Introduction
Vernos was appointed to be a substitute to the Infinitum/Chronobanks Co. observer to the wargames after the previous observer, the Manager of the Trade Office at Gehenna, fell ill. He is slightly out of his depth but is extremely eager to see the events unfold.
Employed by the Chronobanks Co., but is not a member of the Merchant House.

Descriptions
Appearance:
Tall and lithe, as Vestons tend to be. However, years of mori chuubanite exposure (both in the lab and living in Gehenna) has made Vernos slightly stronger and bulkier than your average Veston, even though he does not exercise.
Has shoulder length grey-silver hair, which he keeps tied most of the time.
His eyes are red, a trait sometimes found in Vestons.
Incredibly well preserved: Despite his age, Vernos looks like he is still in his mid to late twenties. However, his age is catching up on him and he is now slightly slower and weaker then he used to be in his prime, despite the beneficial effects of Moriji air.
Clothing and Items of Uniform
Dresses well, usually in Nasfaqg style clothing, often black. In official events, he wears a top hat and a ceremonial sword (on his left hip) given to doctorate graduates of K.U.T by the Chronobanks Co. The sword's edge is dull, but the weapon could be deadly if it were used to stab someone, or if the edge was sharpened. The sword is decorated with engravings of gears and Infinitum religious symbolism.
Carries his deathmask on his right hip. His deathmask is a simple design, a humanoid skull with sharp triangular teeth, and long snake-like fangs. The mask is white, and has black and gold decorations, including a prayer phrase engraved on its forehead in black Kat Nol Calligraphy. The phrase mentions no deities by name nor addresses any specific deity directly. The prayer is a plea for divine assistance in the form of wisdom and prosperity.
Carries with him Haruko Sankokujin's Bone Promise; A pendant crafted of a rabbit's skull and four hawk talons. The talons have chuubanitic residue in them, and glow a weak red light that can only be seen in absolute dark.
Personality, dream, and habit notes:
Physical combat and danger excites him, but he is also very afraid of them. Avoids physical conflict, but enjoys watching it, and hearing stories about it. If dropped into a life-or-death situation he would likely fall into a state of mind which would be a weird mixture of terror and exhilaration. He would not be able to use his mental faculties well in this state, which would probably lead to him taking stupid risks and getting hurt in the process.
Has a racial fetish for chuubanitic humanoid races. His favourite are deadbeats, whose bone structure he finds deeply fascinating, and attractive. Some may find this obsession disturbing, which is why Vernos keeps it well hidden. However if given a chance, Vernos will always take the opportunity to physically touch a deadbeat, be it through a handshake, a hug, or other means (for most of which his wife is the only "victim"). His interest is mostly directed at females, but isn't exclusive to females.
Finds catalognauts of any race extremely fascinating. Would love to befriend, interview, or experiment on, a catalognaut.
He is relatively polite. Vernos thinks that politeness and good conduct are very important, especially in work and between strangers.
In private, during his free time, and with friends he will relax and loosen up, but he will keep his use of language proper.
The only swearword he will use in non-life-or-death situations is "(Oh) Boros", which he picked up during his stay at Infinitum. If Vernos wants to insult someone, he would most likely call them "A son of a snake" and nothing worse than that.
Reserved and somewhat introverted. Will avoid talking to people unnecessarily, unless the people in question are his friends, talking to them is a part of his job, or the people in question are very interesting to him.
Generally friendly if approached. Does not have many enemies and does not want to make any. Despite his outward friendliness, does not easily open up to new people.
Eager to show off his expertise in areas where he feels confident (mostly academic subjects). Has a habit of rambling and going on tangents if allowed to talk about topics he finds interesting uninterrupted.
Eager to pass on his (publicized) knowledge on others. Guards his work-in-progress research papers and their content almost to the point of paranoia.
Forgiving to people who show genuine regret. Will usually give a second and a third chance to those who wrong against him, but not more, especially if the person in question shows no willingness to change.
Protective of his friends and family. Will never forgive someone who has wronged or insulted his wife or son.
Despite Haruko Sankokujin being physically more capable, in a dangerous situation Vernos would attempt to protect her. This has happened before, and Haruko has chewed him out for endangering himself. Despite this, Haruko finds this side of Vernos cute.
Hates it when people touch his items, especially items dear to him like his notes or Haruko's Bone Promise, without permission. The only exception to this rule is his wife, whom Vernos is extremely comfortable with and whom he trusts deeply.
Wishes for his son Lucius to enroll into K.U.T, and become an esteemed employee of Chronobanks Co. or Tripoint.
Looks back to his years at Kronistadt with longing. Wishes to one day take Haruko and Lucius to visit Infinitum.
Wishes to earn a doctorate in Bio-Chuubanitics.
Wishes to gain a permanent teaching position at S.A.J.G. He probably has been offered one, but he is currently unable to work full time at the academy.

History
Born in Elysium, moved to the Serene Republic at 15. Enrolled into the Apeiron Academy of Theology and Natural Sciences at 19, and moved to its sister location in Kronistadt at 22. Lived in kronistadt until 32, teaching and doing research at K.U.T. Hired as an economic advisor by the Chronobanks Co. at 32, and moved to Gehenna where he has worked as an economic advisor at the Trade Office ever since. Enrolled into S.A.J.G at 33, where he studies and occasionally works at to this day. Met Haruko Sankokujin at 33, and married her at 36. Had his first son at 37. Is currently, at 1132/1133 VTE 45 years old.

Im considering writing a short story about his hunt for the deer, but i might not do it. next few weeks will be busy and i wont have much free time.
