Pomu Rainpuff: The Chaotic Fairy

As one of the three members of "LazuLight" the founding Goddesses of Ninisani and the heads of the Pantheon, Pomu Rainpuff is one of the most important and revered Goddesses in the Pantheon. She is the primarily known as the Goddess of Nature, Weather and Chaos; but she also serves as a Goddess of Hope, Inspiration, Dance, Illusions, Trickery, Hunters, Forests, and Wildlife as well.

The Followers of Pomu as their patron, are known as Pomudachi and are largely concentrated in the Kingdom of Pomerania. Every Pomudachi aims to be like Pomu in some way, thus their naming customs revolve around her first name being used in their own first names as the first step on the path to becoming Pomu. Her own desire for dominance and power as a Goddess has driven Pomudachi to be some of the most warlike people in all of Ninisani, and it comes as no surprise that this desire has also led to the very Kingdom of Pomerania being fractured too. It is often said because of this that Pomudachi spend most of their time fighting each other than actual enemies.

The Sacred Forests of Pomerania are considered to be Holy Ground by Pomudachi, and pilgrimages to the forest, specifically to Pomu's Tree of Life are an essential part of the life of a Pomudachi. From the tree, PP energy is extracted for consumption and Pomuleaf is smoked from the magically leaves that the tree has. PP Energy is considered to be the divine essence of Pomu herself and despite its bitter taste, is believed to cure illnesses and provide an exhilaration that no other substance can produce, as if one is truly becoming Pomu herself. The Forest itself is protected by many guards, as is the regulation of PP energy and Pomuleaf. Fires have been set in the past to destroy the forest but have always been put out by a sudden rainfall, as if the Goddess herself protects her forest.

Pomu loves to interfere with the affairs of mortals through trickery and deception and is known to appear as a nymph or an old woman before people. It is said that where chaos is found, Pomu certainly had something to do with it herself. She also is known to visit the dreams of her followers, either in a sexual form or in a divine form of hope and inspiration. It is claimed the Goddess gave birth to a son by a commoner, who came to be known as Pomeranius the Great. There are also other forms of this story that say that he was a Child of Elira and Pomu too. Either way, this man would become one of the most powerful rulers Ninisani has ever seen, and it is said that Pomerlane himself is his ancestor.

Amongst her fellow Gods and Goddess, Pomu is known to have a close relationship with both of her LazuLight Founders, Selen, and Rosemi. She also has a rivalry with the God Luca Kaneshiro, a fellow God of Chaos, who is often said to get into chaotic fights and matches of trickery with Pomu. Selen and Pomu are known as the Blood Sisters, who both love to cause great amounts of chaos together and it is rumored that the two are lovers like Elira and Pomu traditionally are. Rosemi herself is a child of Pomu, or at least a product of the Fairy, as her birth in her garden was the result of Pomu tending her. Pomu is also known to have pollinated the Rose Goddess, who according to legend, gave birth to the Rosebuds who inhabit Pomerania. There is also a sect of Pomudachi who worship Pomu's alleged sister, Pomura Inapuff, which has caused great tension in Pomerania due to Pomura being seen as Pomu's great enemy according to mythos. Inapuff worshippers claim that both are of the same nature and are both version of Pomu herself, but traditionalists dispute this greatly.
