creating the item is part of making the sigil for activation

  • Mending - The item is able to be repaired by putting it in contact with the same material
  • Unbreaking - Increases item durability to impacts and bludgeoning
  • Vanishing - The item is destroyed should their owner die (it requires a matching glyph on the user's wrist)
  • Aqua Affinity - Stops any rusting or decomposition by water
  • Feather Falling - Increases friction with air significantly
  • Fire Protection - Increases the endurance to high temperatures
  • Respiration - Generates a constant bubble of air around the material.
  • Thorns - Reflects any energy that impacts the item, kinetic, luminic, etc.
  • Efficiency - Items are able to more easily carve into hard material, mostly used for pickaxes.
  • Fire Aspect - The item sets materials on fire
  • Knockback - Items create shockwaves on impact
  • Sharpness - Allows edge retention similar to that of obsidian
  • Loyalty - The item returns to the general area of the user when thrown (it requires a matching glyph on the user's wrist)
  • Silk Touch - Mined blocks with this item will drop as blocks instead of breaking into other items/blocks.
